One browser window on this thread and one scanning Twitter for last minute odds requests to SkyBet. DATM famous. Never expected to see my ugly mug on here I do hope for your sake your mug doesn't have egg on it after this all plays out. I sincerely hope not because I'd be more than happy with this Wagner-esque appointment.

I don’t think Alex Matos’ game stats was the update we were quite expecting.
However, wasn’t bothered about any news after last night’s win until Brighton-writer popped up.
I just want to stop refreshing…

Whilst I agree with the sentiment/reasoning I wouldn't want either back. Despite it being a winning formula Carlos' football was atrocious and brain-deadening. Can't remember how many times I came out of a game thinking how the hell have we won/drawn. No need to ask the opinion of htafcokay on the subject of Carlos, I THINK he agrees with me Seems to be a lot who think that, I don't think we were dull under Carlos. Yes, it wasn't quite the "no limits" all guns blazing we got under Wagner but we were far more effective and even managed to finish with a positive goal difference. Wagnerball in the promotion season was thrilling, but I was constantly waiting for him to get "found out". Looking at his performances at every club since including Norwich currently, I think he has been found out now. Tbf Carlos learnt to be pragmatic. He found a way to get the absolute best out of what he had available (final apart, Lee 😉). If he was given better players the style might've gone back to the early games when we were attacking and scoring some great goals 🤷

I think he means Moore has got a new job so we don't pay him anything anymore. We've had to pay a 'get rid fee'. I'm still not sure if Moore working somewhere else as soon as he has saves us further fees. He gets his notice period, just like you and I would if fired (apart from for Gross misconduct). So that takes him deep into next season. Are managerial notice periods that long? I'm not disagreeing I don't have knowledge of this. Does it change anything at all the fact he's now employed at another club? Didn't Wagner sit on his Young Boys severance package for ages before taking a new job?

There's no hard and fast rule with these things - its totally down to how well a Managers representatives negotiated - both at the signing of contract and on the parting of ways.
He could have been 2 weeks wages, he could have been paid the entire value of the contract. We shall never know so no point worrying about it.

I don't think anyone really knows, each contract likely very different.

If he doesn’t want the job full time, why would he want it until the end of the season? Doing it for a few games compared to 4 months is a big difference. Fans banging on saying give him it until the season finishes, has he ever said he would do it until then? No. He’s simply said he’s happy to help out, not ‘I’ll have it until May lads don’t worry about it’. Possibly because he doesn't want to lose the academy job? there’s a huge difference between doing it for a couple of games and 4 months…

Stereophonics, Mr writer. Surely we could come up with something for that. Hopefully better than the croaky voiced, chestwanking, Welsh midget did 😁
