Yes, the guy might have been mentioned on page 68 of the rumour thread but I'm not always in the mood to trawl through it.

He has already sent a few messages in reply to my excitement at some potentially good, early, interesting signings to say that they are both unproven (true enough) and more likely to be failures than success “because that’s the type of signing Town make”. (Just an observation!) Both potential signings sounds good to me. Hopefully another 2-3 to come too. I would, personally, bring Rhodes back too. If we were signing the League 1 top scorer as an option from the bench I’d be happy with that. Granted his best years are behind him, but, I’d much rather turn to Rhodes for 20-30 mins than Hudlin, Harratt or even Ward. Plus, if we are playing two up as we have done recently he would find more space. |

A quick glance on twitter shows Rangers fans were hopeful of signing him, if we do get him then it looks like quite a coup.

I think there were similar comments last season when Kamberi and Waghorn were signing compared to playing Simpson. He might be brilliant but I would have preferred a quick and tricky type of striker as we have nothing like that currently in the squad. Who knows, he might be a modern day Andy Booth. Fingers crossed |

We never have any physical presence up front so I’m hoping that this happens.
