For those who have to take a radio commentary on Saturday, see if you can get Radio Solent. Commentator Adam Blackmore and pundit Jo Tessem actually appreciate decent football by Saints' opponents, and are real enthusiasts. Blackmore can be the radio equivalent of Jonathan Pearce, but he knows his stuff. I already have tickets for Saturday, so I will dispense with their services. You saying they're better than Oggy and Matt Glennon on Radio Leeds? Come on..

Going into a game which more or less everybody would expect town to lose but how many times does lack of opposition repect cause an upset especially when having more or less a free hit under Worthington
Town are the draw experts in this league and this one would be a massive point from Southamptrons unbeaten run.
I think this town team are better than this seasons results show and now is the time to show it

No injuries is probably the best result we can hope for in this one. 3 points + from next 2 games would be very good

Not sure about this one. Do we risk players that are not 100% fit with 2 winnable but tough home games to come. I know what NW would have done, rest players and take a 4 0 defeat!

I don't think they will risk onyone who is not 100% fit. Under JW they will go there ready to give their all, and there will be no accepting defeat as a given. A good thing about having players coming back is it gives us a good strong bench as well, which has been a rarity recently. Sounds like Rudoni & Kasumu back, Helik a possible but probably not ready, Radulovic looks fit to play but Healey out for a few weeks.

Absolute wanker, bet he's a steward on the ferry to Cowes
Wade Garrett Posted yesterday at 07:22 This will be another team of Northern wankers put to the sword. Routine 5-0, fuck knows who gets the goals, fuck knows who starts with everyone fit and in form.
Those Ee-Bah-Gum shitcunts will wish they stayed home looking after their whippets. Fuck off back to your desolate shitholes.

Was watching earlier in the week reruns of two Town wins, both had same referee one D Webb. So let us go for a hat trick on Saturday. Not been to their 'new' ground so a first there, cannot be any worse that St. Marys was.

There are too few exits and it can take an age. The Town fans area is at the North (Northam) end of the ground. The stewards are awful and stupid.

Now that we've a few injured players returning, the squad is starting to look a lot better.
Nickols
Spencer Balker Lees Yuta
Hogg Matos
Thomas Rudoni Koroma
Radulovic
Subs Maxwell Pearson Helik Kasumu Wiles Jackson Diarra Jones Iorpenda
Plus Ward is back in full training. Phillips training again with the first team. Burgzorg back soon and Headley & Healey hopefully not too far away. That squad is starting to look strong.
16 game left. 10 of them definitely winnable with that squad.
No excuses not to stay up really

I expect a draw, but suspect we may sneak in a win of 2-1. As others have said, the Saints long run will come to an end sooner or later, so why not to an unleashed Town.

With a new manager not too far away, and Healy out, I want to see Bojan dominate this game up front. It’s a real chance to show us what he can do.
The lads just need to play with confidence and feeedom, it’s a free hit, no DM bullshit to fight through, let’s show them what we’re made of.

It will be a tough game. We weren’t great until we scored against Wednesday.
However confidence is a big part of it and you could see how much the lads enjoyed that second half.
Probably hoggy’s best ever pass in a town shirt.
No predictions but let’s just be on the front foot and give them a game.

Thoroughly enjoyed wee Brodie's press conference - what a boy! He's fully intending to bring us back three points

With all the drawing that HTAFC have done this season - Town could currently adopt the nickname of ‘The Crayons’ 😬 (And I’d be delighted with another one on Saturday for sure) ! Being brought up in Huddersfield, I thought they were spelled CRAIRNES. They were certainly not pronounced cray -ons, as it were.

Agree with the sentiment but he’s probably coming up against two of if the best two centre halves in the division. Be a tough day for him probably.Won’t see much of the ball and when he does two fresh quality players to be up against. He will need runners off him if he’s to have a productive game.

And harwood bellis was one of the best in the league last season at Burnley and has been since he came in for Southampton this. The bad run they had to start with preceded him coming in on loan. Tough gig for our big man.

Tough gig for our big man. If there are weaknesses in the Saints side they are at full back. Both like to bomb forward so it can mean that the ball over the top into the corner can be fruitful for the opposition. Town have the speed to take advantage of such flaws in their set-up. Kyle Walker-Peters is a classy player and is fast enough the recover from his errors. Ryan Manning, at left back, is not as good in defence, with hisain attribute being good crossing.

I can see your logic, hopefully not too heavy if defeated.

Yeah I'd take a Darren Moore as well I expect we'd get the "4-0 down at half time" version though...

I'm certainly NOT of the Warnock persuasion, and I would thus prefer to put out as strong a team as possible and make as much as our counter-attacking potential as we can. If we lose 4-0, at least we gave it a go. If we were to try to play defensive possession-led football, we might well leave with a heavier defeat, and with little pride.

Whilst the result was great last Saturday, the performance was generally poor until we scored. I liked that we were aggressive in the press, but Wednesday found it too easy to get around it at times in the first half.
Southampton will punish us if we play the same, so we need to be a bit more controlled and structured in the pressing tomorrow or we'll take a beating.

First game after managerial change with a new centre half and Rudoni & Kasumu late removals I think the shaky start was to be expected. Hopefully better organised at the start Saturday.
