The latest we are terriers podcast is with a listen. They make a lot of good points. One being that it doesn’t matter what striker we have on the pitch we just don’t create enough chances. This has been a problem for a long time. I hope MD turns it around and time should be given but he does need to realise that he needs to pick a system for the players he has not the other way around.

The big problem we are going to have shortly is folks enjoying their saturdays by not coming unless this current malaise is addressed. Ive only been to 2 home games myself......and been an amalgam of bored shitless and angry that our players are outworked and outhustled yet again. The owner has to realise very quickly that hes got a fan base who have become apathetic - very dangerous as once folks stop coming they often dont return full stop. I agree with this. I just find grown up men having a go online at the owners mate a bit pathetic. If people aren't enjoying it. They shouldn't attent. That would send more of a message. Why do people go to something that theyre not enjoying and that brings out an angry/abusive/petty side to them. Iv been bored shitless to the 2 games iv been able to make too. If we don't get a positive result tomorrow, il probably give Saturday a miss as the atmosphere will be abysmal and its a 4 hour round trip. Il probably get called out for that last part, but I'd rather enjoy my Saturday than sat around bored and listening to constant negativity. Hope that isn't the case. I am on exactly the same page. Found the last few seasons a very tough watch (bar the Warnock period), very little by way of entertainment, and it just grinds you down. I wouldn’t have said it was having a mental affect or anything but it was quite depressing and I was turning up out of habit when I could get myself up for a game and it shouldn’t be like that. I haven’t missed it at all if I’m being honest which is a shame but it’s where I was at.

At last a sensible post, rock on rockwall👍👍 I agree 100 percent but it sounds like rock wall as given up a bit on town already and I don’t blame him, but it’s easier for all fans to chill if they have stopped attending half the games and that’s going to be tiwns issue . We started the season full of optimism 8 games in folk have already given up making the effort to come down every game. Not good. There was optimism as folk mistakenly thought League 1 would be a cakewalk. In addition, there are a lot of games and given how we’ve started the season, I can absolutely see why people are picking and choosing their matches. Honestly, I don’t feel as though I’m missing anything as it seems a continuation of last season; low on quality, low on entertainment, not winning games. Those I know still attending are bored shitless and fed up.

Reading the last few pages. A small minority of our fanbase are really embarrassing themselves. Rome wasn't built in a day. Anyone with any knowledge will understand that. Things take time. Those that are being like petty schoolkids would be the first to moan if KN called it a day. , Results have been terrible-Bolton aside- over the last 7 games. Even the 'happy clapper' camp would admit that. But the club is in good hands. There are a lot of mistakes from previous owners that still haven't been sorted, along with mistakes from the new regime. People just need to chill and enjoy their Sundays! At last a sensible post, rock on rockwall👍👍 Sensible by what definition. We are not talking about building Rome and as for anyone with knowledge. Anyone with an iota of knowledge even petty school kids or bed wetters realises getting RELEGATED to L1 does not fit into the soon be in the Prem plan. Reality seems to be a big problem for some of you keyboard fans. The issues start with the manager, tactics, poor quality signings, clueless cant be arsed players and a small number of deluded fans who like to chill on a Sunday. Anyone who thinks Nagle will be happy with the current state of affairs is an idiot, the only people happy are those posting chill BS.

Beswicks are still consultants to Huddersfield Town on how to run the football club, which at present they’re doing a cracking job of. Heartening to know that as well as paying a CEO to run the club, we're also paying the under-performing Director of Football's former employers to tell the CEO how to run the club. Who just so happen to be the agency who represent our manager. A lot of influence over us, it seems.

And those that 'have any knowledge' as you say will also know that a club cannot be transformed in a 12 mo th period. You simply can't get rid of every player you don't want and you simply can't bring in as many as you want. There are still budgets, restrictions etc to abide by. Nobody also stated that getting relegated fitted the agenda. The points you are stating haven't even been said. Under a new regime, things do take time. The stadium for example, it isn't just something that happens overnight. We can't just bring more players in when we can't get rid. We still have to pay those we don't want.

Yep, it definitely feels like we need to get out of the clutches of Beswicks Sports, bin Cartwright and hire a competant Director of Football. Who knows how easy that will be and whether this consultancy is a fixed period? I can understand an agency like that acting as consultants to help a takeover get through and maybe even for the first few months until a leadership team was in place. Why on earth they're needed now when we have a CEO, CFO, COO, DOF all in place, god knows. It does feel like we've been used as an easy place for them to dump their clients.

Football clubs dont have lots of time, they have a short season and they can go down as well as up. Losing game after game blaming the ref, the fans, the tea lady will end in tears yet again. I know it's only been a few weeks but already it feels like history repeating itself, same old problems, same old solutions, same old indifference.

A bad run of results has totally brought out all the issues that have been in place for most of the last 6 seasons apart from 21/22. We still sit nearer the top than the bottom and all it needs is a decent run of results, starting tomorrow. I have faith in Duff to turn it around and get the squad playing to their capabilities. I have faith in Nagle and Edwards. But I have zero faith in Cartright. I feel he is the issue and the bandaid will only keep being replaced until he is gone.

KN needs to get a grip of this - he's pumping £m's into this project to progress his ideals for the football club and it's sustainability and ambitions. All this work, all of it..is being undermined by what is happening on the pitch. Changing the manager, recruiting and offloading players hasn't seen any improvement..so he needs to look again at why ?
How come no matter who is managing the club no one seemingly can get a tune out of the squad of players at their disposal ? There's only one answer to that...player quality...and that points directly at one person. the recruitment official.... Can it still not be bleeding obvious to Nagle ?

Actually the last time we did that was Darren Moore. And arguably before him, Mark Fotheringham. What a sad state of affairs. I honestly couldn't even guess how many games he was here for, hands down the most forgettable period in my time watching Town.

I'd agree although I have to admit that even though the summer signings weren't perfect and we have one of two obvious omissions, you do have to question MD. If you'd told me that we'd keep Helik and Nicholls, sign who we have, but still be such a terrible team that we're outclassed by Northampton and Blackpool at home I'd have been very surprised. I was fairly sure we'd never pull up trees with MC here but I'm surprised just how bad we are and although I like duff I'm starting to wonder if he isn't very limited as a coach. I'm surprised at just how bad we are I guess to the point I can't see where the next points are coming from. Baffling, no little chinks of light either, even the victories we've had have been very unconvincing. Big change ahead I suspect unless things improve drastically.

I honestly couldn't even guess how many games he was here for, hands down the most forgettable period in my time watching Town. Two fewer than Moore Based on my 90%+ accurate data: Games in charge in the modern era (AH - After Hoyle) Clark the shark - 148 Lord Wagner - 136 Wizard Carlos - 92 Robins Crusoe - 62 Pow-wow-ell - 56 Graystoke - 46 Cowerings - 38 Messiah and Rocket - 22 Bore Moore - 22 Fozzy - 20 Blindvert - 18 Andre the (not) Giant - 13 Duffman - 8 Scoffer - 8 make of that what you will. But success and time in the role are not an accidental correlation.....

Pretty sure Fotheringham was here for 20 games and we got 21 points...not great at all but a points-per-game that will see you survive in any normal season. He was the opposite of Duff IMO...not very bright, interviewed terribly, talked crap..but I still say he wasnt as bad a manager as people make out, particularly when you consider the injury situation he was dealing with for almost all of his time here. But he wasnt a good appointment and wasnt the right man for us and we were proved right in ditching him when we did. But his spell doesnt beat various other spells Ive seen in terms of shitness..... Supermacs 87/88 campaign!...Most of 93/94 under warnock...Wadsworth...The hopelessness of the club under Ritchie in 2007/08 ...the 2nd half of Corborans first season here...last season and all 3 managers we had... When I think of Fotheringham id put him on a par with Powell or Cowley

I think that's what makes it more frustrating in a way. Not to get into debates around entitlement, but we do have the potential to be much better than this, which in 2008 felt like a faint hope.

For me it's becoming simple. The belief is either... ...KN believes a promotion winning capable squad has been provided but they're being managed incompetently, therefore MD has to be out and Wagner gets the job this week. Or KN believes we don't have a promotion capable squad, there's no real point removing MD, we all suck it up and prepare for a pretty grim future. Which is it? Or, there's an acceptance that changing the culture and mindset of the players probably won't happen overnight? Or maybe they don't think our recent chopping and changing managers every few months has done us any favours. Also, why would Wagner come here? Wagner was just a random name and the whole statement was a DATM 'black and whiteism'. I think the true position is as you've said...which is basically my second point, the club culture, mindset and squad is going to take some time to turn around, so might as well do nothing if they think MD is the right person to oversee that change of direction over an extended period. (and in the meantime, unless there's a big shift in the next 2 or 3 months, we need to just settle in for a mid-table, play-off scratching ride which is likely going to be really frustrating...I know there's barely anything in it yet, but already nobody outside the relegation zone has lost more than Town).
