With some event backing why couldn’t he? Almost got Millwall into playoffs not long ago. The kind of appointment that sums up the reputation of northern town teams. Unambitious, settling easily for mediocre at best. Rowett might polish the turd team we currently have but we’re supposed to have ambitions of premier league football. The fact some of our fans are crowing for this type of manager is baffling I really can't understand how he's getting a fair bit of support. What's he ever actually achieved?

Klopp’s right hand man is leaving at the end of the season as wants to pursue his own managerial career - now that would be a step in the right direction for somebody.

New manager?
Castlehill’s source informed him DM would be here for Wednesday game.
Very confused.
I’ll take the enthusiastic bloke with his flat cap - the fans would embrace him day 1, sales of flat caps would rocket - will help cover some of compensation to Moore & his army of coaches.

Here we go again our 5th manager poll in 18 months, we are fast becoming a laughing stock. Becoming ?

That's like saying Grayson and Warnock are the best 2 recent managers ignoring Robins, Powell, Cowley, Schofield, Buzz and Moore 😁😁 I know, but I forgot about Siewert and I'm trying to weedle my way out of my error.... unsuccessfully it seems.

From Wikipedia: In 2021 Baumgart received the award "Bester Fußballspruch des Jahres" (Best football saying of the year) awarded by the german academy for football culture for his saying: "Ein Spiel ist erst vorbei, wenn der Schiedsrichter pfeift und ich nicht mehr brülle." (A game isn't over until the referee whistles and I stop yelling.)

Over achieved in pretty much every job he's had I think? Failed at Stoke but everyone does that. Admittedly not an exciting choice but his record is good I think although I admit to not having checked his stats, it's just my recollection.

I think he’s a good manager for 6 months if you want to get out of a dogfight but his playing style is pragmatic at best, we’ve seen our team play his a few times and I don’t want to watch it every week personally. Our fans are bored to death, they need someone to put something out there that they can get behind. Our chairman has publicly stated we want attacking football and that we have ambitions to compete for a place at the top level and if you say that and then appoint Gary rowett or similar they can’t not expect people to be miffed What is this attacking football that keeps being bandied about..... what folks really mean is they want winning football surely? I dont want more lee clark stuff which fails to bring success but which at times sees you win 5-0 or 6-0. Maybe im old fashioned but i want us to succeed - by winning games consistently. If it’s a straight choice between winning and not, we’d take whatever. But when given a choice, which we theoretically have, there’s a brand of winning football and it’s that we’re debating. For example, I’d take Wagner’s brand over Coberan everyday. Both did the very same, bar one cheating get, but I can’t say I was entertained during the Coberan era. It was effective, but it was absolutely dour 95% of the time. It is possible, whilst we debate, to choose a winning style over another.

I don’t think Baumgart is anywhere near our radar, sadly.
I have no intel, but I should imagine this will be a safe and largely predictable appointment. It’s too risky for a hard reset right now. So it shall be tried and tested in the Championship.

Fabien Hurzeler would be ideal, the next bright thing from Germany, at St Pauli.

Cartwright seems to be keeping his head down, busy interviewing I guess.
Surely we wouldn't appoint someone who Swansea have just got rid of for being shit?

I really can't understand how he's getting a fair bit of support. What's he ever actually achieved? Over achieved in pretty much every job he's had I think? Failed at Stoke but everyone does that. Admittedly not an exciting choice but his record is good I think although I admit to not having checked his stats, it's just my recollection. Even stoke he didn’t particularly fail. He won 1 in every 3 games. When you compare to Moore and his approx 1 in 8, it’s not particularly failing. His record is very good overall and it’s mainly championship level too. Near enough 40% win ratio in almost 200 games at millwall is decent.
