Anyone for Worthy until the end of the season yet? Warming to it but we'll need to get the points sharpish, players will be shot to bits in a couple of weeks playing like this.

Games taken to reach 2 wins this season Warnock: 6 Moore: 12 Worthington: 3 We could do a lot worse than give him the job until the end of the season while we look for a long-term solution.

If there’s longevity to what we’re seeing, he has to keep the job for the indefinite. Wagner v2. (Sorry Htafcokay!)

How about we just continue searching for a manager for another few weeks and see how we do?
The ginger Guardiola is doing a fine job.

I would have him permanently, if he his getting results and motivating the players to graft, and doing attacking pressing football, why would you need another manager.

I’m not sure I actually agree with what I’ve posted above about Worthy continuing - but I’ve got a good feeling after the game tonight. It’s nice to see us give it a go, isn’t it?

Hes done a great job but im not sure he actually wants the job, in his interviews he obviously loves the club and squad but seems to want to slip black into his old role as soon as he can. His man managment with vitutally the same squad as Moore shows he has far more idea on how to motivate and manage a game plan.

Brilliant tonight. Could and probably should have been more too!
On to Saturday!

He gets his side to play like he did- terrierlike, hard working, scrappy, and enthusiastic, but blowing by 70 minutes!

Love worthy to bits for what he’s doing but we can’t expect him to manage this squad full time permanently. He’s in a no lose situation at the moment very much like Warnock was. Once the week in week out pressure of management kicks in and it becomes a results business I’m not sure if he changes his philosophy. Many a good manager have before take Wagner after Tottenham for instance.
But what options do we have. 90% of all possible choices are just managers on the merry go round. Not inspiring at all and still a risk. So I think I’d be happy to give him 3 months to allow the board to find the right bloke and if we don’t in that time and we’re not in a relegation battle then JW stays on.

Still feel we need an appointment. Wouldn't want JW to end up out of the club.

Has to be now I think. The ones that don’t think so are probably the same ones that thought Moore needed more time.

Keep him as caretaker and don't rush into an appointment IMO, whether him or someone else. Whatever's going on here, and however brilliant it is, it's getting results which is the bottom line. No idea how sustainable it is, and the worst thing for all parties would be more upheaval. Does he have all the badges he needs to be a permanent manager even?
Anyroad, these brilliant performances have bought the club a lot more time than they thought they had, and it's just as well considering the boardroom disagreements.

100% give it him until the end of the season. A win on Saturday seals it. What do we actually gain from replacing a manager that has the team winning players full of belief and the fans happy? What is to say that a new manager might come in and undo all this hard work?
An added bonus of keeping him is seeing some of the usual suspects piss their knickers over it.

Makes you realise how bloody hopeless Moore was. Worthy is doing a great job because he’s just employing something called common sense. I could go into chapter and verse about the finer tactical details as to why but I’ll some it up with, Moore was absolutely hopeless and it’s an absolute disgrace that we have been drawn into such a perilous position with a set of players who aren’t as bad as our league position makes us look. Well done Worthy, I would not be in a rush to change.

Ridiculous that you have to pass some courses to be allowed to manage full time. Moore has passed all his and look how shite he was. There should be some criteria whereby they can take your badges off you for X number of months. 3 wins in 23 and boring everyone to death should definitely qualify for a 6 month removal
