I promised I wouldn’t start another match thread as my record is sketchy at best, but not sure I’m the bad luck omen I thought I was… 😂
UTT!!!

I’ve actually braved it and selected “Score More Than Them” = HTAFC Win...
Simply because - WE F*UCKIN HAVE TO !
Or it’s gonna need to be Cuffs for Duffs (Outta the building) ! ☹️

Lost all interest, probably a draw which Duff will claim as a victory cos we had a decent xg!

Chapman Spencer | Pearson | Longwijk Sorenson | Hodge | Iorpenda | Wiles | Miller Koroma | Bojan
You can change Wiles for Evans or whoever. They're all ridiculously out of form.

Oh no , It's all going horribly wrong again! I cannot see anything but a Barnsley win if I am honest , you just have to hope Duff can turn things around, I doubt it will be on Saturday though. 1-3 to Barnsley.

With five defeats in our last six league games we are really embarrassing ourselves as so called promotion favourites, the two recent starting line ups screamed panic & desperation from a manager trying somehow to stop the rot (IMO). MD needs any sort of positive result on Saturday against a team he managed who have missed out on going up via the play offs two years consecutively, just one league defeat on the road at Stevenage & one of five teams with 3 away scalps.......I haven't a clue who will start or if MD has any kind of plan to stop Barnsley taking all the points, we are at our lowest position in well over a decade & right now I would take a 0-0.

See nothing but a Barnsley win, we somehow need to get behind the lads especially in a derby like this but can’t see it, if lees and ladapo are starting im going nowhere near the stadium

Half watched their game on Saturday and whilst it was dreadful league one shit I recall thinking how well organised and much more like a coherent team they looked and thinking they’d muller us right now..

It sounds stupid for a club that recently had aspirations of automatic promotion but honestly I'd just park the bus for this one. Everyone behind the ball. Anti-football. If we can hit them on the break then great but for the most part if we can shithouse a 0-0 with a low block, time wasting and throwing ourselves to the ground wherever a Barnsley player comes within 10 yards of us then so be it. We just have to stop the rot.
We've then got an international break. Work on playing a different way. I'd suggest either a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.
And yes, I accept the argument that tactics are a bit of a red herring if your players are not doing the basics well, but maybe a change of approach could help refocus the players' minds and kill two birds with one stone.

The squad suits a 4231. Problem is we’ve got rid of all our wingers….
Chapman
Brodie Pearson Lonwijk Miller
Hogg. Hodge
Sorensen. Evans. Koroma
Bojan
The no 10 role is tricky but I think Evans would offer more if we reduced the ground he needs to cover. Even then whilst I believe that’s our best formation I’m not sure the players are good enough to play any structure.

Another new referee for Town on Saturday, although Herts based David Rock has overseen two games involving our opponents, a 7-0 rout of Port Vale at Oakwell last season which followed a 0-0 draw at Bolton when MD was manager.....Lets hope he will give Town a little helping hand to keep the sell out away end quite.

Can't go Saturday and I feel blessed.
Watched Barnsley the other night against Stockport and they didn't look great, but as we know, teams don't need to get out of second gear to beat us.
2-0 Barnsley.

Problem is you can’t do it at home.fans be going berserk! You’d end up with a more negative atmosphere than if we were going for it but losing in my eyes. It was crap last night and has been for a good few games.Give the same intensity as the first half hour last night and cut out the mistakes of Northampton,Blackpool and reading and we’ll more than likely do enough to win. That said with confidence seemingly an issue we could maybe do with something dropping for us to get us on the way!

It’s my birthday on Saturday and my grandson is one of the mascots so have gone for the win. The last time my birthday was on a Saturday the Cowleys’ got their first home win beating Hull 3-0. Hoping for a similar result but a scrappy 1-0 will do!

Nagle should do one of those prize draws this weekend. Get some feel good factor going.
100 iPads up for grabs, holiday in USA etc…

From who may be fit...
Chapman
Sorensen lees pearson miller
Hodge kasumu Iorpenda Evans Kane .
Koroma
Back 4 so they all know what they are supposed to be doing and where they are doing it. Spencer and the new lad are cover for all 4.
Full backs who can support forward but who have 3 central midfielders of which one can drop in as cover.
Kane because he can pass the fucking ball and he has 3 central midfielders, one of whom can cover him and support him by taking easy passes and give it him back...
Evans to support forward the single striker in most open play scenarios, with Kane supporting him and 3 central midfielders suppprting and covering them??
Ie, use the midfield fucking better to go forward and then to defend.
The 3 central defenders and 2 wide midfielders bollocks with wing backs is leaving us short on turnover down the wide and totally gaping down the middle, we are watching it happen...🤪

New formation tried today in training behind closed doors for 30 mins. The mannequins had 75% possession. UTT.

Was very tempted to do something else with my Saturday this weekend but I do think this is where our fortunes will turn around. Get Hodge in the middle with Kasumu with Miller creating and I think we can get back to winning ways.
