It's a tight call between him and Alex Dyer From hazy memory, Alex Dyer DID manage to score a goal for us. Struggling to see what sort of striker Ladapo is (aside from being a crap one). Doesn't shoot, can't run with it, can't hold it up, can't head it. I could be describing Radulovic there, too. He scored at home to West Ham in the cup. Even Dyer was better than Ladapo.

Sorry to repeat what I said on another thread but it is obviously directly relevant to this thread. Ladapo is fucking useless. He lumbers about up front with the play going on around him. The one time he had the ball it was stolen from him easier than candy from a (big) baby!

We gave a chunk of minutes to FOUR strikers tonight.
NOT ONE looked above Conference level, although Marshall ran a lot.
Add this to a midfield that is regularly awful - I realise that strikers depend on the midfield and vice versa.
Duff is not blameless but he is not a magician.

Aah, but, don’t forget, he impressed most in his signing presser.

Did more than Radulović, give him a bit of time… That’s not true though is it. Radulovic at least led the press and closed down at pace.

Still wondering what Cartwright was thinking. 2 year deal? We’ve made some awful signings in recent years, but could this be the worst? He was desperate and took a gamble. It's a pathetic signing, he looks absolutely crap.

Scratching around in the out of contract players market is what happens when you don't get your recruitment right.
Town should know all about this from recent years.
Get Ward back on the bench over this guy. What a fucking mess.

At pace, he has the same speed as my grandad and he has long since left this world. He is awful, ladapo is awful, ward is awful, Healey is crocked To be honest I think Harrat would be our best striker if he was here....that is how bad things are.

We've signed some poor strikers in the last eight years and Freddie is just one more to add to the list.

We've given him 2 years - I find that incredible. Right up there with the worst decisions in the last few years - and there have been some shockers.

I don’t know what’s going on with this bloke. In the game time he’s had I’ve seen nothing, other than a lazy CF who doesn’t challenge for headers & probably expects a lot from his teammates.
Not looking like a good signing at this point, hopefully he improves and bags a few goals, but the early signs are not good.
At least Ward tries when he’s on the pitch, as do our other forwards. Even Simpson showed 100% more effort in the few mins he had with us than this bloke.

Offers nothing at all. Dont think if I'd come on as a sub I'd have made less impact.
Id rather we'd have kept Harratt.

He was without a club so the ball, so to speak, was in our court. Should have offered him a year with the club having an option on another year if he impressed.

No physical threat in terms of strength, pace, endeavour or aerial ability. No technical threat in terms of touch, finishing, positioning or creativity.
At least Hudlin was taller than the opposition players so had one thing over them.

I’m guessing, and vaguely recall from seeing him against us, that he was quite a strong runner and now his legs have gone. Terrific buy.

Didn’t see him last night but he was poor against Blackpool. However, he’s lacking fitness and match practice and has consistently scored goals over the last few years. Unless his legs and desire have gone, there’s no reason he can’t do well this season. He should easily get double figures.
