I hope he can emulate another long serving former player Graham Mitchell who boasts a 100% win rate in charge.

I like the idea of someone who has been at the club for so long managing town for a game, there’s always a small chance that It’s Maynard 😅

He's to Huddersfirld Town what Ken Barlow is to Coronation Street.

He's to Huddersfirld Town what Ken Barlow is to Coronation Street. Not sure that's much of a compliment, Roach has been stealing a wage for 60 years.

Truly great servant to the club, has done loads for us... but sorry Slapps, Shawsie was right, once booked his game usually went to pieces & he became very ineffective. Great for us when not booked. Oh crap, what have I done now ...

Loved him, one of the heroes of that promotion season under Jacko. Limited in ability but wore his heart in his sleeve and always got stuck in. One you'd want in the trenches with you! Perfect for this Sat imo. "Ohhh Jonny Jonny!"

First thing I thought when I saw the announcement was 'A chance for him to pick up a yellow card as a first team coach' 😄

This one's interesting as well, a cup final game so he's a lot more animated. A 16 year old Brodie Spencer was involved here as well as Diarra from the current first team.

I miss my endless bickering with Shawsie about him, as Im sure you all do. That's one thing I was on your side for Captain. Always liked Worthy. Probably because I knew his sister, but still. That sending off in the FA Cup was one of the worst red cards I've seen (if I remember rightly - it was an age ago).

Rather than making a hasty appointment I would be happy to see Worthy have a crack at getting some points on board, no doubt he will have the full backing of captain Hoggy who will rally the rest of the squad.....Between them you would think they have enough experience at Town to know what works & what doesn't.
