Irrespective of the changes we've made tonight, losing and playing so poorly in the process is shameful stuff; more so after the Walsall shambles. We are going to begin seriously struggling in the league unless this alarming slide is addressed, and quickly. Based on what we've seen following the first half against Stevenage, we're League One lower half/relegation battle fodder this season. That's not an exaggeration by any stretch. This isn't just 'the pointless pizza cup' by the way. It's an important competition for teams at our level; the level we now deserve to be at, with a Wembley cup final at the end of it.

The fact some posters are playing this down is the exact reason the club, and players have a pathetic losers mentality. ‘It’s only the cup’… you mean a chance to test tactic tweaks? Keep fitness and sharpness levels? Make players hungry to play the cup games for the ones not getting league chances? The chance at Wembley? The monetary gains? The potential big boy games?
Oh and last but not least, gain a fucking winning mentality.

People saying it’s the pizza cup,correct,people saying last week it’s the league cup correct,on Saturday it was the league against 3rd from bottom,so how long before you realise it’s about performance as well as results and all three have been garbage,dress it up how you want,we are crap,the team is awful don’t kid yourselves

I know the level is pretty terrible tonight, but we have to see more of Iorpenda, he just has something Had we brought him in on loan from a PL side, we'd rightly be feeling quite pleased with ourselves. Hopefully this evening has ultimately been worthwhile in confirming his readiness to start League games moving forward. |

I can’t imagine the higher ups at town go around looking at positive posts but it does sometimes feel like they listen to the wrong people. The mindset of some fans does seem to be inline with towns small club mentality. They don’t listen to all the fans, just the happy clappers and the cowshed ‘loyal’. There’s 10000 fans who boo and grumble but who cares about us |

Ultimately we are not good enough right now. Yes we are injury ravaged, but we had enough 1st teamers on in the end to turn the screw and we didn't.
Balls over the top killing us AGAIN!
International break better yield some improvements from the training pitch, cause it appears some of our players don't recognise which shirt to pass to.

The play wew have seen this season reminds me of the the first season back in the Championship after out relegation from the Premier League.
We had some good players that looked shell shocked and appeared to be running through treacle. I think that it was only their quality that stopped us from being relegated straight in to League one.
We cleared them out and replaced them with worse players, but with a good coach we almost got back to the Premier League.
This time round we still have some of those players who are now older, slower and past it. We have mixed this lot together with a bunch of players who came down with them who looked like they couldn't be bothered to put in the required effort tonight.
Something is smelling of another relegation hangover season ahead of us.
