Watched the replay numerous times, very clear that Pearson was onside, linesman was behind play, wasn't in a good position to flag for offside! Nigel Lonwijk was in an offside position, as others have stated, didn't touch the ball, sometimes the lino flags, sometimes not! - UTT.

You can't go and try to head a ball in the middle of the box and claim to not be interfering. How does the keeper know which player is going to head the ball? It's offside and rightly ruled out

I cannot see that anyone has mentioned that their player took two touches when taking the corner leading to their second. Unless I have missed something, commentators did not mention this either so it could be that the rules have changed?

If he was moving it to the line before hitting it then it was a rolling ball. Either way it was illegal.

Typical of the standard of refereeing, allowed the rolling ball to be played, as you said!

The freekick from Evans, was never near Nigel, he didn't challenge for the ball, therefore couldn't have been interfering with play.

He jumped and it was about an inch over his head. Mine and yours definition of "never near" must be very different. If leaping for a ball on the six yard box isn't interfering with play then they might as well do away with the rule

No the commentators never mentioned it and, no, the rules haven't changed. Illegal and play should have been stopped.

That's really depressing - "... Not sure what happened to them 2nd half as, to be honest, we were probably there to be trodden on but the visitors didn't give it any kind of go. We fashioned enough chances and finally buried one around the hour mark. - We have a very lightweight midfield still and no specialist full-backs. Our academy-sourced fill-ins are doing a remarkable job to keep us going - though 90' is often their undoing as they seem to fade badly late on....."

If leaping for a ball on the six yard box isn't interfering with play then they might as well do away with the rule Nigel was outside the 6 yard box, the went looping above his head & dropped to Matty Pearson. My point is Nigel wasn't active, as he didn't receive the ball, as it was headed home by Matty. It's odd that many commentators & fans, frequently complain that lino's call offside, far too late, only when the player becomes active. In the good old days, the linesman would have flagged Nigel offside, changes to the offside law, makes it difficult i.e. active or not active. On this occasion the lino flags too early, think we'll have to agree to disagree - UTT.

I’ve went for a draw in this one... Met a Reading fan in Oban Town Center today bedecked in his blue and white Hoops, told him I was a Town fan, (I only had Terriers EST. 1908 T-shirt on) he was gobsmaked, really nice lad, he’s not confident and I told him neither was I 🤭 I’m in Inveraray tomorrow meeting ma niece’s Daddy, his brother, and another lad for a Hooley of music (they’re playing) and booze and whatever else comes the way for the next two days, I’m leaving Connel early doors, hope to be in Inveraray around 11.30am and car dumped at the house the lads have hired and to be in the pub and hopefully persuade them either in The (ironically enough given I’ll have a Town top on) George Hotel and see if they’ll put Reading v Huddy on for me, but it clashes with St.Johnstone v Celtic and that’ll probably win the day in that village in both The George Hotel and The Inveraray Inn... Anyway - Win, Lose or Draw I’ll be bedecked in Huddersfield Town attire for most of the day and early evening on Saturday and Sunday... Gotta spread the word of HTAFC everywhere we go you know !!!! 😊 👍 PREDICTION = Reading 1 v Huddersfield Town 1 A very disappointing result to dampen what was otherwise a pure fab weekend ahead in Inveraray with a great set of Glaswegian Lads... Anyway the HTAFC attire stayed on the weekend, Sunday as well and home today via a different route via, Struchur, St. Catherine’s, Tighnabruich And Portavadie Ferry to Tarbert... This is now becoming quite a serious, serious slump in form and where it stops I don’t even know... Canny see it being tonight v Birmingham City - But hey ho who knows with HTAFC !
