I can't see Rudoni wanting to stay after being hooked so early into the Ipswich match. Must have been embarrassing for him that different manager, plus its not just him that has had that done. Plus after what happened, to make AB sub him, he deserved it. Rudoni is a decent player yes, but he is very much replaceable and i would argue, if we have any kind of a budget we can replace him with better.

After his (lack of) effort at Ipswich, he can go for me. Reminded me of RVLP's final game for us away to Luton, an absolute disgrace of a performance. I mean he was fucking sold at half time that day 😂

Can’t just be me that thinks Rudoni hasn’t been that good at all? Looks tidy on his day but has the power of a 6 year old in his shooting and you can count on one hand the amount of times he’s unlocked the opposition and won us the game? I agree he's not hit the heights we expected but at least he gave our stodgy midfield a modicum of energy and movement.

It was one of the worst performances I've ever seen in a town shirt. He owed it to the fans not to disgrace the shirt, just like Rudoni.

I like Rudoni but happy to see him sold. Profit on the books, space in the squad.

Id be selling Rudoni for 2 million plus add ons. He has been an integral part of a midfield that cant pass a ball 5 yards.

I was quite surprised by his attitude that day, the one thing he can't be accused of in each of his previous games was not trying.

One thing you could never question about VLP was his attitude and work rate.

As I understand it yes, was happy where he was and his move lasted a few months after leaving us, hardly signs of him wanting the move and trying to make it work. Phil did some things well but he was an odd ball and did some utterly bizarre things in his tenor, warning signs were there when he made himself his own tracksuit?!

Just read in the Examiner {on line} that Cartwright says " The players I really want are out of our price range" So basically saying we will settle for 2nd best.... And we are expecting a good season?

Would’ve hoped for more than £2m, but that’s what happens in an underperforming team and after relegation. Lots of potential but if he’d taken more of the numerous chances he had last season then we wouldn’t be in this position. Cov have a great chance of promotion next season so hopefully there’s a promotion add-on as well. When we keep selling our best players it makes bringing through young players so much harder. We have seen it several times we have bought in young players from the lower league and dropped them straight in to a team where they have to be the leading the team without any quality around to help them make the step up. Rudoni took time to get to the standard required in the Championship but he was one of our better players and if we only got £2M for him it is a shame. Are we going to have to sell before we bring in any players? It looks like we will have a new look team so we need new players in as soon as possible, if we are to have a team ready for the start of the new season!

There's a player there but he kind of fits in between positions - probably best as the slightly more forward of a centre midfield pairing. Too slow and poor finishing to being able to play behind the striker. Think him being in a 3 in a passing team at Coventry would suit him. He's about to turn 23 and has been in a chaotic club on the slide for a couple of years. But I think he lacks the killer instinct, has missed glorious chances and seems to let frustration get the better of him. Don't think he's got the clinical mentality that a footballer needs to get the most out of their ability.

Let’s say duff were to go 3-4-2-1 could you see rudoni(if he does stay) been one of the 2 behind the striker, the other probably been wiles. Then the 2 behind that been a Kasumu type(possibly the man himself) and then a more playmaker type. Could work I suppose.

So in an ideal world for L1 level who can we see coming in as replacements for the players that are or even maybe leaving for pastures new! Joe Wildsmith - Jordan Williams - Callum Styles - Ben Osbourn - Thyreese Campbell - Joe Hungbo - Sheldon Baptiste - Callam O'Hare - Devante Cole - we all know names of players who have 'available on a Free transfer'next to their names. Just thought as a talking point if these or any others have been doing the rounds as potential new members of our 24/25 squad?

I also tend to agree in terms of end product. Very tidy like you say but generally been wasteful in front of goal. That could be partly down to the team he’s playing in/confidence due to the team he’s been playing in.Looked back at some highlights of him at Wimbledon that iv included here and one instance proving he can strike a ball and a couple where shows very clinical finishes. If he stays maybe the step down and hopefully a proper pre season and a full season under one manager he can thrive again.

I'd prefer someone behind the striker with the ability to run past a man and in behind, and I think we could get centre mids with a stronger mentality.

The other thing worth bearing in mind is that these aren't new comments. It's the Examiner recycling the Duff press conference from a couple of weeks ago and trying to pass it off as new "content".

Rudoni certainly leathered that one that came off the inside of the post against either Birmingham or Swansea. I am trying to forget those games. IMO he will have a good career in the top half of the Championship, when he gets playing with other decent players and coaching.

And we are expecting a good season? So far his first choices have not been any good, what chance do we have with his second choices? It does not sound like he is up to speed with the current going rate for players. Too long in the USA! I doubt that we will have a team ready to go when training starts, lets just hope we have one for the start of the season.
