Can this last gasp win against Millwall spark Town to life with a win at Preston?……

Preston 0 Town 1
But even if we drew it would be a good point

We need to win games, simple as that. Preston are a solid mid table side but we have to try and win.

PNE really needed to win today to keep in touch with the play offs. We need it more. Hopefully we can use the momentum from today to push on, although we might need to play a midfield on Tuesday rather than 4-2-4.

Must win game, if we lose it saves from the irony of the next game being a must win game.

PNE have all to play for. Win and they are only 4pts off playoff place. We will have to play significantly better than we did today. Hope the wind calms down...!!!

Might be the season we change it! Fotheringham got a win there just last season! But he was a tactical genius, we were lucky to have him 😂

Absolute graveyard for us. Might be the season we change it! Did them last season with a late winner from that Kesler Haden whatever it was. Rhodes came on as a sub and put in a right shift.

I was there and had no memory of Kesler-Hayden’s goal until you said that! Until I checked I thought Rhodes had bagged the winner. Diarra was the one who really changed the game, though, coming on and running in behind. I would take a point on Tuesday. With two straight behind us it might not appear on paper to be the best result, but just keeping picking up points is the thing. Two points from the next two away would be a good return. More than that would be brilliant.

Probably not a game in which to experiment, but I'd like to see Wiles tried out in central midfield. Obviously not for his tackling prowess, but as a link between defence and attack. Another member posted on a different thread that neither Matos nor Kasumu show for the ball, which is absolutely true and means the likes of Pearson having to whack it long. Wiles is a really nice passer of the ball.

Could do with 1 win out of next 2 away games to set us up for the 2 home matches following
Brum and Millwall both playing Cardiff at home which doesn’t bode well with Cardiffs form despite them beating Cov away recently (1-2, both ogs)

-----------Nicholls--------- Edwards - Pearson - Helik - Spencer -----Matos ----- Kasumu----- -----------Rudoni-------------- ---Thomas---------Burgzorg---- ---------Radulovic-------------
If Lees was fit I we could have stuck Pearson at right back, but with Headley and Jackson having poor performances it seems the only sensible option.
I'd start with Radulovic and keep Healey as an impact player if he still isn't fit enough to play for too long.

Minimum of 2 points needed from these 2 away games. Looking at other teams fixtures on Tuesday, if we can get above another couple or pull further clear then I'd make us favourites to stay up.
Need to score first and capitalise on the good feeling from yesterday.

Games against Preston are always a horrible watch, fair play to those going, if we stay up and play them again next season I’ve resolved to do something else that day.
