You’re right actually. I mean, just look at all the clubs who’ve identified that point and are throwing jobs at Fotheringham Tell me what you have seen from Moore that is better than Fotheringham? He doesn’t stand outside during halftime watching the subs warm up instead of giving a halftime team talk?

Not much TBH. The only think I can see that's hugely different so far is that he's not yet publicly berated his Japanese left sided centre back! I've never played the game at anything like a reasonable level but it seemed clear to me after 5 games that Buzz was not someone who you'd run through a brick wall for. That is not (yet) the case with our current manager. Don't get me wrong - I've not been impressed by Moore at all. On balance I think he's more likely to fail here than succeed. The nature of the heavy defeats, the failure to lay a glove on the worst side in the division and even the unconvincing nature of the win at home to a side in freefall paint a worrying picture. BUT (and this is a big but) there are mitigating circumstances that lead me to think it's too early to write him off. That's the key difference IMO.

In fairness to Buzz, having listened to him speak, getting out of the dressing room at half time was probably a good idea.

I’ve said it. I’m not impressed with Moore one bit. Again you’re reading into the wrong point I think DM was an underwhelming appointment and I’m not massively surprised that the results are going as they are. Partly cause of him but also mainly because of our squad which is thinning by the week. That being said I’m not going out of my way to make a huge deal about and belittle what is a pretty decent track record for any manager. Do you think Fotheringham will manage again, even at League 1 level? I reckon plenty of League 1 teams would employ DM even if he failed here. Let’s not forget Fotheringham took over a team that finished 3rd in the league and play off runner up less than 10 games prior to being appointed if we want to look at tenuous stats. Having taken over from another complete novice he had a great opportunity to spark a positive reaction out of the players. DM had to take over from a hero who was unexpectedly removed from his post months earlier than we all expected.

Is it uncalled for though? Moore took over a squad that had just got its confidence back. The last 2 performances, and Birmingham were worse than any under MF. Fotheringham took over a squad that was rock bottom with confidence. He was the 3rd manager in around 12 weeks. Yet if Moore fails to win today, he has a worse record. Why can't that be compared? You’re right actually. I mean, just look at all the clubs who’ve identified that point and are throwing jobs at Fotheringham Only one was daft enough to get rid of their manager so they could get Moore

Hope so. Imagine a few months ago viewing the return of Josh Ruffels from injury as a major boost. Similar to Turton who has turned into Kyle walker Compared to Edwards, he is 😁

I mean promotion from league 1 off the top of my head.He may ultimately be not up to it,he may also be not up to it with this sqaud.Or with a few players back such as mentioned earlier(ward, ruffels, kasumu,Koroma…rudoni further down the line)yes I’m not suggesting they are world beaters but they are all capable in a team of making us more competitive. It’s just so early to make such a massively over the top(in my opinion) judgement. We could literally get 3 points today and 50% of the fan base will change their tune somewhat. He got promotion when he should have won the championship in the first season with the squad he had... certainly the second. Playoffs were an underachievement and was due to be sacked until a miracle comeback and last minute winners.... with the squad he should have been dead certs for the playoffs and had 3 relatively easy games. Sheffield Wednesday must have lost a lot of their best players then, because I wouldn't expect the side they have now to piss League 1 at all. Also, Barnsley had some very decent players for that level.

Darren Moore is for some reason not being called to task the same as Fotheringham or Schofield were.
I tell you what though, Schofield or Fotheringham would not have presided over that debacle at Elland road last week.

Wow that side other than defence is unreal

Playoffs were an underachievement and was due to be sacked until a miracle comeback and last minute winners.... with the squad he should have been dead certs for the playoffs and had 3 relatively easy games. 3 points today buys some time, a 0-0 with the team probably gives him a few % points favour.. What I'm expecting is another performance of been outclassed but also tactically inept performance.... which is the real reason he's getting pelters.. nothing to do with the quality of the squad, the injuries etc. ITS HIS INABILITY TO SHOW ANY KIND OF STYLE OF GAMEPLAN. INABILITY TO CHANGE IN GAME, INABILITY TO COMMUNICATE AND A DISREGARD OF 3000 DIEHARD FANS THAT WENT TO LEEDS KNOWING WE WOULD LOSE BUT FOLDED LIKE A HOUSE OF CARDS. The pressers are pressers and how someone comes across in them isn’t necessarily how they may come across to the players. Yes iv stopped watching them because they are boring but I’d put little stock in what you see in them having any relevance to how he coaches the squad. Promotion whether it should be attained or not is still an achievement and like someone else has said no playoff games are easy.Altbough I take your point that maybe he should have got them promoted automatically,I don’t know all the ins and outs though so that’s from outside looking in. I think he has a game plan and a style in which he wants to play though I aren’t sure, especially with the current injury woes, that this group can play it effectively. That would be my personal main gripe with him, that and why we all of a sudden can’t defend set pieces ,myself I would have kept it the same until Christmas. That said if you do that and then change it all after that does that give off more of an impression that you aren’t really sure what you want to do,you could argue that both ways. I’m also not saying I think you are/or will be wrong think what I’m mainly getting at is that been so 100% against him and sure that he’s a fraud or useless for me would be impossible based on 7 games. There are worrying aspects yes but they may be ironed out over time, myself I’m willing to wait and see and not be so two footed on the matter. The folding like a house of cards I’m sorry but for me that’s mostly on the players, sticking your leg out to block a shot(first goal against leeds) or putting your head in at set pieces(2 goals vs Cardiff) is down an individual. Like I say I take some of your points and in time you maybe 100% correct just for me it’s way too early for that level of judgement. Is there any positives in his defence? I'm happy to hear them? The one I had was he's a nice bloke and may unite the club... but then he walked off the field with no acknowledgement of the crowd.. quick hands up and a clap is all it needed. I wouldn't expect him to stand and take the vitriol for long.... but that for me says its insincere and it comes across as such in each interview. We have a B team and name 6 on the bench.... getting the excuses cued up early. What's the point of a B team if you don't select them. Poor form from Moore.

We coouldn't compare Corberan to Powell then? Or Wagner to Wadsworth? Because at their time with us, Wagner and Corberan had nowhere near 250 games. Fortheringhan was shite, we all know that. But Moore hasn't shown me anything that means he will do better. If anything, we look worse now than we did with Buzz.

Just because one has over 250 games means nothing. As I stated, Wagner and Corberan barely had any games, yet they will be compared to Moore. You also didn't answer the question of what have you seen better from Moore than MF?

I have compared over a career rather than 7 games. Again I can’t say I have seen much more from DM yet. Why have you got time to waste getting so worried about it? We’ve disagreed and I won’t be changing my opinion. I can live with that. Can you? Enjoy the game

Do we know how long each of the players are out for? At least Hogg will be back for next week.
Turton was originally meant to be back for November wasn’t he?

Can't see the injury situation improving too much if he continues to run players into the ground. It’s their job, a well paid job I might add, to be run in to the ground. This myth of pandering to players and resting them, they are supposed to be professional athletes. They get enough breaks in this division to play every minute of every game.

The other problem with these injuries is that those that come are hardly going to be match fit. We can’t ease them back in - they have to start. All comes back to the small squad.
Did Wiles play any better on Saturday ?

Did Wiles play any better on Saturday ? Thought he was a bit better didn't look as 'lost' as previous matches. Poor shot attempt due to a bad first touch.
