Never thought I'd say this but hope the gaffer can 'do a Fotheringham' tonight.

Just looked at the table, I think Preston will have less belief in making the play offs than our team should have of staying up. They’re currently 10th , 7 points off Norwich in 6th. They’d need to be 8 points better than Norwich over the last 5 games, pretty unlikely. And that’s before you factor in Hull and Boro who are 6 points behind Norwich and Coventry who are only 4 points behind. Would be very un-Preston like but there’s every chance of them not really being up for a battle mentally. Preston are at home to Norwich on Saturday, they need 6 points from the 2 games to stay in the playoffs,no doubt they'll be going for them

Norwich are away at Wednesday tonight.

Don’t know whether it’s just blind faith and optimism, but fancy a win for us tonight. Saw Stoke went there about 3 weeks ago and got a 2-1 away win, why can’t we?

Pretty tame efforts with only one shot on target in PNE last 2 outings at Brum & Watford have left their play off hopes all but over, that said the home faithful will be expecting to see the players showing a will to win even if minds are on a sunny beach elsewhere......A clean sheet is a clean sheet (even though Millwall missed a couple of 1st half gobbers), same again tonight could steal more than just a point. UTT.

Really makes me laugh that Preston are in with a shout of the play offs, being 7 points behind Norwich.
Yet we were down before Millwall with 1 point away from safety.

Their last 5 have been LWWLD including losses to Stoke and Birmingham not really play off momentum is it?

A draw would be a terrible result for Preston. If we could get to 70 minutes level or even in front we could take advantage of that.

Leeds 0-5 Sunderland
If that one happens I'll bare my arse on the town hall steps.

Never understood why we struggled so much at Preston, hopefully last year was the kick start of a run of decent results at Deepdale, they aren't anything special on paper or reality so would hope we can go there and at least hold our own.

Where’s the best to park and is there anywhere decent for a beer beforehand? I shall be parking on some side streets that are about a 10 minute walk to the ground. Where Ive always parked at Preston without any problems at all. Not sure what the road is called but the postcode of a shop on there is PR2 8BP. Its a main road with loads of little side roads going off it so I park on any of those.

There's no logic to it at all. It's just 11v11, what has gone before has no bearing on the game or shouldn't do.

Bit windy still this afternoon, on the met office forecast it looks as though it might be calming down in Preston this evening though.
Really don’t want another game affected by the wind.
