My prediction for this match is a win for Bristol City 3-0.

So moving on from last night what are the thoughts for the weekend ? I really think we need to make a few changes and hope for some players returning. If same squad I would go with. Nicholls Pearson Helik Spencer Sorba Headley Kasumu Matos Wiles Healey Koroma Healey (even if its for 45mins lets start him and bring Bojan or Ward on) Burgzorg (I just think I would rather Josh played at the moment) If we have a few players back then Nicholls Pearson Lees Helik Spencer Hogg Matos Sorba Rudoni Koroma Healey We really need some of the injured to be back and ready to play, AB seems to be very cautious with any injuries long term this maybe the correct approach but right now we need some to play with a knock and do the best the can a 80% fit Rudoni is better than Wiles currenltly for example. I'd even consider putting Maxwell in. Koroma, should be benched. Lees and rudoni out aren't they? Genuine question, what did Nicholls do wrong in that last game? Or the ones before that for that matter.

If we manage to get a goal up, make the pitch as small as possible, ideally between our 18 yard line and halfway. Flood it and simply stop them playing. We might get a break or 2 but no over committing, no going too deep, too quickly and staying in too long. Kill the game. Its boring, it wont win any friends outside the away support but fuck em. Its what should have happened last night, Preston should have been trying to play short through a wall of town shirts, anything longer makes our keeper or the goal line favourite for the ball.. A team cannot play in your box or in space if you dont allow it.

Still spaces on the 3rd coach. You know you want to. I’ve paid for train tickets , why would I jump on the coach the train is still paid for ? I wasn’t talking to you

Two questions……. Is Hogg fit? What are away pubs recommended?

They better come out fighting in this game. So far they've proved to the fans that they're too soft for the fight and apart from a couple of players they're not fit to wear the shirt. Two years of this lot making a mockery of our club with spineless, half arsed performances is a joke. Show some fucking pride!!! Hear hear.

Gone for the draw simply out of pure optimism. I can’t imagine where the players heads are after last night but they need to get their chins off the floor and their heads back in the game. Anything is still possible (I’ve said all along we would win 3 and draw 1 of the last 6), a draw at Ashton Gate and then 2 absolutely must win home games and we’ll see where we are. Players have to find some belief from somewhere though.

They need to motivate themselves because no other bugger is going to do it. The main reason we lost on Tuesday was down to AB, full stop. Going for a draw 1 1

Two questions……. Is Hogg fit? What are away pubs recommended? The pubs will be fit for purpose, but I don't think anyone could recommend any midfielders

Our only hope is that Bristol City are on the beach. Problem is that Town are so accommodating that even if they are on beach, we'd be rubbing sun cream on their backs and bringing them pina coladas. They’re not on the beach. They’re still busy working their arse’s off. Alas ☹️

Silly me for thinking you were as you posted straight after my post. It was silly of you. Your post was directly after someone else’s post but no one was silly enough to think you were replying to them. You’d have point if you were the first to mention coaches on the thread but you weren’t. It wasn’t intended to be rude but probably read that way. Apologies 😂

Do we know if Balker is either gone for the season or potentially back in the squad over the next few games?

I thought after Tuesday we could probably be done.Last nights results has me now still clinging on 😂 Blackburn should be worried,Leeds,Wednesday, cov and Leicester to come.Looks tough(on paper)Birmingham also have cov but then they play bloody Rotherham before us,Norwich last of season.Plymouth Leicester stoke Millwall hull. The pressure is getting to everyone. We could do ourselves a massive favour with 4 points from the next 2.Iv absolutely no confidence we will get that but also wouldn’t be surprised because any logic has long since gone out the window. Be surprised if wiles plays again,I personally think there is a much better player than he’s shown this season but the two chances AB has given him he’s performed poorly. There is no potential of creativity whatsoever without him there but I think the plan needs to be keep it as tight as possible and try and nick it in this one,as ugly and poor as that maybe to watch. They’re off the back of 5-0 and will probably be fairly care free. Nicholls Pearson Helik Spencer Sorba Kasumu Matos Rudoni(I’m hoping) Headley Healey Koroma/burgzorg 3-5-2 We could stay with the 4 but left back has become a real issue. At this point who knows and who cares just take some points 😂

as they are on the beach after last nights canter should be a walk in the park seriously going to be very tough if Turton is fit for the bench might give him the first half and see how it go's and switch spencer to left back with Headly in front of him, Rudoni for Wiles if half fit - then pick the rest out of the sorting hat from harry potter cannot do much worse than we seem to - half time give everyone 4 vodka red bulls and a jagerbomb see if that makes them concentrate in the second half anything's worth a try

They've lost against Blackburn, Millwall, QPR and Sheff Wednesday this season. They're not Barcelona in their heyday.

I'd play a Labrador retriever over Ben Wiles. As others have said there isn't a football player in there.
Unfit, weak and no heart. An absolute shit signing when we needed a creative midfielder.
This is the problem. Now we have no one who can play centrally to unlock opponents defence. We must be the easiest team to play against.

I think best way to get a result here is revert back to a back 3. I hate when we play a back 3 but our left back options are terrible and Spencer doesn’t really have enough skill going forward and is solid at the back. 3-4-3.
Agree that Sorba needs a position to stick to and Kasumu has more defensive qualities that help us transition play.
Thought Burgzorg started well on Tuesday and hopefully he’ll be fired up after demanding respect from the fans. Healey starts and then Radulovic comes on 60+mins if we end up going in front (we can dream).
—————--Nicholls ——Spencer Helik Pearson Sorba————————- Kasumu ————--Matos Wiles Burgzorg ——————- Koroma ——————-Healey
It’s so hard to be hopeful after Tuesday. It was a proper gutter wasn’t it. Even a draw would be a good result here.
Heart: 2-1 town Head: 4-0 Bristol

I saw a suggestion that subbing Matos for Healey at 1-1 and putting Wiles in CM was 'like for like'. It makes us so much weaker in the middle to have Wiles there and then to put Sorba there later on just topped it off. The lack of physicality in CM without Matos in there was frightening.

I am just hoping for some kind of a result, after Tuesday a draw would seem decent, although we really need to win , I am going for 1-1 , just being hopeful I suppose.
