Sounds like André has seen enough of some of the lazy fuckers in the squad and will swing the axe tomorrow.

"[Walking around not trying] Not acceptable when you have no end product like some of our players”
Andre Breitenreiter says some #htafc players "did not show willingness to run back and work for the team" against Swansea and that he "will not stand for it". Acknowledges Saturday is a "do or die game - for both teams"

That was a very good interview from AB and for once we have a manager who isn't afraid to tell it how it is. You were shit and have been shit for a long time...if you think I'm being harsh then prove me wrong.

Fair play to whoever asked Matty Pearson to do the press conference too. A good PR move as he talks and sounds like we do and never uses cliche footballer chat. Last thing I want to hear in tomorrows pre match interview is Koroma talking down to his toes or Sorba Thomas saying 'for me' at the start of every sentence with that awful chirpy modern London accent he has. I read on here someone suggesting Matty Pearson has a new club lined up which I'm disappointed about. Think he's the type of character this club has lacked. Can hold his head up high, gets asked to play out of position most weeks, clearly limited ability at this level but I think he'd be a good player for League One...Not convinced he'll get a better offer but maybe he's ready for a new Club and 'journey'.

André not a happy bunny and understandably so. I think it's fair to say some arses will have been kicked. Whether it will make a difference is another matter. Good press conference I thought, he always speaks well and he's clearly very passionate even if he doesn't jump up and down on the touchline all match. Felt a bit sorry for the journalist who felt his wrath You do get the impression he's very frustrated with some of the characters in the team.

He has kicked some arse it seems, but trying to be postive after it and not just be down on the squad. Its the old shit sandwich thing, a negtive inbetween postives as such.

Had it not been for a ridiculous ref decision we would have hailed it as a perfect away performance. Bristol did nothing all game and I don’t remember Nicholls making a save, and away from home that’s a good performance

Pearson is part of the problem. One of the worst I've seen at Championship level distribution wise and while you can argue he isn't a right back, he has an awful habit of allowing right footed players to come inside instead of forcing them down the line. I wouldn't lose any sleep over him leaving

People often don't like these kind of statements about players who work hard but at the end of the day he's simply not a championship standard footballer. He just isn't. There's no shame in it. None of us are either. Very few of our team are either come to think of it!

There isn’t a team in League One where Matty Pearson wouldn’t walk into In fact he could well be our captain next season.

Interesting comment when he was talking about Koroma and his confidence (lack of) and for players not to think they're better than they actually are. I wonder who that was directed at

Might be decent in league one but there's plenty of that kind of defender knocking about in league one and many better. All the promoted sides from last season have centre halves superior to Pearson which tells me he wouldn't have walked in to their sides

I know next to nothing about their centre halves but there will be a reason they have been bumming around in Division 3 while Pearson got within an inch of the Premier League (where he would have got absolutely rinsed 😂)

I'm talking about Ipswich, Plymouth and Wednesday We'll have to agree to disagree. I wouldn't be adverse to him being a starter at centre half in league one but I don't think we'll have a hard time finding someone to replace him either

Would be shocked to see him get another championship club imo, lower league 1 is probably his level.

Pearains the type of character/ player we need if we drop imo. However, on a positive note. I saw the class 66 locomotive Huddersfield Town at work on my way down to st Pancras yesterday so we are all good! 6-1 town

My impression was that not only was he angry with the lack of effort from some players but that due to having such poor squad depth he can’t really drop them or at least not many of them. It highlights just how poor we have been squad wise and should never have let so many players go. Got the feeling that he has a very clear plan of what’s required next season.

At fault for their first goal last week, as was Nichols and others imo. And of course he's not a natural right back. If he leaves I'm sure it will be to a champ club.

Whatever happens, this game will live long in the memory. Along with the same opposition at home in 2001, Peterborough at Old Trafford in the play off final, Bournemouth in the semi-final of that year, Sheff U and Reading at Wembley. Revel in it... it's what supporting a club is all about.
Caveat: if we win against Brum, this carries over to Ipswich.

A few rums before the game usually takes the edge off the 90mins… might make em doubles tomorrow. Hopefully might win a bottle of it in the half time lucky dip

It highlights just how poor we have been squad wise and should never have let so many players go. Got the feeling that he has a very clear plan of what’s required next season. One of the reasons we are currently poor defensively, though that wasn't the case at Bristol, is our lack of fullbacks. Nakayama and Ruffels on the left and Turton on the right, leaving only Edwards as an out and out senior fullback. Good job we got Spencer back. I have a lot of time for Matty Pearson. He is a solid, no nonense centre back who scores his share of goals. He played very well in Carlos second season, all at centre back. He has come up through the conference and got close to being a Premier League player. He is not a fullback or a much of a ball player, but he doesn't do much wrong. Seems to work better in a three with wingbacks I think. If we go down he is one who will be a good asset at that level.

Sounds like André has seen enough of some of the lazy fuckers in the squad and will swing the axe tomorrow. I agree. I think part of his anger was he has no options so has to play them. I wonder if the lack of competition for places has led to complacency with some players?
