We need a fleet of buses.....The usual one won't be enough against City Academy team.

Away to holders!! Couldn't be any worse really 10-1 again !! Beat me to it. Was just about to say I was only 5 for the 10-1 at Maine Road so might make up for it by being there when we surpass it 🙈

That could possibly skew the January transfer window. We will now need to go out and get some more centre halves bought. 10 and a keeper will probably be DMs preferred formation for that one.

Given our recent propensity for weakening our FA cup teams, the 10-1 is definitely in peril, unless Citeh play their U15s or ladies team. Pep will probably make all his players put their boots on the wrong foot just to make it slightly more difficult.

Taking into account City's dodgy finances we have already won when it comes to morality and fairness.

Aside of the fact this is probably the end of the road for us (stranger things have happened), this will be a nice diversion for some of our players. I’m sure they’ll be relishing the opportunity.
Such a shame we can’t go back to the one sub per team rule for this game, they’ll have a bench that will be worth ten, maybe twenty or thirty times the value of our entire squad…
The PL, trickling down fuckall since 1992…

It could be a good day. Hopefully they lower ticket prices and give us unlimited tickets. We lose in the third round every year anyway, may as well be to the best team in the world.

At least we'll make some money from it, unlike the usual routine of lose against someone like Reading or Charlton and make no money from it.
Very small chance it gets picked for TV. If we were the home team it almost certainly would have been picked

More seriously. As in, sticking a couple of youngsters and fringe players in rather than the wholesale changes we've seen in the last few years. So, perhaps Ayina plays, but the rest of the defence is as it would be for a league game. Diarra starts, but otherwise the midfield is as you were... etc. Yeah I wasn’t being funny, just difficult to take the cup serious unless you are playing your strongest available 11. Ive no interest in the cup nowadays. I’ll still go, home or away, but have no strong feelings if we win, lose, draw. Of course I want us to do well in every game but league trumps cup by a long way. If we were just having a boring, mid table season, which we never do, then it would be great for a cup run. But our focus has to be staying up, no matter what. Staying up? Absolutely! I suppose my point is that if you're not going to use your strongest side, then use the game as usefully as you can. It's still potentially a good way to start integrating youth players into the side, but if you effectively throw the tie then they're only getting one game. Plus I would suggest that the likes of Ayina or Spencer would have learned more by playing alongside Helik or Pearson than they would learn from each other. Still, kind of a moot point now, given who we've got.

KN will probably come over with an entourage for this one...reckon it'll be on TV anyway as Citeh are cup holders and we are the minnows... could be x-rated ...but who knows if we keep our improving form (results) going for next few weeks we might keep them to 5...

Having been at Maine Road in 1987 there is a masochistic part of me that thinks I might go just in case they repeat or better the double figure feat and I can wear a double badge of humiliation.
