Describes himself as a player who likes to play in front of the defence (number 6), perfect for what we need as Hogg keeps picking up small injuries and knocks

I’ve already written the first 2 lines of his song (obligatory on here it would seem).
Someone will have to work out the soundtrack….
Alex Matos… Eats potatoes…
Good luck with fleshing this one out… 😉

Welcome to Town, Alex - hope he can tear it up like so many other Chelsea lads have with us!! UTFT well done Town on this one Yes, we have had some really good players on loan from Chelsea. Hope he's another. Glad to see we have still got our links with Premier League teams. It gives us access to players we could never hope to sign outside of the loan market.

Best of luck to Alex, let's hope he's the first of our rescuers.
Can't knock the club for getting this one over the line, especially so early.

Sounds very much like he’s here to play in midfield.think could potentially move around in there between 8 and 6 depending on fitness and availability of others. Remains to be seen whether he starts instead of Hogg with hoggy coming in for certain games or if he predominately plays 8 but drops in for Hogg when he needs to be rested.definitely options in there now should they all be fit.

I don't think any Town fan be unhappy with this signing
We all know the pedigree of Chelsea's youth team so to get one of their the best young players on a half season loan is a great start to the winter window
Looking forward to seeing him play

Seems like a type of player who could fill the LOB role pick it centrally and run at the opposition rather than a 6.

This is all done, just waiting for an announcement and media work to be completed. Could be announced tonight, but actually thinking it might be that it is saved until tomorrow so Kevin can be seen in some part of the announcement. Might even be a double signing tomorrow, oh and one out / leaving the club (nobody anyone will be concerened about). Basically you know the square root of **** all! Castlehill at it again! Telling us things we already know but making it sound like its breaking! He is a in the know poster if the topic is knowing f*ck all!

Nothing official, so, Happy to Wait and See. Cannot understand the need to speculate. “Happy to wait and see” - comes across as such a passive aggressive way of shutting people down. You might be happy to “wait and see” but what’s so wrong with discussing a linked transfer name on the football forum for a team that hardly ever sign players or have anything remotely exciting going on!?

It serves no purpose, that's why. How many players are mentioned in the January Transfer thread, currently running to 26 pages? One correct call does not give reason for all the other stuff there? Back in Summer I suggested that we were putting all of our eggs in one basket and bidding for Messi. Nobody commented, liked or disliked. At least there is a tiny amount of common sense re transfers, but it really is pointless speculation. However, now he's signed, I'm happy to wait and see how he plays before deciding if he is a good signing

Speculating on lineups, results, scorers? Literally all of this board is speculation 😂

I’m with you about waiting to decide on how good Matos is though.
