That’s a pen. That’s horrible from Porteous. Gor rhe ball. Fuck all wrong with that unless you're soft.

Then planted his studs on Gundogan's shin whilst airborne. Games gone soft. Slow mo always makes it look worse. This is not the footballing hill you want to die on. By any definition, it’s a straight red. He doesn’t intentionally go in to hurt the forward, but intent doesn’t enter into it. It is a dangerous, out of control lunge with both feet off the floor, where downward force in the challenge lands, full-on, on Gundogan’s shin. It is a textbook straight red, and arguing otherwise is to be in ignorance of the laws of the game.

Scotland have been awful tonight. They are lucky to have gone down 5-1, which says a lot. It also says a lot that they improved with 10.

Kroos hasnt run more than 20 yards at anyone time. Im glad they brought Muller on, if anyone in the world 'looks' German, its him.. Its a good finish from Rudiger to be fair.. I thought Hanvey had retired a while ago, on some levels I wasnt wrong😉

That would not have been a penalty or a sending off back in the day whatever. Rightly or wrongly that rule was changed in the woke era. I'm using the term 'woke' ironically here (for Reform voters).

I was just about to say he couldn't keep us out at Vicarage Road in Feb, so he had no chance against the Germans - but he was suspended for that game so your point is well and truly proven 😂

So if I touch the ball, slightly (which requires a slow motion to confirm it even though it looks worse) and then continue to head butt the player I’ve ‘tackled’, its play on? Which ‘day’ are we referring to? Just for context. 1918? 😁

Scotland were dire, heavens knows what formation they were playing but both wings were vacant all match.
Chasing shadows and technically poor...one shot all game, off target.
Poor spectacle that was.

Hideous foul from the lad who got carded. A leg breaker a few inches further up. Reckless and really cost his side. What was he thinking with that lunge so close to the six yard box?!
Having seen the goals I think the Jocks keeper could’ve done better with a couple too.

VAR has been spot on tonight. Used how it should be. Why is it that in the PL we use it so badly?? Don't use the offside system everyone else does but they are next season. The other decisions seemed pretty clear cut tbh but guess you never know what inferior officials would give particularly in a high pressured game. The guy tonight is a top class ref and been in the Champions league for ages. There was no surrounding the ref either from players so he obviously had their respect. Although Robertson was trying to argue the toss over that red card - suppose if it had been at Anfield in a Liverpool kit his team mate might have got away with it!

Don’t like VAR , prefer to never see it at any town games but if we ever do that is exactly how it should be used. Our country’s use of the VAR system can learn lessons and should take note. ( won’t happen bunch of out of touch morons )

Remember France 98, Scotland chose Del Amitri as their official World Cup anthem with a rather optimistic little ditty called "Don't Come Home Too Soon"...
And they didn't... they came home after the group stages as usual! 🤣

I'm still a believer in as long as you get the ball first, that's all that matters. I understand why a penalty was given, I do understand why a red was given. But do I agree? Absolutely not.

Interesting about the not surrounding the referee idea. What will the referee do the first time it happens? 4 or 5 yellow cards in one go,can't see it.

100% a red card as per the rules.
Both feet off the ground, studs up, with the force of the tackle coming down on him or his shin to be more specific.
Whether he intended to hurt him or not is irrelevant. It was a dangerous and reckless challenge with a potential of being career ruining. Don’t think there’s any being soft about it with that one.
Red card all day long and twice on a Sunday.
Guys a moron for committing that sort of challenge in his own box.
