I'd be interested to know if the players are bothered by his inability to string a coherent sentence together. I'm pretty certain it would diminish the respect I had compared to being managed by someone who just exudes confidence that they know what they're talking about.
I can't remember if it was Maynard or someone else who said not long after his arrival that a number of senior players weren't impressed by his primitive methods. I wonder if Kev has sought the opinions of Hogg, Lees, Nicholls etc to help with his decision on keeping him or not

I might buck the trend here….but I didn’t think, on the Moore scale, his post-match interview was too bad…..(tin hat on)

It’s utterly pointless. He could win the next 3 and his record would still be abysmal. Literally everyone wants him gone, even folk like me who wanted to give him a bit of time and knew the squad was in a poor state. He doesn’t even try anything different, he seems to think 532 is the only formation that’s ever existed even though we don’t have the players for it. Nice guy he might be but in terms of football he’s a complete buffoon. All I can say is the standard of L1 last season must have been horrific. Even to get to a 30% win rate which is OK (Carlos 37%, Warnock 39%), he'd have to win the next 6 in a row to make it 9 in 28. To match Fotheringham (23.8%) he needs to win the next 3 on the bounce. These things aren't going to happen. Why wait for a new man when his first games could be QPR and Sheff Wed which are winnable. Waiting just gives the new man a mountain to climb. Would love to see some stats on the last manager/how many managers have a win % this low after this many games. Can’t be many.

I’ve watched the extended highlights and to be fair, those couple of moves we put together to get ourselves clear in goal was stuff we’ve barely seen for a long time so was that the coaching or was it better players (or both) That being said I wasn’t there to witness the other 80 mins

Worst runs over 21 games.......at least in the 'post Hoyle' era where my data starts..... if you discount Wagner worst run as it was in Premier and Lee Clark as was in L1 you have Warnock as the best over 21 games and then Carols as worst.....but Moore not far behind...... Lee Clark - W 7 D 7 L 7 = 28 Points Neil Warnock - W 7 D 7 L 7 = 28 Points Danny Cowley - W 7 D 5 L 9 = 23 Points Simon Grayson - W 5 D 7 L 9 = 22 Points Mark Fotheringham - W 5 D 6 L 9 = 21 Points (although that was 20 games, not 21....) Chris Powell - W 3 D 11 L 7 = 20 Points Mark Robbins - W 5 D 4 L 12 = 19 Points Darren Moore - W 3 D 10 L 8 = 19 Points Carlos Corberan - W 3 D 7 L 11 = 16 Points David Wagner - W 2 D 5 L 14 = 11 Points

There's a simple thing that I like to use when predicting how good a manager will be, and that is to see how charismatic, clever and articulate the person is when interviewed.
It's amazing how often it is a good reflection of their success.

The ones who have a bit of something about them tend to be great managers too. Generally if they don't sound convincing then they aren't. Try it. Quite fun.

Only Jan Siewert, John Haselden and Danny Schofield have worse win percentages.
Even the likes of Malcolm Macdonald, Stan Ternent and Mark Fotheringham have a better win percentage.

It's maybe harsh and probably a wrong measure sometimes, but sometimes it just adds up to a strong gut feeling and this one has probably gone as expected.

The writing has been on the wall for a while now, and the club have left it too late.
I understand doing the decent thing and giving him a go, but it gets to a point where this is upper management’s neglect. And it shouldn’t be down to Nagle to come to that reasoning, he’s got two guys underneath him who should be holding their hands up to this.

Just because people aren’t storming the dug out and chasing him down Leeds Road to cooper bridge doesn’t mean they are “still backing him”.

There's never any unrest or anything, and too many people making excuses for him. He's had nowhere near as much vitriol as Siewert, Schofield and Fotheringham. The majority of the supporters are happy with him, as usual, it's a noisy minority that aren't happy.

I don’t agree mate. He’s had a chance to speak to a lot of people too. Yeah I’m sure Carmichael has fed back a lot on here also but I reckon he’s calling it based on what he sees and hears. No one asked him to say a 0-4 defeat to Norwich under Warnock wasn’t acceptable

Once you get to ‘must win the next game of you’re fired’ territory you might as well pull the trigger.
Decision has been made.
Ultimatums are garbage - he wins against QPR then loses the next game - then what?
It’s weak leadership if you let things drag on - for whatever reason.

The thing with the 10 draws is I’ve not come out of many of them at all, maybe one or two, where I’ve thought we deserved to win it or were unlucky. We’ve just been shit

We’ve just been shit In my opinion we've only robbed a point once and that was at Millwall. We've generally had a good half (Saints, Cov, Ipswich) or its been pretty even between 2 shit teams. I think the common theme in all of those games though is an inability to change things or turn the screw. You can argue we haven't had the bench to do so but even a change in shape seems too much to ask. The last 2 games have demonstrated that perfectly. He hasn't got the tactical knowhow to change a match.

I would argue that with the current ownership more than any previous ownership, that is not the case. He's not at the majority of games. He reads Twitter and fan forums. He knows the fans opinions of the manager because of social media - a few chants at a game won't make a blind bit of difference.

Of all the managers in our history to have taken charge of at least 20 league games, Moore has the worst win rate (14.3%, 3 from 21 games). Even Fotheringham managed to win 25% of his league games (5 from 20).
Moore W3 D10 L8 (19 points from 21 games) Fotheringham W5 D6 L9 (21 points from 20 games).
Next week should be irrelevant, he's not shown anything to make me believe he is the right manager to keep us up.

The thing is… he clearly isn’t up to it, he will never win over the majority of the fan base now.
That doesn’t change even if he miraculously beats QPR.
He can’t say he hasn’t been given time, not many would last this long with his record.
He should be sacked now and replaced with someone to give us a fighting chance of staying up. I believe we do pretty much have a squad capable of that now. A central midfielder to dictate play to sit alongside Matos with Hogg used more sparingly would be great.
Play four at the back (Headley/Jackon Helik Balker Spencer) and get Radulovic up front with Healey with Thomas and Rudoni providing the chances.
