Someone will be more learned than myself on this one, but I think… 🤔 Burgzorg - hopefully not a long term problem. Ward - really not sure with this one? Turton - will we see him this season? Hogg - as per Burgzorg? Ruffels? Headley - as per Burgzorg? Pearson? Maxwell? Ben Jackson? Pat Jones? There’s almost a full XI there who wouldn’t look out of place in our starting XI. I know it’s not the quality we’d wish for, but there are probably more I’ve missed and which would reinforce the point that we’ve been pretty unlucky this season with injuries. Burgzorg-out for around 4 weeks Turton-slim chance we seem before season ends Hogg-will be back next game Headley- is alright for next game Pearson- out for another month Jackson-should be back for next game or two Ward pulled a heart muscle a long time ago, but that’s about as much oxygen as I want to give his injury.

Is it just bad luck we're having all these injuries or down to the state of the squad, training methods, medical staff, the fact we're usually chasing shadows in games. I've no idea, I'm not an expert ...another question for the DoF because obviously its something that needs resolving....yet another issue that could easily contribute to relegation along with the choice of coach, weak squad, poor transfer dealings and dubious decision making. Another question for Kevin to ask I guess although I'm not sure who he'd be best off asking. Feels like these injuries are just another issue contributing to a perfect storm.

Ignore the above injury news it is not correct more like below subject to expected recovery and no setbacks. full squad list Lee Nicholls - avaialble Chris Maxwell - expected to be 2-3weeks Chapman - available REG - avaialble Ruffles - hoping to be back on the grass in next week or so and then build up to a first team return Pearson - should be avaialble again in January hopefully Plymouth game but may come just to soon Helik - available Headley - hopefully just a kick but will be looked at further today / tomorrow edwards - doubt we will see him again Spencer - might be recalled Turton - Ollie wont be rushed but there is a chance of seeing him in January Jackson - bad virus, but he should be back in full training this week Lees - available Nakayama - missing until end of Asia cup. Hogg - should be training again this week Rudoni - available Koroma - available but does need surgery on a hernia at some point Diarra - available unless sold Sorba - avaialble but I would rest against Man city Kasumu - avaialble Wiles - avaialble Pat Jones - doubt we will see him in January Austerfield - avaialble Del - hopefully not too bad chance he will be back for Plymouth Harratt - end of January at the earliest Ward - hopeful of a retunr in Jan but could easily have a bigger set back with this injury. Rhodes - Maybe recalled Hudlin - available Ayina - available Thats 13 players who have played first team football who have no injury or illness at this time, hopefully 3 or 4 more will be added to this list during this week so we at least have a squad to travel with to Man City, lots of players targeting a return around the Plymouth game and maybe a new signing or two avaialble also.

It’s purely down to the lack of depth to the squad and lack of quality within it due to years of Hoylesterity and the atrocious summer business by the current lot.

I hope you are right about the injuries, but I think it's pushing it a bit to say we have 13 fit players etc. Whilst Chapman, Ayina, Hudlin, & Austerfield have played for the first team, they're not Championship standard and are only playing because there's no one else. You can even add REG and Diarra to that list. So, it's really 7 fit players who are good enough (at present) to play for the first team. As regards a team for Man City, I wouldn't play any of those 7 (possibly with the exception of Nichols). You're right that Sorba needs a rest but so do the others, big time. I also wouldn't play any of the returning injured players, unless it's a limited appearance to aid their recovery plan. Let's face it, we're going to lose whoever plays and it would be lunacy to risk any more injuries. That said, I don't know who they are going to play, think there's only the under 17s left!

Worryingly the decision to bring off the new CB with time to spare maybe tells us that Helik will be out for a while so we need to protect what we have?

Or if you're a glass half full type person it maybe told us we'd won the game and we've 2 very capable centre backs on the pitch who could comfortably see us through the last 20 minutes with a 4 goal lead. Edit - no surprise Pearson was cupping his ear to the Kilner when he scored a few days after people were writing him off on here?

From what I saw Balker had been stretching and not moving great for a few minutes before being subbed....declined to go up for a corner just before. Just the chance to take him off to avoid any further problem

I’m not saying throw the game, well i sort of am, but i wouldn’t risk players next Saturday.
Anyone who is 50/50 or even 80/20. Give them the time off. 2 much bigger winnable games after that.

Can never understand this attitude and never will. I would have sacked Corberan immediately when he did it against Middlesbrough and Norwich resulting in 5-0 and 7-0 defeats. Anyone who does that doesn't understand fans and what it means to them, let alone those who spend hundreds of pounds travelling up and down the country to watch their team. Southampton could easily score 4 or 5 against a full strength Town, God knows what it could be if we rest players.

Scoring a goal against Sheffield Wednesday doesn’t make him suddenly a world beater. I’m a critic but can say he played well yesterday. I still don’t want him starting when we have our defenders back fit though. Love his attitude though and he’s a good character.

Healey looked like he tweaked his groin early on and tried to play through it only to make it worse. Could be a few weeks that one rather than days

I certainly hadn't missed him pumping it down the line with no appreciation of how hard to hit it. He must have zero feeling his feet

I’m 50/50 about going Saturday as it’s one of very few grounds i’ve not been to and due to the managerial situation don’t think anyone will be rested. In our league position you highlight games that are more important than others. When Man City were scoring 6 every week the relegation threatened teams were resting players and wasting time regardless of the score purely trying to protect goal difference. Saturday just feels like a game i’d be delighted if it was postponed till a time we had more players available.

Scandalous even to think about throwing a game, every game is winnable unless you have that defeatist attitude.

Not Town related but injury related. Sky have got a 5 part documentary following the recoveries of Beth Mead and Vivienne Miedema from their ACL ruptures. It's very good.

I thought he did it when he made a challenge on their defender as he cleared.Seemed to come away limping.carried on but forced off, looked an unlucky one if it was that instance.not sure if that was before or after the clearance from memory to be honest.

Any news on when Burzorg will be fit ? In the Access all areas video he is filmed saying ‘trust the process’ (sounds familiar 😉) and he says Del will be back soon, so maybe hopeful?
