I'm struggling to fathom how Iorpenda can't even get on our bench. He looks quality He offers something different to what we have - strong runner into channels and space and looks to play give and go. Lots of potential.

Our breaks due to international fixtures hurts us, I belive.
Would have been good to keep the momentum going this weekend.

Just for anyone who cares:
Barnsley play Doncaster on 29th October. Town play Man United U21s on 12th November.
If Barnsley win in 90 minutes, we qualify by avoiding defeat in 90 minutes.
If Barnsley win on penalties, we either have to win on penalties AND score 3 more goals than Donny (they draw 0-0, we draw 3-3, they draw 1-1, we draw 4-4 etc), or win in 90 minutes.
If Donny win (either in 90 minutes or penalties), we have to win in 90 minutes to qualify.
That's clear as mud, isn't it?

Suddenly we look a different animal. Some lovely football. Yes Barnsley were woeful, but this was a massive step up from Doncaster and Walsall!

Low intensity game that resembled a friendly, but valuable minutes for some of them. Good to see we have options up front again .

So Town have to beat Man Utd under 21s, to progress in the competition unless the Massive South Yorkshire derby result does Town a favour should they lose, Town have beat the 1st team 2-1 quite recently, the stadium should sell out for this amazing clash, what a money spinner this amazing competion is👍👍

Great to see Ladapo and Wardy score tonight
Ladapo only been in building a couple of weeks and same amount as Radulavic
Hopefully Radulavic spurred on to put that circular thing in net

I'm struggling to fathom how Iorpenda can't even get on our bench. He looks quality Miles better player than Evans, who apart from his free kicks has looked shite for the most part.

That's 2 of us that'll be there then, although I'll be surprised if the crowd dips under 3k. I bet you 50p Arty that there’s less than 1,500 there! Looking on the site map now there’s hardly any seats taken so far. Bugger. 2,182. Do you take Monopoly money Christ in Shades (art)?

Good performance overall. Kane looked the part, Evans put a shift in, Bojan and Freddie had another good game.
Have we turned a corner? Who knows but it was good to see us build some confidence and momentum thanks to two sub-standard Barnsley teams.
Noted Jon Russell still has the engine of a dead snail.

I know the name doesn't carry the weight it once did.

Just had a peek at the Barnsley Forum - not a happy place, obviously.
I get the feeling that they're not particularly keen on Jon Russell.

Apart from Rob Kozluk's son now being a pro footballer... Ian Wright's grandson is also a professional footballer. 23 years old.

I had a look at the stats on the BBC to see if they were in accordance with how I saw the game. We dominated playing at 2/3 intensity. We should have won by more. I wasn’t quite expecting to see us having 24 shots to 1. Barnsley’s side was a side of fringe players, but even so. Utter domination without really breaking sweat. The only disappointment was not bagging half a dozen.

Barnsley were crap (again) but it's two results that we can hopefully use as a platform to build upon.
Can't really judge anyone too much on the performance though as I doubt we'll face worse opposition all season.

We were alright and Barnsley were horrendous. Pretty shit game for the most part. Most entertaining minute for me has to be the 69th when I had the mint seal bar I brought with me.

To any supporter of either team who went to this great respect to you all, even bigger respect if you go watch the under 21s game, i know this reserve team is a common thing in the European leagues, we got Dortmund B boss and it brought great times, money talks now and it is killing the game, i would not watch a game in this competition until it returned to its original format, if i was a Leyton Orient fan in a flat with a stadium view blinds be shut.

Some good approach play but my God these two have got to be the slowest strikers both in thought and action we have ever put out It is basically why they are playing though isn't it? Both didn't have a full pre-season and Duff talked about getting them fit and up to speed.
