Outstanding, strong, physical and composure.
The fact he has been good in a number of positions shows his quality.
A credit to the academy, his family and himself (bloody hell I must stop taking those Fotheringham pills).
Well done Brodie.

Can we send Ben Jackson to Motherwell if that how good players respond to 6 months north of the border? They can keep him. Without wishing to derail the thread and start bashing a player but god, he's a liability at times. After he came on last night Sunderland sent everything down that side, with a lot of joy too.

You've really got my hackles up now. You always do it though. After such a good performance from the team last night you still have to find fault with someone. I could give several examples of players who I thought were at fault at times last night but the overall display against a very good side was excellent. This is the first time this season I have really started enjoying games and I don’t see any benefit from unnecessarily picking out individuals with negative comments. Just enjoy the ride for once.

The squad suddenly looks good, the bench is now strong and the squad are singing from the same Hymm sheet, Brodie Spencer has probably amazed everyone he certainly has come on leaps and bounds.

Very good performance again from Spencer.
Does anyone else think he doesn't look like a natural footballer though?
His passing is often awkward and wayward. He's certainly very athletic.
I've always thought the same about kasumu, very athletic and mobile but terribly technically

He’s absolutely immense. Seen 9/10 performances every game since he’s been back. 19 years old, wow! Wow! I hadn't realised (or forgotten) he was only 19!! Whoever we sent him on loan to (Motherwell i think?), lets send some more there! Seriously they deserve a hell of a lot of credit for the player they have returned!! He has looked VERY good this last few games.

Spencer and Headley are looking like top prospects and we'll do well to keep them when the premier league inevitably come knocking. If they both carry on as they are they won't be cheap.

Spencer is quality. He's become a defender that I consider to be a key player.

I like Jackson. Hes never going to be a top player but in the championship, think hes good enough. Hes just getting dribs and drabs of gametime and think hes one that maybe finds that a challenge.
Spencers the same...but given a run in the starting XI hes showing what he can do as his confidence grows. Still think his decision making needs work, but ( maybe unlike Jackson ) hes got the potential to play at the highest level one day.

People could have said the same about Spencer before his loan.

Spencer had an athleticism and aggression that is gold dust when allied to the ability to defend, which it looks like he has. I’d rather not turn a thread praising one player into an opportunity to insult another so I’ll leave it at that.

If that's what happens when we trust Motherwell to help develop our players then let's send them some more!
Always look 'ok' but not amazing. Well since he's come back he's looked as good as anyone we've taken on from Chelsea over the last few years.

Looks likely to make a very competent wing back IMO. He was full back last night but did very well further up the pitch as well. He challenges well and his strength and timing are good, he looks forward first and has the pace and the legs to get up and down We like him, a lot👍

All this 'we'll make a few bob on him' by selling to a premier league side bollocks!, we need to keep our up and coming players liker Spencer to become a premier league side ourselves!

He came on late in a game and the opposition were going all guns to try and claw back and Christ in Shades (art) comes out with that comment. Absolutely unnecessary.

It wasn’t long ago that Jackson was getting praise, which goes to show football is a game of form and opinions. He has something, maybe needs another loan at a decent level to just bring it out of him more consistently. We could do with him finding it seeing as Ruffels is crocked and Yuta likely to leave.

Speaking of Yuta, he's been very disappointing since his injury. Had one or two decent spells boot overall a bit of a liability, unlike Spencer who is growing by leaps and bounds.

Just a shame that at the moment he doesn't seem to have the legs to last 90 minutes. The left side went to pot after he went off in the last 2 games and was replaced by Jackson. Hopefully Balker or Helik can be back soon so Yuta can go in at left back when Spencer gets subbed off.

But ONLY if he improves his weaker foot/gains confidence in himself to use it, his style of play, with how dynamic he is, and how he likes to get forward, only using 1 foot unfortunately eliminates alot of his options. if playing on the right side it allows him to cut inside, if he finds himself on the left, it means he doesn't have to keep checking the ball back onto his right, couple of situations last night that were perfect opportunity to whip the ball in with his left foot, but opted to drag the ball back onto his right. Has the potential to be a very good solid champ player and to push on.

He didn't have any cover in front of him, Sorba went to the right and Del isn't going to help defend 100% this. May be wrong after 2 minutes of that combination Ward seemed to move out left and put Burgzorg through the middle which had a better balance.

Been a revelation since coming back from his loan and deserves a pay rise and new contract come the end of the season. Go down (hopefully not) and someone will come in for him. A real gem.

In August he signed a contract until 2025, think if possible I would try and tie him down for longer. If someone does come knocking wouldn't it give us a bit more clout.

Can't believe we sent this lad out on loan and brought Edwards in....
The loan spell has been fantastic for him and us, but surely his development would still have happened of we had played him here.
