Was relegation inevitable 10-12 months ago when Fotheringham was in charge? I’d say yes which is why we had to bus Warnock in. The situation is becoming almost identical 1 year on.

I voted no and for now i’m sticking to no. But the bench on Tuesday and today has me worried and just shows how weak our squad depth is. Lots and lots of kids who are nowhere near championship standard. Indeed there’s a lot of players in the squad who are not championship standard. Lots of work needs doing in January.
We’ve 11 games before the January window opens. Somehow we need to pick up enough points to still be out of the relegation zone at that point.
We then play 4 games in January, where we will hopefully strengthen the squad.
And then 17 matches once the window closes.

I’ve been nothing but positive about DM and KN , today totally pissed me off , is edwards all about he’s a poor footballer and as been brought in because he’s a player on Cartwrights old companiy books ( Beswick sports) ) , embarrassing. We let Rhodes go who may be average in the championship but average is pretty dam good when you look at Harratt and Hudlin. DM is making us look a very poor side tactically and seems to have made a team that could defend look defensively woe. Losing like that today was embarrassing, not acceptable, a Leeds work friend texted me to gloat saying he felt sorry for our fans . He was spot on ( gloating twat) it’s the worst I’ve seen us play for 45 mins for as long as I can remember. Not fucking acceptable !!!!!! Kevin Nagle !!!!!!!!!!!

I don't understand why anyone thinks it will. If anything we will be worse off because Thomas will go and possibly Rudoni.

I think it's worse. The squad's weaker than last season. And we've already got rid of the miracle worker. I agree. We look worse. Definitely worse. The main thing holding us back last season was Bromby's ego not allowing us to lose MF sooner, but there was always the hope there, even if it was a faint glimmer. I just don't see what happens this time. We can't bring in the manager we need (because we've fired him), and the squad is becoming weaker by the year. I think this season is when it finally catches us up and it'll be a very long road back. The worst part of it is that this was completely avoidable after the heroics of last year, but our neglectful board have dragged us back into it.

I doubt if I'll still be around sadly.

I can see Nagle asset strip to get his money back then let us fester like Rubery did.

Will Nagle invest in some quality players in January or is he going to keep hiding behind this FFP bollocks?
It’s plain to see how weak this squad is after years of under investment, which is quite simply criminal after 2 years in the greedy league 2017-2019 followed by 3 years of parachute payments
No wonder the fanbase is so pissed off and many thousands are already staying away, same old tinpot Huddersfield Town

If we sign anybody, it will be from the Edwards stable.

Nothing whatsoever to suggest they will, unless a stupid offer comes in. I’m pretty sure we’ll bring 2-3 players in in January. If we get those right, along with injured players returning and maybe even a fit and firing Jordan Rhodes returning, then we’ve every chance of staying up

Leeds mate of mine said we're the worst team hes seen at elland rd this season, they've played both massive who somehow managed a 0-0 and QPR who although they lost it was only 1-0, 0-0 and 1-0 says they are still in the game going into the final minute, we were dead and buriied at half time.

It's not inconceivable that we could be in the bottom 3 by 5pm next Saturday. Rotherham are hitting some form and have Wednesday and QPR as their next two games.

I read posts like this and after going today it does really hit you. Getting old starts making you realise time is an issue and it’s about time our great club had a great leader , we have settled for being little old Huddersfield for far too long , the squad is currently pathetic and to lose to those scumbags in the manor we did today is completely unacceptable. If you want to make a difference KN to our club , stop fucking around and start some proper investment, because so far it’s been nothing but pathetic.

OK When we the last time we bought 3 decent players in January? Or anytime to be honest. First season back in the championship after relegation from the PL. Lossl, Toffolo, ESR, Willock. 3 loans and 1 permanent….not that long ago really whilst i appreciate its not easy, we’ve done it in the not too distant past And we need the same now. What we also have to do is stop being cheap - that window we missed out on Adeboyajo, the lad who went to Luton, for £500,000. At more or less the same time Ben Whiteman - a player we should have been looking at to replace Hogg - went to Preston for £750,000. Neither were small fees, but both were very reasonable (considering the ridiculous fees elsewhere). We don't need to spend silly money, but we do need to be prepared to get the chequebook out for the players we enquire about. Stop balking at paying decent money for good players, and the same goes for paying wages for players on loan. We need players for the first-team, here and now. We have a core of potential, but shouldn't be relying on it to dig us out. At a minimum, we need a striker (I'd want Kieffer Moore), two central midfielders (at least one of whom is a proper Hogg-a-like), and a right-back. I'd also recall Jordan Rhodes. I know it's a different tune from the summer, when I thought we were a striker light, but this recent run, injuries, etc, plus the fact we no longer have Warnock, suggests (understatement...) we need much more. And we have to pay for what we want.
