Sincere condolences for your loss. thats really upsetting news. We generally dont know each other on here, but for all the fall outs and bickering, we are a community with a common interest and your dad was a valuable mainstay of it whos opinions commanded respect. Cherish the memories you have of him. RIP Melc

Sorry for your loss. My dad was the person to take me down to Leeds Road even though he wasn't a football person and I now take my son to the games. For many of us it's a family thing and it will be very sad for you the next game you go to when he isn't there 🩵🤍
RIP Mel

Really sad news and sorry to hear it. My dad took me as a young kid. He doesn’t get to many games now due to living overseas but when we do go together, you never think it will be the last, but football memories with family and friends are some of the best memories you can have. He’ll be joining the many other Town fans who have passed, cheering us on.

So sorry to hear of the loss of such an established member and contributor on the board. Mel's was a name I always noticed on here. He'll be sadly missed. All the best to you and your family. X
Approaching 10 years since I lost my dad, I often wonder what he'd have made of the last few years.

A great poster on here was MelC.
It sounds like he was well loved, so there’s some comfort in knowing that, and obviously tons of happy memories for you and yours to reflect on.
All the best…

Sorry for your loss, sad to hear that news and hope that your dad's prediction of dropping into the bottom 3 doesn't happen! Will be a shame not to see him posting on here anymore

Sorry to hear the devastating news about your dad, a poster I respected. I’ll be 70 in September, a sobering thought. I guess many of us on here have our dad to thank (or blame) for our love of HTAFC but it can never compare with the love for your dad. RIP Melc.

His final post was a dig at Leeds, a true terrier. One of his last messages to me on Tuesday was also taking the piss out of the Valley Parade pitch as well!! Thank you all for the kind words and condolences. He’d also be buzzing to be getting a message from Maynard, so thank you all. I’m biased but he was such a great man, a great husband, Dad and Grandad. The definition of a Role Model.

I don't post often either but I'm very saddened to read this. As others have said, I recognised the username straight away - he was a big part of the DATM family. My sincere condolences.

Deepest Condolences and Sympathies to yourself Terrier10 all the way from Bonnie Scotland...
Your late dad sounds like a truly amazing fella and true family man and hugely passionate HTAFC man -
There is no point in sugar coating it, there are very sore and painful days and weeks ahead, but with good family being strong for each other and good friends around you, youse will all get through this and having lost ma own daddy eighteen years ago this July I promise that time is a heartbreak heeler though it won’t feel that way just now, nor for a good while, but that pain will turn to beautiful and cherished memories of all the quality times that yous shared with each other and the family and HTAFC as well...
I can see from the most beautiful eulogy that you bestowed upon Melc that that he passed away quickly and unexpectedly and while we never wanna bid our loved ones farewell sometimes passing suddenly is the best way despite the shock of it all...
I know yous will be as strong as possible for each other as a family Terrier10 in the days weeks and months ahead and will get each other through this dreadful time...
Take Care and God Bless youse all going forward Terrier10 and remember so very fondly all the quality years that yous all shared with Melc -x-
Fae Westie 🙏
