How is it a min of ‘x’ mins, but he blows up right on 4 mins and they’ve had a couple of stoppages. Doubt it would have affected the outcome.

Only 4 minutes injury time was a joke. We've played barely half of that. How can he not add anything for the two "fouls" in injury time? And then blow up short even then.
They were the better team though

Frustrating during injury time. 4 added minutes - the ball was in play for barely a minute. Spain ran the clock down really well. But you can’t have 4 minutes added where the ball isn’t in play.

Spain were head and shoulders above us. Deserved winners. England poor throughout the tournament, lived on moments but in general play we were dreadful. Hopefully Southgate’s last game.

On your bike Gareth
If the FA give him another contract it'll be a joke. They're accepting never winning anything because he's terrified to go for it. What's the point in getting to finals and then just trying to not lose

Four mins of injury time, two of those were spent watching the Spanish roll around on the floor. Been like that all tournament. I know people moaned about excessive time added at the start of the last World Cup, but I'd rather that than the current approach. IFAB have it arse-backwards when it comes to time-wasting. Just add the time on so the delaying tactics don't work. Same goes for the limits on substitutions in the EFL.

Let's be honest, we were useless all tournament. Very lucky route and individual brilliance somehow got us to the final but Spain really showed how pathetic Gareths tactics are.

Too many of the so-called superstars didn't step up, I'm afraid.
It's alright Bellingham kicking bottles over at the end, not good enough lad. Great assist, but he's not had a great tournament. Neither has Foden. These are supposed to be among the best players in the world.
Cole Palmer on the other hand, he made an impact.

Shit. That means that we have to put up with all this “football’s coming home” again in two years at the World Cup. Any good team beats us because we don’t pick players that suit a system, just shoehorn square pegs into round holes all over the place.

Spain by far the best team in the tournament but I hope to God that is Southgates last game. The negative boring tactics are soul destroying.
When we equalised they were walking the ball from their own penalty area into ours without any challenge whatsoever, it was always coming.
Score sit deep. The exact same thing we did against the Italians and same outcome. He is a piss poor tactician.

Spain were a much better and stronger team.
From a football point of view, great to see a team playing with two out and out wingers.

We got what we deserved. 10 minutes in 90 doesn't cut it. Our game plan of hoping someone does something special nearly worked again, but Spain were better drilled with a better gameplay. Pickford saved us from losing comfortably.

Ah well...its not like its Town that lost Agreed. Club before country every day of the week. I don’t think many supporters of any clubs would disagree. Your club teams set off with 3-4 trophies to chase every season, a comp every 2 years. Hard to be more fervent about your national team every 2 years.

2 years for a new coach to come in and use the talent available. Southgate has had a phenomenal run but time for a change in approach.

At 1 0 down Spain we’re trying to make it 2 0 we were defending deep hoping for a break and goal. We 5 mins left Spain we’re trying win it we were trying to defend for extra time. Yes we somehow got to the final but due to some seriously good luck. If GS stays in charge at least we can settle for knowing we will not win anything.

I think he will leave. I just feel sorry for the club that signs him on the back of his England record. He had a team full of good or great players yet he kept the handbrake on them. Spain much better throughout.

We need a Venables type character to take this side forward.
I’ve not get enough brain cells to think who that might be.
