Well done to Donny. Better side by far. Can't believe how bad some of the so called first teamers look. I don't like the body language of many. Losing can become a habit.
We need to sort it out quickly.
But I couldn't give a shit about this cup.

Getting outplayed by two league 2 clubs in a week is not just embarrassing, it's shameful. Another piss weak, fragile squad of players assembled. Slight over reaction there when we made 16 changes over the 2 games. Do you think Walsall and Doncaster didn't make changes? We're a league 1 club just out of the championship FFS! |

I wonder what it feels like to get penalties though? I keep saying it but until we grow a spine as a club and start putting pressure on the efl regarding our non awards and teams getting one every other game, nothing will ever change.
I have no words for the performance itself. It’s the only competition I couldn’t give a shit about and the result doesn’t bother me. However our performances, our style, our shape and any quality we showed has gone. Seems it was all empty talk by the manager/assistant after the Rotherham game cus we showed fuck all.

We were doing ok until he took the young lads off. Wiles couldn't pass wind, Evans did nowt again and Hogg's slower than a three legged tortoise. On the plus side Iorpenda had a good game and after a quiet start, 17 year old Ashia grew into the game and looks a decent prospect.

I like Duff don’t get me wrong he says all the right stuff but I’m seeing F*** all on the pitch. We are getting worse and worse and worse It’s the exact same style of play. The last few managers have played the same crap football. I’ve personally seen nothing yet from Duff to say anything has changed at all. |

Correction: equal numbers. Even so. Barmy statistic. Not just ‘barmy’, it’s absolutely scandalous how Town are repeatedly pulled up for the softest of penalties and are equally repeatedly denied absolutely stonewall decisions. I have a few ideas as to reasons. We're a soft touch for one - we historically haven't complained about officials either during the match or in post-match interviews. Unlike other clubs - virtually every other club - we don't pressure referees as a team. The end result is that we're easy to referee against while the opponents get decisions to keep them happy. It's also easy to book ours for dissent - one player complaining against half a dozen, and you don't book half-a-dozen (even though you should). But now we have a little disciplinary mark against us. We kicked up a stink on Saturday for the first time ever. In all the time yellow and red cards have been used on staff, we'd not picked up any. On Saturday we had however many sent off, and that will have got round. So because we kicked up a stink for the first time in a while, and because the referee utterly lost the plot, tonight's ref will have had not giving decisions in the back of his mind. We'd also had two sent off in two games, and had five penalties awarded in the previous eleven. The fact that those two dismissals were beyond soft is not in the equation: we're now a dirty team who need punishing in the eyes of officials. The penalties range from dubious to utterly scandalous, but that won't matter. Refs talk, and they know we've conceded a few lately. |
