Staying out of the bottom 3 because other teams are losing is not a reason to keep Moore. That quite frankly is a ridiculous reason.

Taking the, quite understandable, emotion out of the debate for a second the key question right now must be this;
Have we seen enough from DM in a purely footballing sense that we think he can improve this team if we are able to attract better/different players?
If there is any doubt at all then a change needs to be made. It really is as straightforward as that.
For me, we aren't seeing anywhere near enough to provide any level of confidence that he has the tactical nous or motivational qualities to make us better on the pitch.
That said I think the only way anything changes at the moment is if we take another poor defeat at home. Otherwise I think those in charge will continue, for reasons I can't fathom, and stick with their decision.
It is absolutely true we have a weak squad but NW proved better than what we are seeing, and it's a low bar, was possible. DM isn't getting anywhere near anything remotely encouraging, let alone defendable.
This situation has been years in the making. Mr Nagle can only be responsible for the decisions taken on his watch. However as a fanbase we have had to suffer a significant series of poor choices. We have been dodging the League One bullet for 4 of the last 5 seasons (the outlier was a disgraceful opportunity to make the club better hopelessly squandered) and the law of diminishing returns says we are going to get hit sooner or later (if things don't fundamentally change). As I say Mr Nagle only carries the can since July, but that can is getting full of more questionable choices since then. Fail to retain our Championship status and Mr Nagle is just an extension of those who also failed to take the opportunity to make our club substantially better.
I've said before that this is a time, not in January right now, for leadership and some real intent. Or at least some semblance of actions that demonstrate a desire to improve our club. Right now being realistic and recognising that there is an issue on the pitch would be a good start to give people confidence that we could hope for better in the future.
DM isn't, in my view, up to this job in anyway and a change needs to be made.
Merry Christmas to all.

I say he needs sacking I just don't think our owner will do it because its going to make him and his Directors look pillocks. Its up to him at the end of the day he either wants a competitive championship club or,one that will be plying it's trade in the 3rd tier of English football because that exactly were all this is going to end up unfortunately. I would say it makes him look more of a pillock than not sacking him. Bring in a continental manager bring in a new philosophy and playing style and herald a new era. This absolutely has to change.

We will get to 2 wins in 78 matches whilst we languish in league 2 if we keep this idiot.
I have followed Town since the 70’s. Moore is the worst by some distance. Useless.

I don’t like sacking people for the sake of it, in his defence what can you do with no strikers, and having to play Hudlin, in my time watching Town, 60 years, I’m struggling with anyone worse, I’m now having a mini Sagres in a dark room. Sacking someone for the sake of it? He’s worth keeping according to you because…. He’s been dealt a bad hand… It’s sacking someone for the sake of it, if there is nobody else , in our range, who could materially change the situation . I’ve not put any thought into it , though I did originally vote for Liam Richardson. Anyway it’s not my decision and not my money, 4 coaches/ managers in 15 months isn’t a good look, 5 if you include Corberan. I’m sure there will be discussions in the next 24 hours .

Nagle is still getting used to English football, he holds no blame yet for me. Edwards knows the sport, Cartwright has no excuses at all. If Moore goes, Cartwright should too, but we know how these thing pan out - Moore will be the fall guy, the shield for those who made a poor decision. They’ll be then free to make another poor decision potentially. I really wanted and still want Moore’s appointment to work, but increasingly it looks like it won’t.

He will say he doesn’t have the players. I say he is a clueless. If Nagle doesn’t sort this out quickly we are only heading one way. Shambles. Are you still blackmailing KN with the threat of publishing his messages if DM isn’t sacked? No wonder he’s doesn’t reply. Goes out of his way to communicate with a ranty fan. Ranty fan makes threats to publish private messages.

Our lass would have picked a better ‘manager’ and full back.

UTT I don’t disagree with anything you are saying but the recent statement from Kevin is a sign of leadership and a statement to say the on pitch offering is unacceptable. I have zero faith that Moore is the right man for us but sacking him now to make a statement may be shortsighted if we don’t have a replacement lined up and might actually be detrimental. I don’t think he will ever turn things around and hate a toxic feel around the club. I hope that we are in talks with someone like Eustace or Mowbray and can end the current experiment with a solution already in hand.

There has been absolutely nothing from Moore to suggest he’s up to the job. performances and players are declining under his watch; throw in his awful tactics and it’s an inevitable outcome. If we didn’t make a change last year then we’d have been down and the same goes for this season. Yes, we might employ another duffer but we have to roll the dice as it actually can’t get any worse than this, we are heading down.

Do you think the Director of Football should go whenever a Coach/ Manager they appoint gets sacked, surely if that’s the case nobody would be making appointments. I haven’t counted but there must have been 6/8 sackings in the championship so far this season, as has been said previously the average tenure of a coach/ manager is approx 18 months, I always want whoever is a Town to succeed, but in the last 6 seasons I think we’ve had at least 8 . I do hope Moore works out although it’s starting to look difficult and to a large extent I do honestly feel he’s got the poison chalice, but the abuse levelled at him is beyond reason .How would you deal with Moore if you were the owner?

I think Kevin Nagle could do worse than appoint Dean Hoyle in some kind of advisor role, albeit I'm sure there is some sort of unofficial advice already in place.
Somebody who loves the club, understands the game and knows how to make the tough decisions. Given his own money isn't involved I think Dean could be a reasonable voice.

Interesting how Cartwright and Edwards are getting pelters but Nagle gets a free pass.
All three of them are culpable.
And if we don't get sufficient reinforcements in January, I think it'll be curtains for Nagle as well.
