Helik out for 6 to 8 weeks. Got a move coming in Jan? He has been poor last few games anyway.

Got a move coming in Jan? He has been poor last few games anyway. Don’t think he’s pulled up any trees all season to be honest. That said he’ll still be a miss.Wonder if that means a chance for Matty Pearson.Or does he just go with what we finished the game with Tuesday.maybe a difficult game to come into but don’t think Spencer looked any better for moving to his natural side to be honest!I know he’s not as naturally attacking but does he move to wing back instead of Sorensen and we bring in someone like turton to play at the side of lees or Pearson?who knows really

As Reading away is the most local game for me, I'm heading down with a friend! Does anyone know what the parking situation is like around the Madejski ? We parked at the Holiday Inn about a 15 minute walk away. Very quick back onto the motorway afterwards. It's much cheaper if you book it in advance - think it was Your Parking Space that I used

Duff is still insisting the shape isn't a problem, so I guess it will be a back three again.

We need a proper reaction that’s for sure. Maybe being away from home will help ? They shouldn’t be nervous the poor little mites.
Nichols
Spencer lees pearson (pace in abundance lol)
Sorensen hodge Hogg Kane miller
Koroma Marshall
Subs Chapman Lonwijk Evans Wiles Kasumu Ward Turton
Bojan and ladapo can go and practice running somewhere.

Huge game for Duff. Lose this and i imagine we also lose the game after. Seems bonkers to say it but we could be playing Barnsley with his job on the line. We know they're not great at managerial appointments though, how many more do we need before we realise it's the people doing the appointing who are the issue.

Is Miller back, or is this another Huddersfield Town mystery injury where we won’t see him again til Xmas and we’ll just constantly get told he’s 2-3 weeks away? Helik probably won’t play for us again as 6-8 weeks at Town means 3 months +. We have the most pathetic weak footballers on the planet, and the medical team are like an overprotective mother to them once they feel a niggle! “On my boy can’t play today he’s got a poorly foot” PATHETIC!
Rant over!

I read with interest that people think Lapado will score in the next game which I hope he does. Unfortunately his basic ball control is atrocious hence when he plays we have no target man up front. Couple that with Bojan who never participates in aerial duels and we have a worrying picture of available forwards. Marshall looks lightweight and Koroma quite rightly has been criticised for being a one trick pony. I look forward to the day we have a decent forward line who are mobile and able to instill fear in defenders. Whilst I have focused on our forwards we seem to be lacking quality all over the pitch however at this level even those being suspect with footballing skills should be able to compete. Duff seems to think it’s not commitment that is the issue however the fragility of our players has come to the fore again as the going 1 nil down seems to see us visibly wilt and assume we are going to lose. These players are getting well paid to have a professional attitude and compete in whatever circumstances they find themselves in so I am waiting to see a reaction from individuals who presently will not stand up to be counted.

This is the sort of game where most people expect us to lose and perform crap but then we end up playing brilliant and win 3-1 or something!!!! Fingers crossed now that we don't get spanked 5-0. Lol

Ladapo will trap one in from 35 yards, watch this space… 😉

Quite a number have gone for the Hogg, Hodge & Kane trio tomorrow, I think they could be correct with Wiles & Evans the two that come to mind when MD is talking about 'soft under belly'........Although their two best performances have come on the road at Peterborough & Bolton, so who knows, apart from Hodge looks a definite starter.

Referee is Scott Oldham, he did Birmingham v Wrexham last Monday night......Gave the Blues captain a red card so possibly missed out on a few autographs?

For all the flack I might get, I honestly think we’d be better in a 4-4-2. I think Ruffels and Spencer can overlap (because I’ve seen them do it before) but not leave us for dead like a pushing Sorensen does In a 3-5-2. I want to feel like we can actually play it up the middle, we put way too much emphasis on the wings.
Nichols Spencer, Lees, Lonwijk, Ruffels Sorensen, Hodge, Wiles, Miller Koroma, Marshall.
Also as a note, I would like to have Headley and Ladapo nowhere near our team; also reading are fast, I really don’t want to see Hogg for this game.

I’ve went for a draw in this one...
Met a Reading fan in Oban Town Center today bedecked in his blue and white Hoops, told him I was a Town fan, (I only had Terriers EST. 1908 T-shirt on) he was gobsmaked, really nice lad, he’s not confident and I told him neither was I 🤭
I’m in Inveraray tomorrow meeting ma niece’s Daddy, his brother, and another lad for a Hooley of music (they’re playing) and booze and whatever else comes the way for the next two days, I’m leaving Connel early doors, hope to be in Inveraray around 11.30am and car dumped at the house the lads have hired and to be in the pub and hopefully persuade them either in The (ironically enough given I’ll have a Town top on) George Hotel and see if they’ll put Reading v Huddy on for me, but it clashes with St.Johnstone v Celtic and that’ll probably win the day in that village in both The George Hotel and The Inveraray Inn...
Anyway - Win, Lose or Draw I’ll be bedecked in Huddersfield Town attire for most of the day and early evening on Saturday and Sunday...
Gotta spread the word of HTAFC everywhere we go you know !!!! 😊 👍
PREDICTION = Reading 1 v Huddersfield Town 1

I’m wondering if Kasumu could maybe get a start at right wing back today? He’s always done a very decent job there and Sorensen is in poor form. Playing him there and Brodie right cb(though I’m increasingly not sure of Spencer at cb) means we can change in game to a 4 at the back of things aren’t working.Brodie can shift to right back with headley or miller dropping to left bank and Kasumu can shift into midfield and you could go something more like a 4-4-2 diamond. It just means that you have more ability or confidence to change it in the first half without having to make a substitute.

Unlikely Duff will move from three at the back away from home just yet, Hodge is wasted in DM role which is a disciplined position for a young kid with bags of energy, Hogg & Matos looked good together in some games (esp under JW) last season. Take out Ruffels & Wiles for Hogg & Kane in 3-5-2.......Put this weeks horror show behind us with another away day win. UTT.
