Hassenhuttl - but won't happen! Retired from football. tbf think most managers would take retirement if they was threatened by the offer of the town job.

I assume Danny Ward will be fit for the weekend now? Wards wasn’t even fit when he was garunteed every second under papa Warnock, surprised he wasn’t on goal kicks really…

Of the names in the poll: Voted for Cooper, but probably a bit beyond us at the moment. When he took over at scabs he hit the ground running, which is what we need right now. Anyone who's going to take a month before we see any results on the pitch is no good. Heckingbottom would be second choice, more realistic and has a proven track record at this level.
Any of those in the poll will be an improvement on Moore. Didn't think we'd ever make a worse appointment than Buzz, but we somehow managed it within a year.

Number one choice would be Warnock until the end of the season; or Cooper on a long term deal but I think that's unrealistic even if he was promised a war chest.
I'd rather a European coach than a boring Merry go round Heckingbottom type appointment even thought it's a risky one given the predicament that we find ourselves in.
i look at this squad and I genuinely believe it's too good to go down.
Nicholls Helik Sorba
Are quality and would slot into ANY championship 11 outside Leic, Leeds, Saints
Headley and Rudoni have big potential
We've just signed 1.0m+ CB, and 2x 1.0m+ CF..
It's not a poor side, I look at Sheff weds, Rotherham and QPR and the only player I'd have in our 11 is Elias Chair.
I'd say our fully fit 11 are Championship standard players that would give 20 of the 24 teams a good game if in the right formation with the right leadership - certainly not a 3 in 24 side.

Realistically Cooper is a pipe dream unfortunately in our position, but got to agree sad as it is anyone must surly be a improvement on Moore. Heckingbottom knows the championship and also managed in the top flight, so might be a good fit for our situation.

Surely heckingbottom is potentially another Moore, success on his CV but with a very expensive Sheffield United squad. Did well at Barnsley in league one, failed at Leeds and Hibs. We need an over achiever but feels too risky to be bold. Id give it Rowett, secure survival and see how it goes. Cooper first choice but possibly unrealistic unless KN has big plans. There were many on here adamant that it was amicable with NW leaving and all part of the plan. If it was then he's the perfect candidate isn't he, loves a project from February on and play offs still possible

Yup same names that are always on the managerial merry go round for the champ. Monk 🤦♂️ a surname I will forever associate with the maverick genius of be-bop rather than the sour faced ex-L66ds manager

Feel like any up and coming coach (domestic or European) would need a preseason. New appointment needs to hit the ground running and be able to communicate tactics and formations before the next match.

Someone on twitter says ex town player Harry bunn had a text from someone at town saying Michael Duff is going to be the new manager How reliable i don't know but i know wasn't he someone we was looking at before he went to Swansea don't think he's that longer term manager as the statement reads maybe a quick fix till end of the season possibly

Ideal world: Steve Cooper. Gets average teams playing very good football at the top end of this division. Horrible, nasty streak too. We're too nice. We have been for a long time.
Second choice: probably John Eustace. But he'd need time. It took a while for his Birmingham plan to start coming together before they took the bonkers decision to sack him. We don't really have that time, we need results as of Saturday.

His daughter is disabled and schools at St George's Park, where he obviously works. He has stated lately during rumours of going back to Everton that he isn't willing to relocate due to wanting to be with his daughter (who he also doesn't want to have to relocate).

Will Still - Would be over the moon with that, but he ain't coming to a club struggling at the foot of the Championship.
Steve Cooper - Would be over the moon with that too, but he ain't coming to a club struggling at the foot of the Championship either.
Nigel Pearson - Maybe. Watford appointed him, Bristol City fans loved him. Arguably laid the foundations for Leicester to be good. Instinctively I'm not inspired, but TBH he may well be a very good appointment.
Gary Rowett - Will probably keep us up, but do so by playing a style of play that's like a less exciting version of Moore-ball.
Jesse marsch - Erm... why?
Nathan Jones - Been gone too long.
Paul Heckingbottom - Good at Barnsley & Sheffield United. Dreadful at Hibs & the Chesties. There's mitigating factors for his failure at Beeston, but then there's mitigation for his success at Blades as well. Maybe.
Ian Evatt - He's still on the Board of Directors and a part owner at Bolton isn't he? Would take some extricating.
John Mousinho - Likely to be in the division above us next season with a promotion on his CV. Why would he leave Pompey?
Up and coming European coach? The next Wagner or the next Siewert? The next Carlos or the next Buzz? I think we need someone who has been a first team coach before.

Sorry my Maths was off earlier, Darren Moore indeed got 0.86 points per game, not sure where I got 1.15 from, thankfully the rest is right according to Transfmkt
