The slight change in shape and the introduction of Kasumu has completely changed the trajectory of our season. I would argue he is our key man now.
Back 3 look solid and settled. Will be interesting to see what happens when Helik and even Baulker are fit.
Nothing to fear in this div based on what I have seen, autos is doable.

Live not far from Exeter and can assure you that this is going to be a bigger test for towns defence than many people think You need to stop listening to the locals.Especially if they have six fingers on one hand and play a banjo ! As for Town starting to look a cohesive unit at the back - Longwijk is pretty silky and Pearson as dependable as ever ! Roll on the next game.....I may not be getting my buttocks out on the town hall steps after all

Solid, workmanlike performance without looking brilliant. Clean sheet and a comfortable enough win that keeps us well in the promotion chase.
The Wiles goal was nearly a carbon copy of the Kasumu one against Barnsley the other week.

Good routine win against “one of the better teams” who had conceded least in the league and had 6 clean sheets in a row before the last game.
Again shows the quality of the league, really the vast majority of the games this season should be as routine as that today. Very nice to hear Lees and Duff say the same in the post-match interviews, a nice change of mentality.
We’ve gained some points on those above/around us today but have to keep stringing wins together as it’s still very tight at the top.

Professional performance, I don't think it's an exaggeration to say we literally didnt get out of 1st gear today...Can only beat what's in front of you and all that.
Happy for Wiles to be brave enough to take a shot.
Pearson has seized his opportunity by the scruff of the neck - I wouldn't be brining Helik back into this defence even with Lees in the twilight of his career.
Poor game for Chapman today; would end the experiment now; he's not far from a mistake.
Surprised that Oggy and Glennon kept referring to the lack of volume in the stadium; these fans have seen this side lose almost every week for 10 years and dropped to a level we shouldn't be at.. it's hard to get excited about Crawley at home and Burton away. Arrogance it may be however I do expect us to beat 90% of these sides at home and the majority way. To have lost 5 of 13 is a poor showing frankly. We were absymal last season but this side is still levels above 65% of this division

Other than the 5 minutes after half time and one chance they got after the ref just didnt give the most obvious foul in the whole game, that was pretty much a good, routine home win. Marshall ran his arse off and our corners looked very dangerous. We got up the pitch a bit and all 3 central defenders look better there than too high or too deep. A couple of nice moves that brought disallowed goals thrown in.. Never been anything wrong with a solid 2 0 home win..

Good day at the office, defended really well, put bits of nice passing together & could/should have had more goals. Longwijk MOM for me though all the back 3 & Kane were good, Marshall ran his bollocks off & should have been subbed earlier.
Shout out to the ref who started the game by showing he wasn't going to give soft free kicks & put in the best reffing performance I've seen this season. Duff seems to think Ward was on side 1st half but that'd be down to the lino anyway.
Good 3pts onwards & upwards.

Another good result and performance, particularly defensively against a good side. Thought same about Wrexham.

What I'm liking at the moment is that you can see we're improving, now getting used to the style that the manager wants us to play, and looking a lot more like an organised unit. At some point we'll really start hitting our straps.

It's like a different country down Devon and Cornwall compared to West Yorkshire and the majority of England. They don't know how lucky they've got it. It's okay with the lovely beaches and nice pubs, bars etc. Not so good are train services - 60 miles to Exeter, the nearest main line station. There is a connection from newly opened Okehampton, but even that is 30 miles from Bude. Nearest hospitals are Plymouth (45 miles) and Barnstaple (35 miles). Can feel a bit cut off in winter. Work in North Tawton, stop in Exeter Premier Inn usually though have stopped in Tiverton.

Chapman needs to improve dramatically on crosses or he won't go much higher than L1. He isn't over tall for a keeper but still needs to do better. I haven't seen him take one cleanly yet. However he was better than the midget they had in goal.

Good finish. We're comfortable here but it's a tough watch. I can see why people say football isn't what it used to be. Most of the time I tend to disagree but there are games where I have doubts. Before Wiles scored I was wondering if it was ever this bad the last time we were in League One? The standard is awful. We had Roberts on one wing Pilkington on the other, Rhodes and Novak up front. And still couldn't get out of the division.

Easy win without really getting out of 1st gear, it makes me think "what may happen when everyones fit". As you would asume , when Helik,Balker,Nicholls,Koroma and Sorenson are all fit they start. That isn't even mentioning Hodge and yet we win today at a canter without even as i say going out of 1st gear. This league is poor and the club have to understand the oppotunity that is in front of them, to get back to the champ at the first time of asking. January could be key and bringing the right finishes to the season in, will be very important.

A good professional performance and at last, we are looking like a team who are going to challenge for promotion. When you look at Exeter’s position in the table, you realise that this league is there for the taking. Great performances from Wiles, Virgil, Lees and Pearson but most impressive imo were the workrate and energy of Marshall and the ever improving Herbie Kane.

We're crying out for a quick striker. The amount of times this season we've punted it forward only for Marshall to get out paced by some journeyman clogger of a centre half is so frustrating.

Ward was onside for the first disallowed goal, but was also just off in the build-up to the corner that led to the opener. Both were very tight indeed, and they evened out. We can take an error if we’ve had benefit of one.

Love how you forget the one where he punched if clear to stop their man at the back post.... I didn't forget it, I must have missed it or it was after I posted. As I said I am not going off just today's game. Be honest do you think he is good on crosses ? It's his weakness. He will get better with them. I hope.

Good performance, could have been 3 or 4 - 0, thought that Wardy was onside, fortunately, didn't matter, well done boys - UTT.
