And Cooper an hour earlier. Sorry. Is this thread not about who we want? Klopp or Zidane for me.

For the benefit of those whose computer or phone doesn't show the link, what does it say? Don't know. Not read it but I didn't get it from there. I got it from the same person who told me that DM had gone yesterday. Contract has been put on the table but talks to finalise backroom team and some other things are on going

Jon Worthington is in interim charge it seems, according to Steve Chicken: But I suppose there's not many coaching staff about now lol.

For the benefit of those whose computer or phone doesn't show the link, what does it say? It just rather vaguely said(without double checking again) something along the lines of to be announced in the next 72 hours. That account has trawled out a fair bit of rubbish over January.Although admittedly it doesn’t only say it’s a rumour account. Think most would predict the announcement may come within the next 72 hours to be honest. Not taking the sheff wed game it’s going to be one tough start against Southampton away 😬

If it was going to be PH, surely a deal would more or less have already been sorted and be ready to go Sat.
Makes me think it isn't him.

Just had an interesting conversation with Paul Heckingbottom whilst doing the school run in Barnsley. Might be worth nipping to the bookies… What did he say? "The wife's gonna have to take the kids to school from now on". Wink, wink.

Votes for Jones, Heckingbottom and Marsch but non for Cooper. Glad this board doesn’t get to decide! Jones is off to Charlton thankfully, Heckingbottom is a big risk, Marsch would probably be a disaster, Eustace isn’t proven enough based on what Brum fans say about him. For me it would be all out to get Cooper however unlikely that is. Yes he may have eyes on a Prem job but his record there isn’t exactly great, if Kev can sell the vision then why not? Fascinating that you would call Heckingbottom a risk given he romped the championship title only last season.

Gary Rowett for me, more than proven at this level to get us up the table. Might not be the man to get us promoted, but that is a million miles away right now. With some event backing why couldn’t he? Almost got Millwall into playoffs not long ago.

Unambitious, settling easily for mediocre at best. Rowett might polish the turd team we currently have but we’re supposed to have ambitions of premier league football. The fact some of our fans are crowing for this type of manager is baffling

I think Heckingbottom will be announced before the end of the week.
Wouldn't be my choice personally 🤷🏻♂️ but good luck to him if he is appointed

Not sure why that conference would but you off. It’s a million miles better than any of Moore’s.

Sorry. Is this thread not about who we want? Klopp or Zidane for me. Let's reunite the best buddies for a managerial dream team. Dave Wagner, with Jürgen as his number two.

Something to do with a 90 day clause in his previous contract. 55 days since Heckingbottom was sacked 🤷♂️

Saw someone saying similar about their potential new manager asking Alan Nixon the other week.He suggested that finalising contracts for managers can take some time, not sure why, maybe they are just complicated to sort.

Might be worth nipping to the bookies… Odds that short now it’s hardly worth bothering 😀 Of school run happened…Perhaps that’s their point? Doesn’t say go to the bookies and put on PH does it… it’d be a good time to put money on another name rather than one 1/12 Also assuming poster knows odds

Would you sign the first thing put to you? Or would you negotiate? Some like to bring their own staff and won't sign till they have, so thats a number of contracts to get sorted. Bonuses, accomodation, expectations, transfer money available.... Loads of stuff to get sorted. Sometimes it's straight forward and agreed quick. Others not so. Sometimes it even falls apart.

The fact some of our fans are crowing for this type of manager is baffling What’s more baffling is how the majority of fans put managers into mental categories like you seem to have done with Rowett. Let me guess: “Uninspiring” “Defensive” “Pragmatic” “Northern”? I think he’s a good manager and also a realistic option. I’m not saying he’s my number one target but personally I think turning our noses up at a manager like him is completely ignorant.
