Anyone who have been watching the game, are we playing more of a 3-5-2 with a flat central midfield 3 or are we playing 3-4-1-2 (3-4-3)? My guess going just on the team sheet would be Chapman Turton-Balker-Helik Kasumu-Wiles-Austerfield-Headley Healey-Bojan-Jones Helik middle CB, Balker left CB Jones RWB

Biggest concern for me is Nicholls not being involved again, is he on his way?

Helik middle CB, Balker left CB Jones RWB thanks! So something like: Chapman Turton-Helik-Balker Jones-Wiles-Kasumu-Austerfield-Headley Radulovic-Healey Pretty much, Wiles & Austerfield were switched from that line up

Did any of the new lads play? None of the 4, no. Sorensen started first half. Thought he looked decent, took up good positions to be available to receive the ball.

Biggest concern for me is Nicholls not being involved again, is he on his way? Saving him for a proper game. He'll probably start at Harrogate unless we are selling him.

For me the following all looked decent today..
Iorpenda Koroma Healey Radulovic Headley Kasumu Sorensen Helik
Balker was decent, and played some good forward balls, but also gave the ball straight to the opposition a couple of times. Likewise with Spencer.

Likewise with Spencer. Thought in that second half that Bslker, Kasamu and Wiles were giving the ball away much too often considering the level of opposition. I know it’s preseason but there’s a difference between tiredness and complacency, I thought (especially with Wiles) there was a bit of complacency.

He could be class for us this season Wiles actually played some decent through balls and started the half well. He took his goal well, but then seemed to lose concentration and gave away possession too much.

Don't think Wiles was poor....thought he took his goal well and played some lovely balls through and took up some good positions
Tell you what he did look though...fit! I thought they all did but really pleasing to see him fit. Hopefully that leads to a strong season for him

You could argue it was only Guiseley but I thought we played well and more importantly, looked organised and like we had a game plan. All in all, a good run out although next week’s opponents will probably stretch us more. Only slight concern as others have voiced is over Nicholl’s. I’d rather he didn’t go unless someone is offering silly money.

I'm not being unkind, but we are playing shite It's a preseason friendly. It's only the second game under the new manager. Two different teams playing each half. And we scored seven goals without conceding. Numpty. No excuse for giving the ball away, Numpty

Nicholls did play the emley game, probs just giving chapman a proper half . Nicholls was there today, if a move was about to happen why would he be there doing the warm ups ? etc you might aswell leave him at home if he was moving soon.

I was talking to a friend of his in Manchester Airport last August and he said Nichols thought he was better than us and he was surprised he hadn't left yet. Wouldn't be surprised to see him go. If he does I'd hope that we sign a replacement as Maxwell isn’t good enough.

He did play the 2nd 1/3 of the Emley game, I'd have thought he'd have played with Sorensen if he was expected to start the season with us.

In other news, I've got a Bradford mate who's gutted & thinks their title challenge is over already... after nearly an hour City are losing 2-0 at the footballing megapower that is Chorley, they must be coming in their ears.

12 goals in 2 games. Would like to see us play a decent side before the league kicks off though That's my worry. Don't see any of the teams we're playing in pre-season testing our defence too much.

The referee was the spawn of the devil: the commentators referred to the name ‘Moss’, but I didn’t catch whether or not they mentioned his father. Moss senior watched his son ref a match at Stocksbridge, versus Hepworth, (pre play-off final) and I wonder if he was there today.
