I wonder if Justasmithers can shed some light on whether international fans outside of the US will be given options to watch Town online. I received a very prompt response from Charlotte @ supporter services: "iFollow will only be affected with regards to Sky Sports with domestic streaming within the UK. If you’re abroad, you’ll be able to continue using iFollow as you have done in the past. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me." However, I follow requires that a supporter wanting to log on to Ifollow logs on via that teams own web site. As far as I can see there doesn't appear to be an Ifollow dropdown log on box on the new Town site - or if there is I certainly can't find it. Maybe it was missed off when the site was redesigned? Anyway, I've replied to Charlotte and hopefully it'll be resolved.

And an even propter reply: "As we are currently still out of season, the iFollow information is not currently available on our website. There was no need to add it to our new website at present. We will advise match by match how our fans can watch the games for both domestic and international viewing, however, if you require any further information in the meantime, please see the following website www.efl.com/how-to-watch/ifollow-and-streaming/ "

Can't believe the club are charging to watch these friendlies, when so far the previous friendlies look like they've been filmed from a potato 😂

Livescore have put Ben Jackson up front before on the lineup page before so I wouldn't trust them entirely on a matter like this without other sources backing that up.

Revisited the page, this time it said it was available to purchase rather than purchased - bought an Austria bundle, now it's back to saying Video purchased - that's fine, it's correct this time!
PS the bundle can take a couple of attempts if anyone's trying.

Sheff Utd have taken 'initial' allocation of 2336 for friendly v Town.......Don't expect home fans in south stand so presume they can take up to 4000 if demand requires it?

I don’t really want to mention this club, but I’ve just seen a picture of Pep with Mbete during their pre-season friendly with Celtic.
Testing him out for more minutes in the PL this season?
Brain fog, was it last season Mbete was here for a bit, or the one before?

It must have been two years ago we had him. We were a couple down at half time against Luton when he got subbed off. One of the worst loan signings I’ve seen. Up there with Michael Williams from Sheffield Wednesday although perhaps that’s being harsh.

I had the game on while doing other stuff, from the bits I saw I can definitely concur with your assessment about him being abysmal. I actually didn’t realise it was him until I read it on here. It was City’s first game of the preseason, so I wouldn’t read too much into him getting on the pitch. One thing is for sure, I wouldn’t want any of their defenders on loan here.

I'd have Rico Lewis in a heartbeat. In fact I'd sell every player we have to get him.

I can understand why you say it’s a strange take, as I said, I wasn’t watching the game closely, but every time I looked up the Celtic front 3 were giving them nightmares. The LB and Mbete got schooled. The right side looked only slightly better. Now you tell me it was Rico Lewis at RB, with no prejudice as to who it was because I had no idea, I thought he was ordinary at best. My comment about not wanting them here was based on their performances not who they are. But as I said, it was Man City’s first preseason game apparently, so as we know it’s hard to judge, but let’s be honest, the coaching staff are watching and judging all the time.

I mentioned on the other thread "Ex players" that Mbete was playing, he was as you'd expect beyond poor. Looked labored, caught out position a lot. But, it was a half decent-ish Man City side that included Haaland, Grealish, Phillips, Lewis etc It was weird though (yes aware it's pre season and early for them), but holding on to the ball, and playing with it way too deep, which probably put a lot more focus for me at least on the defenders, which as you say were less than convincing.

Yeah definitely not taking away from the quality of some of the players, my ears pricked up most times I heard Haaland and Grealish, so I would look up then too. TBH I’d never heard of Lewis before, so I wasn’t looking for him. The reason I had it on was because I follow Celtic as a 2nd team, they definitely have quality and pace in their front 3, way too much for Mbete to handle. I guess you can say there won’t be many front 3’s like that in league 1, but yeah.

Duff mentioned plenty first teamers getting 90 minutes in the game. Guessing Hogg, Chapman, Iorpenda, Harrett, Ruffels, Jones and Turton may have featured.
