can't start hodge he is too small, duff words not mine. How short is Hodge 3ft 6? he can't be much smaller than Hogg or Marshall. Excuses not to drop Hogg it seems more like. Are you talking about what he said in the presser? He said something along the lines of “you (hodge) have to be a good footballer when you’re that small” but different to, “in not starting him because he’s small”. Or has he said something else? It just seemed a bit excuse like to me, as he then said he has to learn what our 6 does. He has being here a month or so. How long does it take to learn what hogg does? He seems to have brought it up to excuse not starting him now . It has nothing to do with his height , he is a good footballer end of. Hogg is an inch taller, what does this mean? Hodge is by far a better footballer and actual footballer not a , i tackle people and thats it . |

Tbh, even if we play like real Madrid and win 8-0, I won't be confident we've solved the problem of our inconsistency.
The thing about 'consistency' is, it isn't just one game.

No what i meant was Duff saying what he said is sort of an excuse waiting to happen sort of thing. I mean for example Nigel started straight off the bat, what happened to his "learning our style" . I just felt it was an excuse wink wink hint hint sort of thing. To try and damper fans expectations of him starting anytime soon. As he then went on to say he is a 6, which is Hogg's place and he will never drop Hogg.
It is like when he said about young players a few weeks ago, that "young players have to learn, the standards of a senior player. Such as not giving the ball away often!" . HANG Duff Hogg and Wiles give the ball away near enough every pass they make? I get a worry he is picking players on name value, not on what they can actually offer and thinking of excuses to carry on the same.

Hodge is 5'6" Hogg is 5'7" Exactly when Duff was talking about it, it was like there was a huge difference. I am sure a certain Mr Mackele was not very tall himself or kate for that matter. It seems a little bit daft to bring up his height, as if it was why sign him? Well he's starting in place of Hogg tonight so hopefully he does enough to keep the shirt. |

Hogg dropped to the bench. Hodge and Kane in. Headley in so he has been given another chance or this allows Duff’s favoured formation.

If Miller even has one good leg he needs to start. Hogg and one of Wiles or Evans out for Hodge and Kane, if Kane isn't fit enough to start yet or a risk for a full game then Iorpenda. Koroma and Ladapo up front. Really glad Duff reads DATM. I can understand Headley starting as there isn't anyone else to play that position but at least he's taken notice of the rest of it. |

Hogg, Helik, Headley, Marshall all droppable. Hodge, Spencer, Kane and Lapado in. Change the formation also. In our three opening home league games (all 3pm Sat) we have looked lack lustre & energy less, we got away with it in the other two but got found out comfortably yesterday from the fired up Cobblers........With two night matches & two early starts (Rotherham was @12-30pm) in the next four before the break lets hope MD & staff have us prepared more like we were at Bolton/Peterboro. Lets hope the changes work........UTT. |

Marshall doesn't look 6ft but that could be his hunched posture My mistake, he is shorter than that. His height stats do vary depending on where you look, but he is under 6ft. |

Im going for a loss tonight. I appreciate that people want certain players taking out the starting eleven on recent performances. But I don't honestly think the replacements are any better.
Once again we are weak in all departments this season. The only saving grace is the standard is poorer in this division.
