That’s exactly how i see it. Barnsley and Charlton? They are in the doldrums and will be for years. Stockport were the Wrexham of non league before Wrexham and riding a . Which of the previous owners do you want back other than Hoyle and Nagle? Davey? Potless without parachute money? Long bottom? Binns or whatever they were called. All men who cannot afford a successful club. We’ve been shit for my entire lifetime with the exception of when 3 rich multi millionaires fancied a throw of the dice. Rich owners are not the norm for Huddersfield Town and when they are not here we are shit (yes even shitter than we are right now) The game and the ownerships involved in it have changed vastly since Hoyle took charge in 2008 - your talk about previous owners before him as though they would be the only viable alternatives is again a completely narrow-minded view. Don't look at the pre-Hoyle days as the norm. Times have moved on. Wealthy owners are a lot more common; and you don't have to rely on some local businessman to step up to the plate especially for a reasonably attractive club like ours. Kevin, on paper, looked like the exact type of owner you would want to come in, and could expect to do so given our potential as a club. I really hope he gets things together because we have a lot of promise that is being criminally unfulfilled. We are both clearly as upset as each other about how it’s going. You might even be right that we are more attractive than when Rubery wanted out and we spiralled almost out of existence. I know i harp on about Bradford but look at their stadium and fan base. are they doing in Division 4? The answer is simple no one wants to invest in a West Yorkshire club that loses money, why are we any different. Cause we were good 100 years ago? For me an owner only really has 2 jobs. Put the money up and employ good people. He’s exceeding my expectations on the first and failing on the second. To this day the whole Warnock thing blows my mind, i sent numerous messages on Kevin’s favourite communication tool telling him that his cronies were plunging us into a relegation battle. Maynard warned us on here they were making an error with Shitenrighter thinking long term rather than short. I’m not defending anyone but like was mentioned on the Hogg chat. Careful what you wish for, things could easily be worse.

Plenty of 'unattractive' clubs (in your eyes) have been bought, invested in, and succeeded. I mean, who on earth predicted this Wrexham story? An anomaly of course; but don't keep telling yourself that nobody would be interested in a club like ours, because it's nonsense.

Every single club i can think of with large investment there is a clear motive. Usually a fan of the club (i’m not aware that Reece Dinsdale has billions or any other fan) But Wrexham, genius by the 2 chaps to see what their celebrity could bring. Stockport, a club in its knees someone saw could easily achieve a few promotions. Fulham back in the day in Division 4 what an opportunity. Man city, an opportunity to win everything in sight. Birmingham HUGH potential to almost build an entire area. I love Huddersfield Town but why anyone else would i want to get involved is beyond me. We own nothing, the surrounding area is on its arse and a tiny loyal fanbase who couldn’t half fill its small stadium in the Premier League if we charged the going rate for Premier League tickets.

If you believe this, and your examples are baffling (have you seen the environment that Stockport/Wrexham are in? Birmingham have failed, largely, for decades). There is absolutely NO REASON WHATSOEVER why OUR CLUB cannot be better. To say we couldn't sell tickets in the Premier League is utter nonsense. The success of 2016-2018 lifted so many people, many of who didn't attend a game. I passionately will ALWAYS believe that our club has potential. It just needs someone with the vision, plan and investment to realise it.

Its all gone very quiet since the end of the transfer window from KN and I don't recall seeing his sidekick posting on here since then too. Maybe they've decided they've done / are doing their bit off the field, its down to the football to look after the football now. I’m here and reading every day, but yeah- that last part (still working on off the field for my part) In reading the views there is one message that I hope jumps out, above the anger, frustration, ranting - we all want to things to be better. The fans want something to get behind, support and enjoy. As it stands that isn't, consistently, happening.

If Kevin stays for the long haul you are right why can’t we aim high but it feels like a once in a lifetime opportunity to me and yet the one man giving me hope is getting dogs abuse 😂 with good reason might i add. Where me and the original poster differ is if this American adventure ends in the future 7th or whatever we are in this league could look very appealing.

Needs to seriously think about hopping on the plane after tomorrows Sacramento game & get over for Brum/Barnsley matches to try influence some reaction.......Staring at two more defeats currently, if he wants promotion that badly (don't we all) then he needs to try stop the rot, its his call!

Pipes up with a 'not acceptable' post after our piss pot trophy defeat with a load of young debutants, we've lost 3 on the bounce in the league and not a peep?
Is he coming over anytime soon because the club is sinking fast and the people he's employed to run the club are not fit for purpose.

Until the Richmond era, 10k was considered a huge crowd and their ground was 4th division standard and in some ways still is. It was rebuilt completely without infrastructure and is a ball and chain when it comes to investment..

Doesn't matter how much money you have, what matters is whether thr club is run well or poorly and for years we've been the latter.
Nagle has run the club badly and we have been relegated. As long as he continues to do run things badly, we'll struggle. If he runs the club OK we may scrape up through the play offs at some point.
If he somehow manages to do a complete U-turn and starts running is with a level of competency, Championship guaranteed and an outside chance of the playoffs to the Premier League await.

Horrendous 12 months under Nagle. A complete mess from top to bottom.
The sooner we have an owner who actually understands how to run a professional English football team the better. The fans deserve better the club has been pathetic for years and there’s no sign of it changing.

Let's do a root cause analysis because it's easy to say x is shit or y is shit but unless you actually know the facts then it's all hyperbole

Root analysis is we signed a number of players who lack both motivation and graft and a striker who doesn't score goals, it's not rocket science. The fact is living in the real world is not hyperbole and x, y and z mean sod all when a club is in terminal decline. I hope Nagle is the kind of guy who will act fast to arrest what is looking like yet another relegation battle.

You could add to that we spent nowhere near what was required to keep us competitive in the Championship in the summer of 2023 nor brought in the right players in January to keep us up. This lies at Cartwright’s door and Nagle appointed him. The bad decision making goes right to the top.

I’d hardly class it as scandalous. If Birmingham win their game in hand, and beat us, they will be thirteen points ahead of us at the beginning of November. That is not "scandalous" but it's bloody disappointing and worthy of comment.

Wish people would stop going on about other teams games in hand so we can drop further. It isn't the final week of the season, the games in hand aren't this midweek, so those sorts of comments are nonsense and pointless, because by the time those games in hand come around, the table will look different to how it does now.
It's not the final week of the season. If it was, fair enough, but it isn't, so the games in hand nonsense peddled by some (including saying we can drop further places because of them) is, to put it simply, totally irrelevant.
Nobody even has a game in hand scheduled until the back end of October, and even then it's currently only 3 games, and there's an international break to come which will mean most teams having games postponed (likely including us)
