The Dutch guy that was rumoured to be in for buying Town at the same time as Nagle, is he the owner of Groningen? AZ Alkmaar the team got their name because the city of Alkmaar is famously easy to find your way around...

Any of our resident Ivor Novellos want to try and come up with something based on Radio Gaga?

Like has been said you are clearly been picky. He's pointing out he's a committed defender despite the positive attacking attributes that he'd just described Shouldn't all our defenders be committed? Guess I'm being picky on that Don't know about that, but some of our fans should be committed.

Surely it can be just a simple 'Radinioooo' akin to Nico Vaesen's 'Nicoooo'.
Simple minds, simple solutions.

Good Grief. How does this keep happening to us? He caught it when with his old team. Hope he's not passed it onto any of the Town players. We have enough out at the moment.

They're still alive and kicking. Wonder if Balker will be good enough to sanctify.

Really grew into the game yesterday I thought. Not the most demanding opposition, but he did some really good stuff on the ball at times, looked very comfortable. And alright with the physical side of the game as well.

After that he didn't put a foot wrong, like an upgrade on Lynch...hopefully he's gonna be a monster!

Yellow card inside 20 mins I wondered if JW would be tempted to sub him at half time, he did well for a debut after a nervy start......With Yuta back we have a bit more choice in defence.

Yeah very impressed yesterday - CB not an easy position to come in to as a new player but after shaky start he was solid and composed in possession. Think he will only get better too. With Helik and Nakayama to add, defence (starting and subs) looking decent.

Imagine how good this lad would be if sweepers were still a thing in football. It was brilliant watching him at the weekend zipping across the field to recover the ball, and send these excellent long passes.

Can remember Phil Starbuck switching to a sweeper role back in the day.

Quality player Balker. His pace and ability on the ball is huge for this team, along with Spencer it means we'll be able to play a higher line and not be scared about the runners in behind. Will be vitally important for AB and his plans for developing the team.
He will need to work on his heading though. He lost the first header on Saturday for the winner, and that's a header you need your centre half to make. I remember Schindler being beaten in the air relatively often when he first joined, then after a few months he got really good at it, to the point where he made almost all of his clearing headers. So it can be trained, and he looks like he's got the potential to be a strong physical centre half if he's got the aggression.

I’ve certainly swallowed all the hype about tactics etc but his first job must be to improve the players we already have. Just hope Balker can stay fit as he’s already missed a couple of games and come off in one. I know some of that was illness.
