Duff lost us that game with his crazy decision to take our best defender off and not replace Koroma with Healey. Despite playing shit we were still in with a chance up to that point. To have Ben Wiles, the second slowest player on the pitch after Hogg, as your one man up front was criminal. Injured in the warm up (I kid you not). |

That game is petering out until the intervention of a quite frankly atrocious referee. We were poor, but were holding Rotherham at arm's length and fairly comfortable. The sending off is a disgrace all round. The defender dived. No contact and rolling around - presumably under instruction from his odious fat bastard criminal overlord. The linesman can see there's no contact. He can see it clearly. He can see that there's no elbow. So what he's doing fuck only knows. Ref cannot wait to produce a red card for the drama, presumably. The spotlight falling on him. Wow! More attention than he's had in years! People criticising Ward: fuck off. He's challenged for a ball he's perfectly entitled to go for without doing anything wrong. No elbows, no flying in with force, just jumps for a ball he can go for. A player is not responsible for a referee being stupid. Equally, if his opponent dives and fakes injury like that, then what can a player do? Not challenge them? Some would say yes, but you should be able to trust the officials to not make that kind of error and play into the hands of the cheat. Penalty is beyond soft. How he can give that when, in the first half, he saw Marshall being yanked over by an arm is incredible. So we go a perfectly good goal up and within 30 seconds they've got level through another shit decision against us. Consider last season when Kasumu was wiped out and got booked for diving. They dive, and get a penalty. It isn't on. It is consistent. Quite what our physio was sent off for, I don't know. Presumably the ref liked his card so much he wanted an excuse to get it out again so decided being on our bench was enough. For the Rotherham winner, Hogg has to do better. He has to win the ball. But people slamming Duff for his choices: what could he do? Koroma's knackered and needs to come off. We're a man light through ineptitude and cheating, and nothing to do with us, so we're outnumbered. We go ahead and within seconds the ref has pegged us back. What's he meant to do about any of that? 11 v 11 we've got them at arm's length, playing poorly on the ball, and so he makes changes to bring Hodge on. Hodge did well, not just with the goal, but pressing higher up. The instant we're down to 10, we can't press. I am sick of officials. We never get decisions. Three penalties against us and two reds already this season. Towards the end of last season, numerous penalties and reds for nothing. We never get those. We don't get fair treatment: if we did, we're getting at least a point this afternoon because Rotherham had run out of ideas. As it is, we've got nothing not just because of one decision, but because of two utter shockers directly coming from simulation. That's pretty much how I saw things. We need to be better on the ball (Hodge looks a step up in that respect) and we need to be less passive (although we defended ok don't invite teams to attack). The elephant in the room ie we need a striker, wasn't an issue. Koroma played well and we need to create more for Marshall. Overall very frustrating but not the end of the world. |

It was shite but what can you do with a cock like that in charge?If I was the manager I would have really struggled not to twat him in the tunnel First off dont run away after you score, dont immediately drop away. Sadly we follow virtually all the fucking nonsense 'cliches' of the football 'experts'. Ward cant win that header, he needs to be trying to intercept the defenders header. 5 yard run and pointless jump into the defender is just looking like you are doing something. Its doing 'just enough'. Sick of watching the club and the team just doing enough and blaming others when it fails time after time. |

Fans may just about be accepting of relegation (all that about a reset) on the basis there is a real go at going back up at the first attempt. Anything less followed by a season of “middling” and attendances will drop considerably. We’re still showing too many of the old traits that saw us relegated and to not get the signing of a recognised striker over the line in this window is unforgivable in my eyes.

No point blaming referees. It’s blatantly obvious by every game we’ve played this season that we play well for the first half and then second half we just shut down, go onto autopilot. Rotherham wanted it more If that was first performance of the season I’d be worried but duff should be wise to the fact we just don’t play football in the second 45 mins 🤒 That doesn't reflect the 2nd half at Peterborough. If there is a question it is why those standards haven't been replicated. That is what MD needs to address. |

The Ward red card gets worse the more you watch it
Never touches him with his arm and it's a clash or heads or more shoulder to head. At the very worst it is a yellow for timing his attempt wrong.
The penalty is somehow even worse. Their lad is the wrong side of the ball, throws a leg out in to Sorensen and falls over. The ref will surely be dropped for next week

Koroma & Nichols aside who I thought played well. The rest including the manager were as weak as fuck. Lost so many battles. Odd tactics. No press. Hoof ball to two tiny strikers. Ward like Pearson on Tuesday gave the ref a reason to send him off. Both should know better. Sorensen was weak for the penalty. Rule one clear the ball first. His worst game for us by a long one. Nagle must wish he had kept his mouth shut on twitter now that we only have 2 available strikers. Can see hodge playing in place of Evans. Some of Hogg’s passing was again truly awful. His legs have gone. Kane needs to get fit soon. Last rant. Nagle quoted they have brought in loads of firepower. I didn’t see any. Giving the ref a reason to send you off is not a red card offence. They were 2 pathetic decisions which have gone against us, along with 3 incredibly soft penalties so far. I got it wrong earlier. We've now conceded more penalties this month that we have been awarded in 2 and a half years. Ward led with his arm into an aerial challenge that he was never going to win. Yes the defender milked it, but I'd expect the same if it was the other way around. |

I like the guy, his heart is in the right place but some of the decisions since he joined have been truly dreadful. What's our net spend this summer?

We looked better with 10 so why did Duff take off our only attacking threat?? As soon as he took Koroma off it was like we had 9 men. Terrible game management today, even before the ridiculous red. Sorensen should have been taken off at HT, as with Evans, who's been awful since his goal. Wiles poor too, I really hope Hodge can offer more and Kane when fit again. Only positives today was Hodge getting a good start and Lonwijk grew into the game and looked fairly solid second half. On a final note. I hope they terminate Wards contract after that. |

Pathetic from start to finish. All over the place defensively, Sorensen was dreadful today, and what in fucks name Hogg was doing for the goal.
Ward is a joke and the fact he is on the pitch anyway tells you all you need to know about our strike force. Should never play again. Hogg shouldn’t be playing and that’s all on Duff I’m afraid.
The referee is not worth speaking about, just another one given everything against us. We should be asking for a meeting with the efl and taking all the evidence of big decisions we don’t get and other teams do, but we won’t. We dare not question anything and that’s why we get fucked over. Smile, nod and keep letting us get fucked.
I was a fan of Duff, but I’m not sure what he is playing at. Is he watching the games back and thinking Hogg is having good games? Start him again I really am done. Performances getting worse game on game, lucky against Shrewsbury, got what we deserved today. Work to do
