The wind made attempting to play anything decent nigh on impossible for both teams, folk slagging players off for passes going askew in the wind etc...pricks. Long passes, or hoofing it, was always a lottery as to who would receive the ball. So surely the gameplay should have been to make shorter passes with less affect from the wind. couldn’t believe neither team seemed to know how wind worked.

Better as a striker or attacker when the ball is holding up or veering about in the wind than chasing the fucker as it runs away?? Second half there were a few 'melees' with nobody knowing where the ball was going to end up as we just left the long stuff to run through to Nicholls.

To be honest it was a low quality game, 2 poor teams, but right now I don't care how good or bad we or the opposition were. We won. At this stage of the season, in the situation we're in, winning is the ONLY thing that matters, however it happens.

Thing is we're not very good at it. Exactly. It amazes me that professional footballers in the second tier struggle to do such a basic part of the game.

Not read the thread. Just like to comment. All you lot that boo when Edwards comes on, you look and sound juvenile and pathetic. You are just sheep. I don’t even think you know why you are doing it. He’s been poor while he’s been here, but to boo him as he enters the pitch…grow up. I thought after the 3rd misplaced (shit) pass, his teammates were going to start joining in with the booing.

With the wind in their favour 2nd half did they did next to nothing (thankfully). In strong wind like that it's easier to play into the wind than with it. Either way, you'd imagine Harris would have been hoping for more than the two attempts at goal they managed (or at least force Nicholls to make a save).

It must have been pretty windy at ground level also. Ball boys at the panasonic end took the balls off the cones and put them next to the billboards. Several of Sorba's corners moved before he took them. Ironically one of them was the pee-roller that we almost scores from. Weirdly (I sit central in the Kilner) the wind was blowing onto the right side of my face. Must have been bouncing back from the North stand.

I thought Rudoni was anonymous today, didn't contribute anything. What a childish post, where did I imply he played today? It wasn't aimed at you.

But were the fans booing Edwards or the decision not to bring someone like Jones on?

Late pen to get a draw at Millwall then a late winner at home.
Love it.

I think the feeling might be the meds wearing off. Sorba is one of the shining lights in this shower of a season. Only 4 players in the whole division have created more chances and all of them play in teams going for promotion, two for Leeds and two for Leicester! He was almost literally fighting for the shirt today. I still think he’s our best attacker but the bit where he started fighting over basically nothing was something unnecessary given the circumstances. He’s allowed a blip. The other three are not though. Their lad was the instigator, to me it's bollocks that both get a booking for that. Like bloody teachers at school who'd punish you for giving someone a well-deserved smack.

To be fair I'd prefer to see Birmingham go as they have been hanging about the bottom, just as we have to be honest, like an unflushable turd for the last 10 years.

We've certainly played better and lost. Massive goal, massive win and hopefully a much needed lift in confidence and determination. Kept the faith Town fans

Never understood the point of booing players onto the pitch. Bizarre.

It was definitely swirling around a bit, rather than one-way traffic. Just before half-time I was worried Sorba was gonna get injured with those corners that kept shifting.

To the Rudoni critics - we showed today why we had to play Route One Kasumu and Matos really cannot pass a ball forward and Kasumu showed why he has scored 2 goals in his whole career (120 + matches ?).

If we can keep above the line, there’s a good chance they could both go. if Carlsberg did relegation battles ….

Rudonis issue is that he hasn’t really nailed down his position in two season. I still don’t know where he’s best. I’ve do miss his work rate massively though, a lot of players would do well to put as much effort in

Massive win. What was going on in the upper tier? A old bloke collapsed. No stewards about to call for medical help. We were trying to get the attention of other stewards. Took quite a while for the medical people to arrive. Hed come round when they took him out. Absolutely terrible stewarding. The medical people arrived first and they'd come from downstairs.

16 draws this season...if we had converted 3 or 4 of those we would not be shitting our pants now. Fuck how we play, it's now all about points, fuck pretty football. Stay up then let AB have a pre season with his ideas and players. Then we go...maybe The shit in my pants is nowt to do with football

It was always going to be a sham of a game in those conditions. Some people sat under cover don’t seem to be able to understand that the conditions at pitch level were very difficult. Deplorable that some people booed one of our own players before he entered the pitch and Andre was rightly incensed and remonstrated with the crowd in the Riverside Stand. I notice that some people were questioning Andre’s passion - showed enough passion when he ran down the touchline when we scored! In a poor game, Sorba showed aggression- this is no negative in my opinion.
To come out of that with 3 points is all I care about.

There’s a supervisor at work who’s a blue nose. He’s been smug af all week and honestly it’s more than just Town staying up for me, if we sink Birmingham it’ll be the easiest wank I’ll ever have.

Shout out for Wiles.
Didn't play for long, but looked like he'd make a difference every time he got the ball.
One swallow and all that, but well played.

Not long home and exhausted…feel like I played the match! Feck knows we needed that.
Not a pretty game but it isn’t going to be for the rest of the season - it is about scrapping and getting enough points to stay up.
We didn’t play great for sure - however the wind was horrific, and despite the general standard of play being below average, we did have some good openings.
No doubt all the lads were fighting for each other - big shift from all.
Helik - immense! What a player and leader he is for us. Pearson - his deficiencies get mentioned a lot but as a CB in a back 4, he never does a lot wrong when it comes to defending. Did well again today. Spencer back on form.
Left back is a problem area with Yuta and Ruffels out. Both Jacko and Headley off form and maybe not ready for the pressure of such an intense run-in. Great to see Turton on the bench but we can’t rush him back too soon. When discussing full backs, I have to say I was embarrassed with our own fans booing Edwards - in what world does that help.
Sorba was class - I like his swagger and a bit of petulance. Loads of talent but works so hard too. Nothing wrong with showing some fight when provoked.
Koroma, Del, Wardy and Bojan feeding off scraps but all had some okay moments - Koroma always a threat when he plays.
Healey has the potential be a cult hero - heart on the sleeve player and seems to have a striker’s instinct.
Our biggest problem today (and probs most of the season) is the lack of creativity in CM. Not criticising the lads who played today - they did what they do and fought hard, but the match was crying out for us to have a CM who could put his foot on the ball and make us tick. Wiles did well again off the bench and clearly has ability - can we get more out of him these last 5 matches?
Delighted for AB, the players and the fans. Momentum is big in football and hopefully today’s buzz will roll in to Tuesdays match.

Jolly gosh, what a smashing win and those Cockney chaps weren't happy in the car park. Its not about performances now, we have to dig in and sock it to em.
