Do we know that Darren Moore will do a shit job in the transfer market? Can a leopard change it’s spots 🤔 I would suggest he doesn't have any spots. This will (if he's still here by then) be his first transfer window here.

Jeez, as Kevin would say, most of you on here are very easily swayed. Has castlehill written that? What would you have preferred him to say, out of interest? Why does he feel the need to say anything, I'm not interested in what our overseas owner currently thinks. The reaction is like dogs waiting for a titbit thrown from the table. Results on the pitch speak more than a thousand words, the problem now being that we have a bit of a six pointer on Saturday and a busy Christmas schedule to negotiate with DM still in charge of the playing side.

This is not a good move, its a great way to create divides between managers / players / owners, we need togetherness, this approach allows the players to be negative towards the mangement team. This is not DMs fault this is a conbination of many things. - The manager needs to take some blame - The ownership and new management team also need to take some blame - The players, can they really also say they are giving 100% - The fans, we need to back them more - NW yes you will all hate this but he has to take some blame him and RR sorted all the transfers in / out during the summer. - Previous owners (DH and PH) for sure parts of what has gone before has not helped our current position. We need to however not focus on blame, but focus on positive ways to improve in all areas many small improvements can gain big changes. Lets be positive, we have an owner coming over in January with some money to strenthen the squad, we are in a far far better postion than this time last season not even currently in the religation zone ? Last season 21 games we had 19points (-8GD) and 6 points from safety, now we are after 21 games on 21points (-15gd) but out of the bottom 3 with two teams below us 8 points behind, we had NW last season to save us who is going to pull off that job at both Sheff Weds and Rotherham actually an even bigger job as 2 points worse off, we are so close to the 4 teams above us with Stoke, Milwall, Plymouth all dropping down fast. The football is awful to watch, I fully agree but if we keep in and around where we are with the odd win and draw until January and then strenthen we have a great chance of staying in this league which is objective number one. I'm sorry are you justifying this seasons atrocius points return by comparing it to last season when we stayed up? We were stone wall relegation certs until NW completely turned it around when he came in, the points on the board were appalling beforehand. It was descirbed as a miracle that NW was able to turn it around from such a horrific points return in those fixtures. NW statisically the most successful manager in the history of the divison. Do you really think DM is capable of anywhere close to that? We are a laughing stock for chopping NW when there's no money to spend. We are even more of a laughing stock for hiring a manager that got relegated from this league 18 months prior and sets us up as if we're at anfield each game. We're away an a Millwall side in worse form than us but i expect nothing other that a hammering. Preston are in poor form but dominated us too. This one always gets me, you want to back this up with anything concrete because I've not seen or heard anything that suggests we're a laughing stock because of these 2 ridiculous claims you make? There haven't been hordes of opposition fans on here taking the piss and that's usually a good barometer. Typical Town fans over reaction. I fear we could become one in early January should City put double figures past us in the cup which is a distinct possibility but until then get a grip.

Not in the slightest. Our toxicity only comes from what we see on and off the pitch. Not an iota of blame falls on the fans. I agree. The fans are not stupid and they know what they are seeing is rubbish. In my experience the fans will get behind the team and even if playing poorly if they are giving everything then they get backed. There comes a point when as a player and manager you have to acknowledge that you are not giving enough and as well payed professionals you have to accept the criticism. Darren has done very little to acknowledge the fans, never comes across to them after games or particularly acknowledge our support. Given a golden chance in his post match interview and instead spoke about himself.

You'd think KN already has a handle on the problems, surely he's speaking to his staff running the club on a regular basis? He's not on the moon, so I'm surprised he's saying he's basically coming over to find out what is going on. Also, assuming he has a handle on things why can't he sort it via zoom or something. Or is he saying he's coming just for the transfer window,to do what? It's all a bit Roy Rodgers riding into town tbh.. there's nothing here that he can't do from his desk in Sacramento...is there? I know he was coming anyway, and yes he's the owner and wants to see for himself but he could just as easily sack DM from the US . Think it's probably more feeling/breathing the club, the day to day, the people, the town over a period of time. So much needs change.. improvement of atmosphere, practice, professionalism, morale.. you cant get a feel for that without being there. If theres one thing he will be good at it will be managing/building a workforce/business... he's built huge businesses You probably get a bit of a facade over the phone/on short visits. If he’s wanting to get a feel for the place, then hopefully he’ll be stopping somewhere in Huddersfield and not traipsing back and forth to Leeds every day. He can sample the delights of Da Sandros, the Three Acres etc. and maybe get himself to Centros for some cheesy chips if we’ve a night game?

Great post from Mr Nagle: no ego, not defensive, no specifics so everything is apparently under review, another commitment to try improve things, no knee jerk reactionism or over-promising.
Call me easily pleased but I’m massively heartened.

Warnock was around during the summer window so he has to be partially responsible. I take issue is on the point of blaiming him for sorting out all of the transfers. If he was Cartwright should have been sacked for leaving it up to him and not watching what was going on. This just sounds like something that would only happen in some story book. What was Cartwright and co thinking? So laying all of it on Warnock sounds like a story Cartwright is letting slip to his mates & gulible fools.

He might be I cant confirm or deny this. Do you really think DM is capable of anywhere close to that? He doesnt need to be capable of what NW did, we are in a very different postion to last season, the table is different. If we were in SW or Rotherhams position then I would say we need a manager to perform a miracle like NW last season. We are a laughing stock for chopping NW when there's no money to spend. There is money to spend, and removing NW at the time was correct depsite the fact we would probably had more points on the board now if we did not do it, unfortunalty removing NW from the club at the time was and still is the correct move for both HTAFC and KN. We are even more of a laughing stock for hiring a manager that got relegated from this league 18 months prior and sets us up as if we're at anfield each game. DM has a good record before coming here, is well liked and well respected. We're away an a Millwall side in worse form than us but i expect nothing other that a hammering. I see us getting something very typical town to do so. Preston are in poor form but dominated us too. They did, they are currently a better team and we got it tactically wrong in the first half.

The only transfer I am aware that the contact came from MC was Burgzorg everything else was NW and RR including Edwards who I am told RR really wanted. Unfortunalty the club had other players late in the window suggested by MC and these where not wanted by the management team. Mark's first real window with us is January and I am sure he talking to all of the best agents in the game trying to sort some top deals out for HTAFC, well maybe not all of the agents ;-)

Why appoint Cartwright and then deligate everything somewhere else. Would you take on a new position and then leave some one else to do it for you and think that you can shrug your shoulders and say he did it? After they messed it up do you think that you would still be in that job.

Kevin, good words, but he needs to learn from his mistakes quickly. Its traditionally very hard to pick up decent players in January. The most decisive improvement he can make is to remove Moore and find a new inspiring manager, a difficult ask. Tend to agree, but to compound the problem I can't see many, if any, quality players wanting to come to Town. It may well be that a couple of premier league loans will do the trick in the short term until we become a more attractive proposition ( hopefully).

OK, now let's see the £5m+ that needs spending spent on the right players. That's what it boils down to. We're desperately short across the park. What we have is too much of a muchness. We need variety, we need options. Above all, we need quality.
I'm happy to give Nagle the benefit of the doubt, but I do think he's underestimated what this division needs. Hopefully he's now seen the light and will put his money where his mouth is to sustain us at this level.

In his defence, I doubt we shouted too much about the under-investment in the squad for 5 years prior to selling the club to him. Most acknowledge that NW had the squad performing above themselves to stay up. The truth was always harsher than the table ultimately suggested. Redressing that will take time and can’t be cured in a single, 4 week window.

True, and I'm often the man to counsel patience and realism. I'm just utterly fed up with same old, same old. A good transfer window, even with a mix of high-class loans to see us over the line and a couple of first-team ready players from lower down (Ali Al-Hamadi should, for one, be on the radar) is essential in the short-term. We have to plug gaps urgently, because we can't rely on a miracle again. And League One is a bloody tough league to get out of.
