Can't see anybody getting attacking football out of this squad unless we bring in a playmaker in the next two days. Bought two strikers, still nobody to supply them, zero invention in this team. I like Matos but he isn't the signing in midfield that we really needed. Very disappointing we haven't filled in this gap however how much of the problem was down to a lack of the correct coaching required to get a team passing the ball to one and other. We saw when Wagner came in an immediate improvement in that regard and we do have some technical players on the books. Having said that a play maker would have been top of my priorities list, maybe it's meant to be Matos. |

I doubt that, he joined them in October And they’re a way bigger club than us. Everyone has heard of them. They wine more than us. Perhaps looking for someone who is used to it? |

I have been told its not Paul Heckingbottom, so considering my recent posts I would be going to your betting apps and lumping on him to be next manager its got to be a sure thing now I have said its not him. And yes I am prepared to get shot down again !!!!! In all honesty I was getting information from someone inside the club a couple of sources, but my main source is now no longer employed by HTAFC (not DM). You do realise that you have zero credibility? You’re a complete charlatan. Good for comedy value though. |

In all reality, whoever the new man is, will divide opinion. However, we 100% have to get behind him and give him a chance. My thoughts are that the players tried under Moore but without ever really trusting or believing in what they were being asked to do. Whoever comes in is likely to have had a recent failure at a club, otherwise they wouldn't be available. Lots would have been happy to have Duff here in the summer, so a short and disappointing spell at Swansea shouldn't really have changed his ability to do well moving forwards. I wouldn't be against him at all. Equally, I can see why we would look at Heckingbottom - did well at Barnsley and Sheff Utd generally and got both promoted. Only really failed at Leeds. Don't get the love for Rowett but he does speak well on TV and gets teams organised, albeit a bit dour. Alex Neil has a lot to offer despite his recent failure at Stoke, but most coaches at Stoke have failed for whatever reason. Eustace had a good spell at Brum after beating us but was largely derided by their fans before they beat us so that would be a bigger risk than any of the others. Cooper would obviously be the stand out candidate if he were interested but you would imagine that he can afford to wait for a bigger job potentially. Would we look abroad? Who knows. Any appointment carries a risk, so I go back to my initial point that we need to get behind the new man, even if it were to be Jesse Marsch 😃 Wouldn't mind him being appointed either, I even think it would be a real coup. I saw his team at RB Leipzig in the latter half of 2021 and thought he was a little unlucky in getting sacked there. His home record was explosive (Leipzig averaged 3 goals a game in 7 home games, albeit caught out in naive fashion against Bayern in a 1-4 reverse); his record away from home was not good though (failing to win in 7 games, even so sometimes very unluckily). Their CL record wasn't brilliant that season either, but I remember the home draw (2-2) with PSG being a very impressive performance against a very good team (even if they were minus Messi). He was sacked in December after 3 consecutive defeats, the last of which (1-2 at Union Berlin) saw him not being able to take charge of the team (had to stay at home with Covid). Even so they were only a few points behind the Europa League spots but way off the Champions League, and I think that didn't meet the expectations of the powers-that-be in Leipzig. Parking the bus was a foreign concept to him (even against Man City and Bayern, proving that a gung-ho style doesn't always pay off), but Leipzig were very pleasing to the eye under him and I think he's probably learnt a lot since then. Would fit Nagle's bill perfectly in terms of entertainment. Would be a breathe of fresh air in my opinion after Moore! |

I think the same - just scroll past Also fair play to those ITK who do post stuff on here I've been a long time poster and did have a short spell a few years ago were I got some proper ITK stuff from someone at Town. You can believe that or not. This guy literally was in a position to know most things and although 90% came off about 10% of it didn't I never posted any of it on here in part because it's not worth the grief So for example I was told around that time we had a loan deal for Patrick Roberts but it fell through. If I'd posted that we're getting Roberts and nothing happened I'd have had people saying all sorts. That's not to say the info wasn't right but just that the deal wasn't sanctioned by Man City at the time. |

Yeah but as others have said, people hear things in confidence and share them, sometimes they happen sometimes they don’t, it doesn’t mean everyone is seeking attention or making things up. These things are a process, information true at time of sharing can change. If people are constantly rounded on for sharing what they’ve heard that doesn’t come off we won’t get any rumours at all. |

Do agree with the first part of that, people will get bits and pieces, although those people will also usually say I aren't in the know or will only post the very occasional bits they get. Not consistent rubbish every other day. Also yes it is a forum and technically rumours board so you are right people can say what they want. |
