Quite a happy hunting ground for Town in the past. Let's hope we can keep that going!
No Hoggy, please.

Seen some big wins and big losses over the years at Vicarage Road, games are rarely dull! Looking forward to going again and hopefully seeing the gegenpressing again.

I'm not in the Hoggy bashing camp, played ok on Sat, won ball & set up Koroma for one of our only shots in 1st half, played a great chipped ball to Burgzorg in build up to ST hitting post......When Hull were holding onto the ball in our half before the equaliser my lad said where's Hogg when you need him, actually took Ward to break it up & we scored a minute later.

I'm not "Hoggy-bashing", although I do understand how it appears that way. I just think that he slows us down too much these days.

Thinking about a team for the weekend I have a strange feeling we will be back to 3 and I think the below looks balanced and great for counter attacking away at Watford, subject to fitness.
Nicholls
Pearson Helik Baulker Kasumu Spencer Matos Hogg Sorba Rudoni Bergzorg
or if a 4
Nichols
Pearson helik Baulker Spencer
Kasumu Matos
Sorba Rudoni Koroma
Burgzorg

I really don’t think Pearson should be playing right back. Isn’t good enough on the ball to get forward and he gets targeted every game by the opposition with the ball over the top.
I would go with Spencer at right back and Nakayama at left back until Headley is back.

I would go with Spencer at right back and Nakayama at left back until Headley is back. Would agree with this tbh.He did extremely well against Clarke as I did worry about that at the time. But by all accounts didn’t have his best game on Saturday,I was unable to get the game so can’t give my own opinion. Personally just feel it’s tough to keep asking him to play slightly out of position.Like you say struggles distribution wise and adds no really attacking threat in open play, also his lesser pace will be targeted. For me Spencer there and Yuta left back has more balance and round peg round holes. What Pearson does provide is a set piece threat. If Helik is back no doubt he can replace that. Think it’s a game we can win this,Watford not won at home in 6 and their form is generally a bit iffy at present.Maybe some pressure on them to come at us which should suit us. Hopefully can pickup 3..would take the draw and a good performance. Nicholls Spencer Helik Balker Yuta Kasumu Matos Sorba Rudoni Koroma Burgzorg Obviously Providing Helik fit and burgzorg ready to start.

After watching that Hull game I’d be tempted to shuffle things slightly and I think Andre will do. We know he favours a back 3 so this is my prediction (most likely way off):
3-1-2-3
Nicholls
Balker Helik Spencer
Matos
Kasumu Rodoni
Thomas Radulovic Burgzorg
Although I think our strongest is a 4-3-3
Nicholls
Nakayama Balker Helik Spencer
Matos Kasumu Rodoni
Thomas Burgzorg Koroma

I'd be surprised if the new manager puts Pearson at right back. He's a centre half as clear as day and as great a servant as he's been, we need better on the ball from a right back.

Where’s this Hogg moaning come from? I’ve never been his biggest fan but he didn’t even play badly on Saturday.
Slick teams like Hull pass it round players, it’s just what they do.

He's been a problem for us for ages, not just Saturday. He just stops us playing quickly from back to front or from turnovers. Along with Pearson he's got the poorest touch and agility in the squad - but Pearson isn't in a pivotal position to dictate our play. Having said that, I felt he'd had his best little spell under Worthington. He's a great bloke and has bust a gut for us over the years but he's not an asset starting the game for us any more. Hard to take for those of us that just love him but you've got to put affection and emotion aside.

We can just tell that just before the point of no return for him from most fans he'll have a few absolute blinders and be our best and most important player for a few games and then be shit again after seemingly rescuing his position

His inclusion voids any high energy that we've had recently, he's 35 and shouldn't be anywhere near the starting 11. We can't accommodate Hogg and Matos in the starting 11.

It's rare he's totally crap but Saturday wasn't his best game at right back.

Referee is Ben Toner, he awarded Middlesbrough a soft penalty at JSS which was brilliantly saved by Jacob Chapman......No Town bookings (2 for Boro) that night, although Hoggy did go off injured in the 1st half.

I don't think AB will need to go back to basics to the extent of this time last season under Warnock. Worthy proved the lads can play front foot, aggressive football so I can't see many changes on that front.
Between matchday 34-37 last season was pretty bleak before Warnock managed to work his magic. Burnley and Coventry drubbings, a narrow defeat at West Brom then a late draw against Norwich. Think we were 6 points adrift at some stages in that run.
Hopeful we don't need to go backwards before we go forward this season 🤞

Ive seen a couple of Watford games this season, and tbh you've no idea what you're going to get
Ill stick my neck out and say a managerial bounce for us, were going to sneak it.
Looking forward to this one
