I’ve went for a score draw as anything else is totally unthinkable... I think today that while today there is a group of 8 ( The Wendy’s - Town, Birmingham, Plymouth, Blackburn, Stoke, QPR, and Millwall) that’ll be reduced by probably two by tonight, probably another one on Saturday and by the end of play on 13th April it’ll likely be any two from four to join (surely by then) relegated Rotherham... Anyway for today - PREDICTION = Stoke City 1 v Huddersfield Town 1... I thought it might only be two that got away from us tonight but the Birmingham and Blackburn and QPR results have been disastrous for Town but they’ve earned them and why should they roll over to keep the likes of me happy so through gritted teeth 😬 fair play to them I guess - I only wish we could do it v higher up teams and it seems psychologically ingrained in Town how NOT to manage it... But the net is closing in rapidly and the noose is sadly tightening for Town and for me it’s two from five now and only because of Millwall’s shock defeat at Rotherham which they will probably use and lash out their anger on Town on Saturday unfortunately... ☹️ We certainly ain’t gone yet but my goodness it is becoming very very alarmingly closer and closer by the Matchday I’m afraid ! 🤭

I usually reserve hyperbole completely, but I can say with some conviction that I don’t want to see Bergzorg play again this season. After Fridays performance I cant believe he was anywhere near the pitch, let alone on it

It often comes down to fine margins. Sorba has to do better to prevent a shot rather than dangling a leg out. We will have seen goals given where a player is in front of the keeper. Burgzorg could have crossed, but watch again and he does look up and possibly thinks the defender is covering a cross. Possibly being the key word. Split second decision. Most players did a good job. AB could, however, expect Wiles to do a better job than he did. Nowhere near Rudoni in terms of effort, desire and threat.

Town were far more dangerous? Really? Stoke created more chances than we did. Town should have won that. And I’m the most negative Town fan ever. Don't be so hard on yourself. Suspect there are at two others more negative than your good self😉😋

Thomas has almost perfected the "half hearted challenge." He does it all over the pitch, not just in defence. Almost to the level of Kachunga, and he was the absolute master at it. Really pisses me off. We're in a relegation battle! At least make it look a bit more convincing! Is he scared of picking up an injury? Got a move lined up? F***ing hope so.

Lot of defeatism on here after that. Birmingham 2 points above us still to play at home. Millwall 4 points above us still to play at home, and Plymouth in absolute freefall only 1 point above us. Yes we’re in a very precarious situation but we’re still bang in with a chance of getting out of this. We need to win some games though, probably 3 of them, and we don’t win enough games. It’s not the run in that’s the problem, it’s that we’re incapable of consistently winning football matches. There’s no evidence to suggest that we will be able to get 10 points from the next 6 games, it would be some turn around to keep us up from here, we haven’t won in the last 6.

Millers stay of execution keeps Millwall in the shit providing we beat them on Saturday, we need a convincing win similar to way we despatched Wendies.....Thank you Rotherham United, could you please win your next two at home PA (Fri) & Brum (20th), cheers.

And Koroma looked up on Friday but had nobody in support and goalkeeper was always favourite from that angle. Burg did have Healy close

An entertaining game today. I can't fault the effort but think we lack confidence overall. With a bit of luck and more composure it's a game we could have won.
I might be be in the minority but I love these end of seasons where every game is massive.
Those of you who have been waving your white flags for months need to grow a pair

Although a skillful player, and an invaluable asset for set pieces, I imagine on sheer attitude, playing on a team with Sorba Thomas when you’re losing is excruciating. Stroppy muppet.

True. I'd keep him (if he'd stay). We have had a couple very poor managers in recent years but I think AB has just walked into a mess. Whilst I don't think this is his fault he will have to take some responsibility for us going down if in fact we do drop. I think he'd stay if we promised him the right things (squad clear out, money to rebuild and whatever he wants in terms of control over transfers). Agreed. He's walked into a situation where he doesn't have room to make the errors all new managers tend to make. We all know what the Championship is like, teams around the bottom start pulling in wins as the season comes to a close. At the moment we're the only ones who aren't. Still a chance, but the fixtures are running out.

I weirdly feel better after that. You make your own luck in football and I know we haven't been great. But we have had sod all luck in recent weeks. We are due a break. Massive opportunity to drag Millwall into it on Saturday. I'm surprised Sheff Weds have fluffed their lines this weekend but if we can get ahead of Plymouth then I think we will be fine. There were some good performances today. The caveat to Plymouth is that they don't hire Warnock before the seasons end... I’m with you, I feel slightly more confident for some reason. I expected Wednesday to be above us after this weekend and Plymouth look in worse form than us. We just have to win on Saturday now , huge game. Need fans backing them not whinging if we’re not 3-0 up at HT! We can still do this.

Almost a perfect away performance. Thought we were the dominant side throughout..got the lead which we deserved, then one crappy moment by Sorba leads to a bit of a worldy from their lad and despite being dominant again we just couldn't fashion a winner.
Not the result we wantedtbut the performance wasnt bad overall despite a few dodgy individual showings...Bergzorg and Headley mainly.
Can we finish above Wednesday ( whos upturn in form seems to have ended now ) and Plymouth ( 1 point from last 6 games) ?? yeah course we can, with 3 winnable home games to go , and away at Bristol who'll probably have nothing to play for and Ipswich who could well be resting players for play offs or on beach having gone up.
We 'shouldnt' go down from this position IMO and I dont think we will.

Another goal conceded with lots of town shirts in our own box. We get back too deep, too quickly and we hang about in there too long, we seem to believe that simply being there is defending. Had Sorba not been there its probable that the lad would have run directly towards goal, cutting the angle and making a shot harder, my guess is he would have fired it or chipped it across. So not only didnt he defend he made the lads mind up for him by dancing about like a tart in front of him. If you pick Sorba he wont defend properly, its a simple decision to make and to cover if you do. Go 4 4 2 and leave him up the pitch or dont play him from the start. Even with him on we look unlikely to score more than one, 2 at best so we simply cant concede. By the way, the second half, the one bit of non defending apart, was ideal for a team with a lead, it was bitty and scrappy and goals looked at a real premium. Sad to say my reaction at their equaliser was ffs dont lose it now and we in truth didnt look like we were going to. The other results make it look much worse than it actually was.

No need for obituaries with 6 games to go You're assuming we're going to win some or all of those games? Based on recent performances we just don't look like winning a game. Week on week the games tally is whittling down, all we're doing here is putting pressure on ourselves, the margin for error us reducing rapidly as each week goes by.

Thomas defending for the Stoke goal was truly shocking, a pub player would have done better but overall one point more than I thought we'd get .

Kasumu was excellent today. One I hope we can keep hold of if we go down Might be useful if we do go down, but other than his application and effort he's not up to it at championship level. The fact he gets so many games for us is just indicative of our poor squad.
