How many Huddersfield fans approx Dunno but their next crowd was bigger, 14000 plus Anyone remember? No looking up Manchester United in the cup?

Assume it likely wasn’t their strongest first team outing… It pretty much was! In that case, bodes well…!!

Be great to win, but no counting chickens of course.
Would be even nicer to get an early goal to settle the usual nerves.
Saturday wasn’t the walk in the park some might have thought. Had we been more positive the heart in the mouth moment at the start of the second half wouldn’t have felt as worrying as it did.
Need to be on the front foot and taking advantage if they’re feeling a bit frail…
UTT!!!

Mick Buxton was the last Town manager to win his opening 3 league matches 45 years ago (on Sun), the 1st was a 2-0 victory over Aldershot at home followed by a 2-1 midweek win at Wigan (mare to find) & then on Sat 25th Aug 1979 we beat Doncaster 3-0 at home.......With the 1st two results identical to MB under MD then its got to be 3-0 this week, say it quietly but we won the title too that season. UTT.

I was there. IIRC we were on nothing more than a muddy bank. Don’t make ‘em like they used to. Didn’t the perimeter wall go ? Yes I was leaning on it,that wasn't the reason it went though!

9998, just 2 Halifax fans turned up. I was there. IIRC we were on nothing more than a muddy bank. Don’t make ‘em like they used to. There was a decent muddy bank to stand on supporting Town away v Chester at Macclesfield back in the 90's! LOTS fell and were completely caked !! 😃😃😃

Could have been Kettering or Altrincham. I was close to the front and ended up on the pitch with dozens of others.

In that case, bodes well…!! Every chance that they see us as a free hit and a chance to restore some pride after a tough week. I think they’ll make life very difficult for us, so an early goal would be ideal to knock the stuffing out of them.

I’d take a scrappy 1-0 all day long Definitely agree. No easy three points.

43 - 1 to Town, Danny Ward to hit 42, Lee Nicholls the other, and a late Danny Ward own goal to deny town the clean sheet

You can we’ve gone through a fair few years of being used to defeat by this thread’s comments.
This has comfortable win written all over it and so it should. Town won 3 on the bounce and our win is promotion, Shrewsbury lost 3/4 and drew the other with a League 2 team and their aim is survival.
Shrewsbury not kept a clean sheet in 15 and lost to both teams we’ve beaten in the league.
Town to win by 3+ (Not trying to be all “massive” and personally would have loved a point at Peterborough and see Rotherham as another I’d be happy with a point, but this game can and should be 3 points)

…….………………..Nichols ………………Lees - Helik - Spencer Sorensen - Wiles - Kane - Evans - Miller ………………………Koroma ……………………..Marshall (if Healey’s still out)
Gotta be this for me. Think Hoggy has been great but only needed when they end up being on the front foot. Don’t think that’ll happen in the first half.

I’m being very optimistic here and going for a 7-0 town win. We’ll give out a few drubbings both home and away to some teams this season and Shrewsbury will be the first one to be well and truly Duffed 😄🔵⚪️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️
