As much as I understand how much we’re all hurting I can’t get my head around those trying to throw blame at Dave. I dread to think how some of you must deal with real life problems.

And it’s all his own fault. He’s made mistakes, but there’s numerous people over numerous years to attach blame to as well. He hasn’t managed to turn the tanker around in his first season, I don’t think it’s all his fault. Disagree. Club was in decent health, they have relegated us by their actions. All naive, all called out by fans, all obvious errors. Heads need to roll and if they don't there's no chance we get back where they found us and no chance I'll be there next season.

I'm sure if we have another shit season again it will still be Dean hoyle,s fault according to some No it will obviously be down to the fact that the club shows an interest in fans opinions by asking someone to correspond with them on an internet forum. As if doing so isn’t bad enough by negatively effecting performances on the pitch it also embarrasses some fans (grown adult’s too I’m guessing)

Be careful what you wish for. It may be you he was kicking. I always thought his username was fecal by nature, and always wondered what it was about Andy Booth scat that inspired him.

If you actually read the thread and posts your commenting on, you will quite clearly see I made it clear I do not blame him for on field performances. I said I believe what he posts etc is not needed and it is one of many problems resulting in the off field shambles which we have witnessed. I also stated that others may disagree with that, each to their own. Just to clarify for you, I am fully aware the on field problems have nothing to do with him. I also never stated it embarrassed me, but do I think it embarrasses the club and make them look un professional, yes. If you’re going to make posts like that at least read the thread you’re posting on. You complain at me about quality….jesus

He has watched the game. Pissed off with the result. And posted “Time to go to work….” Would it have been better if he’d posted “kicked the cat…” “going to get pissed…” The ellipsis at the end of his tweet probably means “don’t know what to say at this stage”. Of all the things to be pissed off with I would put that tweet at number 1001 in the list. You are not getting the point are you. It’s amateurish, it is a representation of the amateurish approach that has happened from top to bottom. To answer your question his best approach would have been to gauge the feelings amongst the fan base and post nothing. He doesn’t just post for us fans 🤦🏽♀️ he has almost 60k followers from a few teams and as someone says has a radio show , he tends to post that he’s doing thru out and was literally just saying that it was time for him to go to work probs tired after getting up to watch that game and like us gutted to lose and then had to go to work !!! Why put 2 and 2 together and make 10!!!

I fear that we may be on the arse end of an ill thought out experiment Can’t run a club like this from five and a half thousand miles away Prob find most owners don’t live in this country

Many people post after games right I’m off to work now but it’s never been an issue before ! Count to 10 take a chill pill or whatever floats your boat !

I figure smj was Sean Jarvis? I’ve genuinely no idea of who jackass was, must have been before I regularly posted on here. We have been relegated and there is work to do. Of all the people that have contributed to our relegation you have decided to attack a radio show host from Sacramento. Maybe take a step back and think about how utterly bonkers that is. There is upset and there is bizarrely illogical.

The use of the word “attack” give over. As I mentioned before there are many people at the club who have far more to do with this mess however they don’t post on here. If you post badly timed comments such as his on a public forum like this/twitter expect people to have varying opinions on you're/other peoples posts just as many people have with mine which they are more than entitled to. Oh and he’s also a HTAFC advisor so he says.

Hello all
Still finding my footing. Generally after a loss, I’ve found that anything I post tends to be taken in the worst way, so I try not to say much. And especially after the weight of yesterday’s result, doubly so.
It’s usually either “see you aren’t posting why not” or “STFU dummy” or somewhere in the middle. In the end I’m just going to post with the best of intentions, and let the chips fall.
It’s certainly not my place to make grandiose or specific statements about the club and future, so I’ll just speak from the heart-
A year ago today I couldn’t have told you where Huddersfield was on the map. Since then it’s up at 4 or 5 am every Saturday, and sometimes during the week. I was in New Orleans last weekend watching my Kings get bounced out of the playoffs, only to wake up the next day to that awful result. And as a lifelong Kings fan I can honestly tell you the football result hurt worse.
I’ve gotten to know so many (not enough though) supporters, and the absolutely wonderful people that work at the club (mainly speaking of the “rank and file”. I’ve learned just how much it means, and how it’s so much more than a sport, it’s really quite like a religion.
I’ve read some opinions on here about American sports and how it’s different, and I’m certainly not going to get into THAT debate. Do our fans have to be separated at the stadiums and have we had many physical altercations? No, although there’s more violence than we’d like from supporters.
I think it’s the same thing anywhere- you have what you call the “happy clappers”, and then you have the fans, short for fanatics. I can tell you me personally- I’m in the latter group.
I’ve lived and died for my clubs since I was old enough to know it. My entire week/month/year can rely on failures and successes of my clubs. I once went on an RV trip for a month to 22 NBA cities to drum up support when my Kings were going to relocate to Seattle (lol seriously you can google my name and RV and you’ll see it), and that’s all a bit nutty. Didn’t have a job (had just been fired from the same station I work at now), and I had two young children (both about to head to university, time flies).
Is the soccer (football) in America comparable? No, not really. Soccer has always struggled to get a foothold over here, but is actually more popular than it’s ever been. And I’ve played and watched soccer much of my life, but a full year of English football was a completely different experience, one that I’m so happy for.
I wear my Town gear proudly around these parts, and love explaining to curious folk what it’s all about. There are a lot of similarities between Sacramento and Huddersfield, which really surprised me.
Working class, in the shadows of San Francisco and LA, and full of working class fans who fall in love inevitably NOT with the best players, but the ones that leave it all out there every time.
Just a couple of quick truths, take them how you wish:
- I really WAS going to work. I often tweet streams of consciousness. But I’d be lying if the tenor of my tweet wasn’t also “(shrugs, head down, sighs Time to go to Work….), because all I could think about was this match, season, and all of you.
- Fan appreciation was decided on as a surprise for the end of this year last summer. We’d been planning it. The only other choice was to cancel, but in the end we would’ve been depriving 15 supporters of gifts because we didn’t want to get made fun of. So we went on with it. And will do it again same time next year. And the “bam bam sticks” (we call them thunder sticks) same thing. Planned a long time ago.
- As far as hearing from Kevin, he’s actually done his diaries and tweets more after losses than wins/ties believe it or not. He’s not one to run from criticism. He knows as well as i anything said yesterday would’ve just been a lightning rod, and even without saying much the blowback has been massive, and that’s fine. That’s the big boy chair, you take the good with the bad. But I assure you he will be speaking after the final match. I assure you it will be a long, detailed conversation about this season and the summer to come.
I’ve seen a few “diaries are pointless you’re his mate you don’t ask tough questions”……which I of course disagree with. Yes they’re usually casual and sometimes lighthearted (not this time), but we’ve covered quite a bit of serious ground, so much so that some people have shared they wish he WASNT so transparent.
When we get close, I’ll start a new thread here and ask YOU to leave some questions, and I’ll ask them. Probably not all, as it won’t be a 6 hour blog. But I won’t cherry pick, and I’ll do the best I can to get the toughest ones in. Of course, “are you an absolute moron idiot” probably won’t make the cut, but tough, legitimate questions will.
Yes, some of the things here but mainly on social media are tough to read. There’s no chance I can match any of the history all of you have with the club, but I CAN say we now live and die with the results, much more than any other teams we’ve rooted for our whole lives.
And to those saying very nice things in my defense, of course I appreciate that very much. And to the ones that think I’m a big clown donkey, I appreciate you too. I AM a big clown donkey, but I wear my heart on my sleeve and will always be transparent and honest.
And if coming after me in any way gives anyone any sort of feeling for the good , I say have at it. Truly.
I can only say we are all in this together. I’m hooked. He’s hooked. The hard working people at Town that live and breathe this are hooked.
It’s not acceptable. Excuses are worthless. Platitudes are pointless. All that matters is you having the type of club that you can be proud of. It’s not simple, but it’s really simple if that makes sense.
I appreciate you all so much, and I’m happy to speak for KN when I say he does too.
Take care.
Time to go to work.

Fair play, I don't always agree or like how you post but you've absolutely got that post spot on as far as I'm concerned. It's a shame that Kevin couldn't read the room aswell as you with his tweet about Sac overnight. Whilst league games are important to both teams, in reality that game didn't matter half as much as ours with the consequences involved so to not even address our situation was poor after everything has happened under his watch.

The decisions this season have been naive, the spend on playing staff in the summer has left us with a terrible playing squad. Next year we need to absolutely bounce back. Be a big fish in a smaller pond, invest in hard working and some quality additions. Get rid of the losers and toxic members of the team. The fans will then return in numbers.

Hello all Still finding my footing. It’s certainly not my place to make grandiose or specific statements about the club and future, so I’ll just speak from the heart- A year ago today I couldn’t have told you where Huddersfield was on the map. Just a couple of quick truths, take them how you wish: - I really WAS going to work. Wish I could like this post more than once. You've clearly got the Town bug, Dave, it doesn't matter how long you've been a fan, you're one of us now.

But I hold my hands up, this is an open forum so you and anybody else do have as much right as anybody else to post on here. Whether I think it is the best of ideas is another matter, but this could go round and round in circles so I will leave it there and let the “happy clappers” take it from here on.

I have never doubted the sincerity and I personally appreciate that you, and to a degree through you, and Mr Nagle want to engage with the fanbase.
However, and I do believe you get this, what we have seen this season has been nowhere near good enough and has offered no evidence that the club is moving in the positive direction that is portrayed.
Yesterday was the culmination of many poor choices over a number of years. It is sobering to think that the club has generated circa £300m revenue since May 2017 (this around 15-20% of what the previous owner invested, which was no insignificant amount) and today, bar a better pitch, training facilities and some good memories, we are pretty much back where we started.
The club was clearly failing before Mr Nagle chose to get involved but I have to be entirely honest that I am disappointed that he hasn't been able to change course. Maybe things were too deep set? There is one thing that must be certain now though, and to a degree AB is calling it out things desperately need to change.
I would ask Mr Nagle the following:
What has he learned? Have the decisions taken in running the 1st team not merely exacerbated an already failing group? Does he have the right people, and enough of the right people running things on the ground? What will the short term and longer term plan be? How will improvement be measured and how long, realistically (there's one he'll of a lot to do) does he think that will take? NB I'd love to think we'll turn things round quickly but I also think there might be too much wrong to achieve that?
I don't go in for wild statements and abuse, it's not proportionate and achieves nothing. However there are a lot of very angry, frustrated and disillusioned fans today. It isn't all Mr Nagle's fault but the culmination has happened on his watch. Fans are looking to him to show some leadership and that ability that made him successful to get our club moving forward again. He needs to rise to that challenge and match the, laudable, positive outlook with tangible actions.
English league football is such that if you don't get a grip on the issues within your club it can become worse. Many may think it can't get any worse than yesterday but it can. I've seen it before and that is why action is required. The club is currently in danger of being seen in the football community as returning to what it was before our recent "success". Attracting talent, sponsors and keeping, let alone growing, the fanbase just became a bigger challenge after this disappointing season.
Our fanbase is loyal but it is also used to mediocrity, "typical Town" is a common phrase. This needs to change too. Mr Nagle has invested in something with more potential than has been realised. We need him to believe in that potential first then deliver against it.
In this precise moment you and Mr Nagle will get the, understandable, frustration expressed. I am sure you both expect that. When that subsides there is a hell of a job to do and we need to hear, and see something to believe in. At the moment we have heard much but what we have seen hasn't been anywhere near good enough.
I really hope you appreciate the candour and the reasonable assessment of where I think we are. I also hope you and Mr Nagle welcome and embrace the challenge. It is down to Mr Nagle now. I still believe he can be successful but I also need to see it happening.
I await with interest to hear the assessment of where we are and what to expect next (appreciating that this needs reflection and consideration).
I wish you both no ill and hope you both can match my hope for something, considerably, better.

I’m of the opinion that you and Kevin are genuine people and fully have the clubs best interests at heart. Yes there’s been some mistakes this season but I feel for Kevin as I think this season is a culmination of years of lack of investment in the first team squad by the previous owner. I just hope KN is not put off by some of the “morons” we have as fans. With some fresh faces next season could be a good one, Kev needs to go all out for promotion as we certainly don’t want to get stuck down there, fans may put up with it for a season but not many more! We must however now start to get the big decisions right, far too many since the takeover have been wrong and my personal view is that Kevin has to look at those he employed to advise him. Despite relegation, I believe Kevin will make Huddersfield Town successful again but the turnaround has to be quick as it becomes far too easy for clubs to get stuck in League 1.
