Does the 25 senior player squad restriction continue to apply during the transfer window? If so who is being omitted to make room for Balker? Talk of Austerfield going out on loan but I haven't seen confirmation of this yet. Is Nakayama excluded having been called up for the Asian cup? Apologies, now seen that Austerfield has been confirmed. |

There only appears to be one post on their forum since it was confirmed. It translates to: He is so tough that he first recuperates with us for 1 to 1.5 years and then goes along with the malaise and is also one of the main people responsible for relegation, only to be the first to say that you want to leave because you don't want to join the KKD. to play. Then you are really big. A defender liking a tackle whatever next, a striker enjoying scoring a goal. DM unfortunately doesn't rate highly in the intelligence stakes. I couldn't understand Corberan but he made more sense than DM |

If this lad leads the rest to play where the bloody ball is more often, rather than running away till there isnt anywhere left to go without joining the crowd and your option to make a challege that might be a foul has gone, then great... Gotta start defending before it gets critical, we really do. |

18 January 2024 - FC Groningen’s away game against FC Emmen has been postponed due to a virus. Well-being and health Acting coach Marcel Groninger said "before, during and after the cup match against Excelsior, players and staff members fell over in droves. It went very fast, from one moment to the next people suddenly became ill. It goes around at lightning speed. I haven't experienced this before in all those years as a trainer."
Fourteen players are currently absent. Part of the technical staff has also been felled, including coach Dick Lukkien, Yesterday, on the way to Rotterdam, the first signs were already visible that something was going around at FC Groningen. In the bus to Kralingen, where FC Groningen defeated Excelsior in the eighth final of the KNVB Cup (0-2). Norwegian winger Isak Määttä was not feeling well and was immediately kept away from the rest of the squad. This is a highly contagious virus, with symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, headache, diarrhoea and mild fever.

3rd wasn't it? 1860 Munich 2nd division at the time I believe Yes second on his transfer and had been for a few years. Saw Schindler play for 1860 not knowing he would be a hero here shortly after. |
