Other than Mooy and maybe Billing I’ve not seen a town player in recent memory with more time in a congested midfield than Camara, albeit he was in the team briefly. If he panicked then god knows how you must assess most midfielders we have.
If anything he was a bit too languid at times, completely the opposite of panic.

Will be interesting to see how he gets on at Watford, assuming the rumours are true.

He was very composed on the ball, but sometimes too composed. That's his age and relative inexperience. Of course, there was then the contract issue which seemed to have a bit of an impact on his temperament and performance. Lots of potential there.

Anyone any idea of who the surprise foreign capture may be?
I have a random name I'm gonna throw out. It's completely random though, so don't quote me.
Teenage Hadebe.
Left Footed Centre Back
Zimbabwe International
28 years of Age
Contract with MSL side Huston Dynamo coming to an end at the end of this month.
With him being in the MSL, Cartwright will be fully aware of him as will Edwards. And they'll know his contract is up at the end of December, so a free agent. We don't have any left footed Centre Backs
He played in Turkey for 2 seasons before the MSL and in his first season was in the Super Lig Team of the Season and played in Europa League with Yeni Malatyaspor
It's just a random name, but the fact he's played in the MSL, is available on a free and is a left footed CB got me wondering.
Any other random names or ITK suggestions?

It was in the same report by Alan Nixon regarding Diarra.
Think someone posted it on Page 5 of this thread

Presume you weren't at Wigan away when he had no idea what to do with the ba and gave the ball away numerous times in our own defensive 3rd. Happened an awful lot. As I stated, clear talent there, but was exposed to 1st team football in the wrong situation for a young player.

O’Brien was more about energy and taking people on. He often got fouled as well, whereas camara generally shifted it before his man got to him, sometimes beating them with a feint. O’Brien much the better player for us but Camara has more potential. Midfielders with time on the ball, you’re talking playmakers with composure that see a picture and pick a pass. O’Brien doesn’t really have that.

Who in their right minds would want to come to a club that's stinking out the division with ultra negative tactics? We're getting a big reputation as an anti-football club.

We need a really decent window, here are some names that I'd been thinking about lately. Not all of them, of course, just some suggestions. ForwardsAli Al-Hamadi from Wimbledon. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ali-al-hamadi/profil/spieler/61058123 appearances in all competitions this season, 13 goals & 6 assists. Macaulay Langstaff from Notts County. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/macaulay-langstaff/profil/spieler/52634724 appearances in all competitions this season, 15 goals & 3 assists. Bojan Miovski from Aberdeen. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bojan-miovski/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/476219/plus/0?saison=2023&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id= 25 appearances in all competitions this season (including conference league) 12 goals & 3 assists. Cauley Woodrow from Luton. Struggled for game time this season, and wasn't prolific last, but an experienced head at this level and would offer us something different. Wingers/wide forwardsCorey Blackett-Taylor from Charlton. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/corey-blackett-taylor/profil/spieler/28282 22 appearances in all competitions this season, 7 goals & 7 assists. Kwame Poku (might be too expensive) from Peterborough. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kwame-poku/profil/spieler/701062 26 appearances in all competitions this season 8 goals & 8 assists. Jesurun Rak-Sakyi (on loan) from Crystal Palace. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jesurun-rak-sakyi/profil/spieler/586834 Was excellent at Charlton on loan last season, played a handful of minutes in the Premier League this season. Central Midfielders Luca Kerber from 1. FC Saarbrücken. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/luca-kerber/profil/spieler/809498 Already experienced in central midfield at just 21 years old (albeit in 3. Liga) over here. Plays fairly deep, but is a playmaker. Someone to dictate the tempo. I've only seen him play 3 times (on TV) though. Luca Connell from Barnsley. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/luca-connell/profil/spieler/580027 A big part of their playoff team from last season, recording 8 assists in League 1. Again, plays fairly deep and is an excellent passer. Was injured for most of this season so far. Jari Schuurman from FC Dordrecht. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jari-schuurman/profil/spieler/264857 8 assists in the Dutch second flight last season, already got 9 this. Like the other two, occupies the same deep spaces as a defensive midfielder, but offers a whole lot more on the ball. Read about him first during the summer window - was linked with Volendam as a replacement for Carel Eiting when he joined FC Twente late on in the window.

Wouldn't it be nice to be organised and have our act together so that we have the 3 or 4 first team players we need through the door before we play Plymouth on January 13th?

Absolutely no reason why we shouldn't have players through the door 1st January. They've had months (Years actually) to identify the players that first 11 and squad are missing. The search shouldn't begin in december and hope to get a few over the line in January - they should be ready to join 1st Jan and fulfil the fixtures in Jan. People are being paid very well to do this job.

Not a clue why I put this in the Millwall match thread.
A name I have heard today from someone is Damion Downes.
Not a clue about him and how good/bad he is and never heard of him. Apparently a big striker only 19 and it would be a loan with option to buy.
He is German/American.

Interesting go to watch köln quite abit in fact I’m going 12th of Jan to catch a game, having a pretty shite season again and looks like he’s just started to make some appearances, Mate of mine follows it very closely so I’ll pick his brains. Edit… ask him, says they’ve been proper shite this year especially up top and have only scored 10 goals all season so the fact he’s struggling to make there bench probably says a lot about him 😂
