Serious real-ale drinking info.
The New York Tavern and the Cutlers Arms are both open from 10am. 3m walk from the ground. Away fans welcome. Both Chantry Ales pubs. Imo try the Miller's beer(5%) or if you want a new one, the Chantry Special(6.0%) The Special has just been voted Yorkshire Beer of the Year.

No logical reason why we won't beat them.
2-0 Rotherham

No logical reason why we won't beat them. 2-0 Rotherham Also no logical reason that:
- we draw - we lose

Have your shower played them since they moved Bilo ? Four times and we’ve never scored a goal there. Form team in the whole league are City, I read. Spread over last season sadly.

After we get beat tomorrow, it will be the same old question "we need a striker" same old Town Folk know including KN and all that we need a top end striker, that’s why we were after May and Taylor we missed out so we move on. The we need a striker quote as been said for a couple of years now , Saturday will just be another one of those days win or lose. Man City didn’t have a striker for a year and won the league , they got their striker eventually and won the treble. We can achieve this season but we still need a striker .

There are plenty of strikers out there you just need a good scouting system something we don't have anymore. Personally, i don't think we have a good striker since Andy Booth at this level and what ever happened to Leon Knight, was he on loan from Chelsea.

Think it’s safe to say we need a result and performance today. Results are obviously the most important thing but we need a statement performance to prove our other results haven’t just been because the standard of opposition is poor! 2-0 town healey and wiles!

Thin up top for this game. Sounds like Healey will be out with injury and we’ve let Harratt go.

Anyone else a bit confused at letting Harratt go out on loan when we haven't brought anyone in. Regardless of how good you think he is or isn't, he is still a striker.
We've got Healey and Radulovic who can't stay fit plus Ward who history tells us is bound to get injured soon.
That leaves just Koroma and Marshall who we can rely on. Surely we should have been keeping Harratt until January.

A defeat and no goals today and the whingebags will be out in force on twitter.
A lot of pressure on Duff to deliver today.

Don’t do twitter as it’s poisonous but there’ll be plenty on here saying the same thing, just maybe in a more restrained way. Justifiably so if the reason we’re mid-table come December is because of a lack of goals. It’ll be the same every week if the likes of Koroma are missing open goals and we’re losing games.

Just two defeats to Rotherham in 30 years under Powell (h) & Fozza (a) so a list Duff will want to avoid, the other list of 4 in a row seems less likely now after the 14 minutes of madness when conceding 3 goals at the Bescot on Tuesday night.
The millers can't buy a win currently but shouldn't be underestimated especially when playing Town who in the past tend to help out managers/teams desperate for a victory.......Would love us to be on 12 points at 3pm but more probable is ten & hopefully not still on nine. 0-0/1-1 UTT.

Surely we should have been keeping Harratt until January. Harratt is very poor, and in no way any good enough for this level at all. I don't see the point of keeping him with the sole reason being 'he is a striker' - If you're shit, you're shit. No matter what position. He doesn't score goals, and we'd be just as well chucking an attacking midfielder or any other player in there instead. Absolutely no loss... That is until we lose a match without scoring, and then of course everyone will say 'why did we let Harratt go/ he would have had a hatful' etc

It's not justifiable though. Bottom of the championships 4th choice striker was never going to come in and instantly turn our strike force around. I never quite understood the hype if I'm honest. I've said before that I feel we will just kiss out on play offs, however the new DM and CB has made me slightly more optimistic so am going to say we will hit 5th or 6th now. If we are pushing still by January and we bring in a decent striker then we may still have a chance of top 2. Slagging the owner and club off though ain't right.

A defeat and no goals today and the whingebags will be out in force on twitter. A lot of pressure on Duff to deliver today. Why? Tough game this and im sure a month ago we would all have taken a point both from there and posh. Tues night was utterly awful - but lets get some perspective. Wed won 4 on the bounce before then - last time we did that moses was a bairn! Disappointing to miss out on a striker - yup. Glad to have brought in two wing backs better than we had, a centre back whos won this league and three midfield lads, two of whom have done well at this level and one with experience higher up......abso bloody lutely.

Nicholls
Lonwijk Helik Lees
Miller Hodge Wiles Evans Sorensen
Koroma Marshall
With all the injuries we don't have many options on the bench, just hoping Healey can pass his fitness test to play a part.
2-1 town.

I'd take a decent performance, a 1 nil win, and no injuries. Particularly in the striker department.

I do think many are taking the cup game v walsall into account too much, ours wasnt an odd result as such but there certainly were in other ties with teams beating opponents from higher leagues, there might be similar concerns on some of those other clubs forums, a win and everything will be forgotten and we'll be the greatest again.
