I might be doing the bloke a disservice here as I’ve only watched bits and fast forwarded through. He comes across as sure of himself, likes to name drop a bit as well. Stoke-alona… 😂 Strikes me as a bit of a bullshitter really, but guess others a bit closer to the club will know for sure. I still don’t get his track record though. Did we announce this bloke as being a bit of a coup when we hired him? I don't think anyone thought it was a coup. He'd been working in America for years advising new USL clubs and was a mate of Edwards. My feelings were no relevant recent experience, working in America in a weak league presumably because he couldn't find a decent job in UK and was hired because he's English, a mate of Edwards, from the North and used to be a DoF ten years ago at Stoke. Hardly a coup. The appointment of him and Edwards seemed a bit naive and has proven to be so. Seems he used to be an agent and signed a lot of expensive players for Stoke with some success. Appointed Mark Hughes which in itself was a red flag. There's a lot more to the job than signing players as he no doubt mentions in his video. I just think his judgement on just about everything has been terrible. I also wonder whether he's part of the reason Warnock left and perhaps some others. Maynard doesn't seem to be a fan.

The man is in my view responsible for the cliff edge HTFC finds itself on . If there’s an opposite to the midas effect then Cartwright has brought it to Town. He’s got some front on him though to be fair , taking all this stick on the chin , getting in the cavalier of a morning and reversing into the DOF space at canal side . Another expensive mistake Kev’s made . Would like to know on who’s advice he got the job

He was in the US for less than two years. After Stoke he was recruited by the FA on a fixed two year contract and before the US worked briefly as an agent again. He was Technical Director at Stoke for seven years, mainly with Hughes as manager, during which they had three successive top half finishes in the PL, the best spell in the club’s history. Obviously, he would have been involved in discussions about hiring and firing managers but the decisions will be made by the owner, as they are here.

He says in the actual video, that Moore's appointment was down to him . Therefore you would asume the sacking/ appointment of Andre would have being also ?

To be fair I didn’t realise how much work goes in to ruining a football club within the space of 12 months. Even though it's not entirely his fault (notwithstanding his incompetence) and this season is a culmination of the shitshow since the PL, this post made me laugh

Cartwrights going nowhere. Already bringing his mates in for next season. If this chancer is still in a job next season after the mess he's made of this we are in massive massive bother. He should be the first one out the door come next weekend. That simple.

Cartwrights going nowhere. Already bringing his mates in for next season. If we have another season like this one, with his performance, the place will be toxic. No doubts. I guess we need to wait and see what happens first; got to hope Kev thoroughly reviews what’s gone wrong and makes the change in that role as Swiss Toni has failed us all badly. The smug look on his face makes me want to smash a shovel over it.

Years of poor management has put us where we are. Hiring Moore turned out to be a poor choice but I don't think his previous jobs showed any red flags, damn poor timing for a club struggling like we are though. The problems I have with recruitment is we seem to have brought in several players who were not fit enough and have struggled to get fit. AB has hinted heavily that our two new strikers are not fit to play whole games, and them both coming off injured after starting against Wednesday probably supports that. Also Wiles has struggled as has Balker. Is this Cartwright or the medical team? I think it has certainly cost us points.

Remind me - how did Cartwright get the gig in the 1st place ? was he a Dave Baldwin recommendation - or did Kevin come up with him cos of his previous US experience ?
Is it a problem for Kevin to come up with a Cartwright replacement who has sound UK knowledge and experience ? does he use Baldwin again ?

The problem with replacing MC is have we left it too late for this summer’s transfer window? I would have thought you needed to replace him in January/ February to give the new man time to get the infrastructure in place for a successful summer. I have a sinking feeling that we have to stick with him and hope for the best. Not ideal tbh.

Cartwrights going nowhere. Already bringing his mates in for next season. KN's first season has not gone well and we understand that he is a responsible for the club, but not the day to day running of it. He has put in people in place to manage us and the direction in which we are heading. We need to see a change in direction the club is taken, starting with someone in place who is a lot more capable than the people who are presently in charge. We can have Supporter days every month with lots of free prizes but I will not be watching next season if Cartwright is still at the club.

As DoF Cartwright inherited a poor squad, arrived with insufficient time (and a lack of power over Warnock) to oversee the summer business. That being said, his appointment of Moore and the generally poor standard of business in January leaves me with little doubt that his position is untenable.
I simply have no faith that his decisions will improve the playing squad. I’d also be worried if he was responsible for overseeing our recruitment this summer ahead of what we all hope will be a quick bounce back to the Championship next season.
